The park we go to is conveniently located on Clawiter Rd, just off Hwy 92, at the Hayward Shoreline, which has plenty of spots to fish. You can also jog, walk, bike ride, take pictures or just chill. They have an ADA porta potty and plenty of empty parking spots most of the time. The only thing is the Porta Potty is always full of sewage and dirty. They need to do a better job at maintaining it and servicing it

I love coming here and just exploring the area. Amazing place to just walk, jog or run. Also biking is great. Just watch where you ride and stay safe. Bird watching can be great bring your binoculars.

Wonderful and important site along the Bay for our wetlands and shorebirds.

Awesome Kayaking spot. Underutilized for kayaking according to one of the rangers we talked to. The launch is kayak (small craft) friendly. We saw a dead whale beached on the rocks once you get out into the Bay which was sad but also interesting to see up close. Make sure to check the tides before going. Low tides mean a lot of mud and not a lot of water.

Oh how it is to still be able to walk around without the sound of cars zipping by. I'm glad we still have some Marsh wetlands left in this modernized version of Hayward. It's a whole different city then the one I grew up in. The landscape has certainly changed in this area but this is still one of the nicest places to go. I would suggest wearing insect repellent or skin tight clothes or under armor if your one of those ppl that gets bit a lot. I've gotten bit almost every time I came here. Great place to clear ur mind.

There are new restored walking, biking paths on the old Oliver Salt factory grounds just Southeast of the San Mateo bridge that has been transformed into bayfront wetlands filled with wildlife.

Good quiet place. Go there early would be able see a lot of sea birds. Old salt farm in it is cool to see

One of my favorite running trails. About 4.4 miles loop from the 1st parking lot.
