Awesome shop! I don’t live in the area but they were able to disassemble and ship a bike to my local shop.
I didn’t gain an appreciation for their ability to do this until I tried to buy another bike from some other out of town shops a couple years later and couldn’t find any shop that could do the same thing. So they were really great to work with! Highly recommended!

Brought my bike in for a tire replacement and got a great rec for best tires that weren't too pricey plus a tube wrap to prevent future punctures. And they threw in a little check up and tune up. I had an issue with my quick release falling off the next day and when I brought it back in they fixed it for free and gave me a new brake cable! A fantastic neighborhood shop with friendly folks who know their bikes and won't upsell you on unnecessary things.

We were greeted upon entering the store and the Salesman took great pride in telling us all about BMX Bikes and accessories. The other sales people also engaged as they walked by...so far the Bike for my teenage son was exactly what he wanted and no complaints. I would continue to patronize this business in the future! Would recommend for anyone not sure where to start! This was our first major BIKE purchase...

Finally found my go to bike shop. Very fair prices and honest service. Staff is very knowledgeable and were able to quickly assess the problem and give me a reasonable quote. They were a bit busy the afternoon I brought it in but I was able to pick up my bike the next morning. Grateful to have found my spot.

I bought a Giant E-bike from Hank and Frank and I have loved both the bike and the service I've gotten since. I ride by the shop on the way to and from work and often pop in to have them fix something for me (for example, I kept knocking off the fenders until I got used to them). I've had my bike for a year and have upgraded components over time. Each time, the guys/gal at the shop have helped me make good choices including pedals and saddle. I highly recommend this shop.

The folks at H&F have supported me and my bikes for several years. They're incredibly helpful, especially with small fixes. They often are able to provide advice over the phone to questions I've had which no other shop in the east bay could answer. These people are knowledgeable and very connected with the east bay bike scene. Check them out.

Had a rear derailleur cable sever inside the shifter mid ride. Stopped by here, Tony somehow pulled the remainder out of the shifter in time to finish the ride. Awesome work - these guys are passionate about cycling and know their stuff.

I walked in as a novice, totally ready for the up-sell and the pushy bike snob workers. I was actually caught off guard as we had a very informative conversation. They asked about my commute how often I would be riding what I was used to. It was great. Within :20 minutes we had narrowed it down to 3 bikes, 2 they had recommended and 1 I wanted to try. After tuning them up I took each bike for a spin around the block and was pleasantly surprised that their recommendations were not only spot on, but exactly what I should have been looking for!
They actually worked pretty hard to find me the best deal (last years model, floor sale, etc.) and in the end came in under budget.
I got a really sweet bike out of it and I would definitely recommend Hank & Frank Bicycles.

Brought my bike in yesterday due to a rusted chain and messed up brakes. I came here after doing some research and was worried they’d try to nickel and dime for other issues or try to do an entire tune-up that I’m not prioritizing at the moment (I’m looking at you, REI).

Got a call today saying my bike was ready. In and out for $50. I will be returning and I appreciate them not trying to add to the tab when it’s not necessary. Shop local and be rewarded!

I wish I could remember the name of the mechanic that helped me out but he had blond hair. I stopped by to buy a tube & CO2 for my road bike. He went above & beyond by cleaning my chain for me since it had excess build-up. I highly recommend this shop!

I've had a great experience with Hank & Frank's - everyone I've met there has been knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and patient. I bought a bike, some gear, and have taken it in for a safety check. Not to set a precedent, but they called me to pick it up days before they said it might be ready. After a less than amazing bike shop experience elsewhere, Hank & Frank's is a welcome change!

Timely and knowledgeable service and advice. I'm a fairly experienced hom mechanic and used to work in shops, and go to Hank and Frank with newer tech stuff that I've not had the time to learn, or tools to handle myself. Very pleased every time.

Product knowledge and price points are equally important to me followed by solid customer service. It's more than a local bike shop it's a community of people who care.
I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my future bike needs.

Staff were sooooo helpful and friendly. I came in wanting to get a new bike post because I thought my current one didn't fit my seat, but then one of the staff reassured me it would, and kindly installed it for me. They were also super knowledgeable. I'll be definitely becoming back

Always liked these guys because of the large selection of BMX stuff whereas most places have none. Really solid mechanics, too, with a shorter turnaround time than most other local shops — especially in the age of coronavirus.

Hank n Frank is one of the friendliest, least pretentious, awesome bike stores around. I always feel welcome here, and their staff is most knowledgeable. They'll even special.order things when they can.

This place is great!!! Not sure if this is the same location we got our bikes at when we lived close by, regardless of that, I totally agree with what someone else mentioned. BMX bikes here you can find them and are great bikes.

Bought 2 bikes here, the service is awesome and the staff is very knowledgeable. Best part is free tune ups when you buy your bike here.

The folks at Hank and Frank have always been extremely friendly and accommodating. Knowing that I was low income and biking for my commute, they were even able to give me some discounts! Thanks everyone, y'all rock.
