Son of a Jeweler

To anyone reading my review regarding Son of a jeweler, let me start by telling you that I had gone to 3 different jewelry shops, 1 in Fremont and 2 in Newark prior to discovering Son of a jeweler and well I’m glad I did, because they are different than the other 3 shops where I had some terrible/mediocre work done!

What set this shop apart is the quality and customer service that the other 3 shops were and are lacking!!

Upon entering their shop during my first visit I was first approached by Kathy and Lyndsey, very sweet and nice girls by the way, I brought in 3 silver bracelets and this was the first jewelry shop who didn’t refuse to fix my silver jewelry, I was issued a receipt and tag to pick up my jewelry once finished, they did a great job and the price was fair, I returned a few weeks later with gold jewelry because I was happy and pleased with their craftsmanship and Customer Service, they were able to build beautiful gold bezels around my antique gold coins to attach to my bracelet and it is now a charm bracelet, beautiful by the way, they did a great job!

I also had them fix my dog’s gold chain and charm, also brought in a couple of hefty gold bracelets to have safety chains attached to them and they did a good job as well!

I purchased a gold ring with baguette rubies from them and before Christmas they helped me find 2 gold chains for my nieces Christmas presents, that was a life saver by the way!!

They made a beautiful Purple Sapphire with diamonds, Gold and platinum pendant that is exquisite!

But… Here’s the exciting part… They will work with you even when you bring in your own Gold, Platinum, Silver, Diamonds and Precious Stones, you just pay the manufacturing cost/labor and the price is very fair, they offer costume work and they will design jewelry using a Cam Cad whether it being your own design or they will design it for you, they were able to replicate and create rings using a simple photo with a few added tweaks with my own taste and style.

Kathy and I worked through the process making corrections on the CAD images and once completed the results were amazing, impressive and overall gorgeous!

Everybody in the shop is very helpful and polite and down to earth, what I like the most about this jewelry shop is that is run and managed by Women with the exception of the male goldsmiths.

So Tina… Thank you very much for having a beautiful shop filled with great customer service, quality, a great jewelry selection to offer any of your customers with the amazing comparable prices!

So people reading this review you can believe that Son of a jeweler will take care good care of all of your jewelry needs!!!

Highly recommend, especially if looking for fine and unique jewelry! Truly a great family owned and ran business with unbeatable customer service, quality and pricing. They worked with me to build my dream ring. It is absolutely gorgeous and of exceptional quality to say the least. Son of a Jewelers' customer service is unparalleled, and their pricing is very fair - my husband had gone to multiple jewelers before and had not been met with anywhere near this level of customer service or high quality product at a fair price. After 43 years of being literally a part of my finger, I had to have my wedding ring suddenly cut off. It was both physically and psychologically challenging to remove, but the fine folks at Son of a Jeweler were able to remove it safely, clean it, replace the head, and resize it. They did a wonderful job, and my beautiful ring seems even better than new. I am so happy with the ladies, whose friendliness and professionalism made a difficult situation easier to deal with and the end result so exceptional.

I stopped here 1/26/24 to measure my ring size. Even though I did not purchase anything from them, a lady that helped me out was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Thank you so much for your help!! ☺

I cannot recommend this place enough!

I came in with my silver necklace that needed to be repaired. After being quoted an outrageous price elsewhere for such a quick and small fix, I was hesitant to have it fixed.

When I walked into this store, the lady who assisted me was incredibly kind and understanding. Not only did she repair my necklace for free, but she did it with care and attention to detail. I was blown away by her customer service and her refusing to take money for the repair.

This place is AMAZING! Tina and Carrie were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! This is my 2nd time in the store and BOTH times were HOME RUNS!

I had bought a white gold chain previously and wanted to extend the length. They were able to help immediately with different size extensions and walked me through the entire process. Their winning personalities and genuine heart felt compassion for customer service is as good as gold!

This family has been in our family for almost 50 years. The service and quality selection has always set this jewelry store apart from all the others. I have got simple watch batteries to cleaning, and fixing a platinum diamond ring for my mother. They have everything to keep your pieces in to cleaner for them. There is always someone to assist you and with a smile. I would always recommend this place for anything jewelry related.

Been to many jewelry stores and Son of a Jeweler is by far my favorite. Owner and staff go out of their way to help you find or will even design a unique design that fits you or a special someone. Wonderful service! My wife and I purchased all the necessities for our wedding and we couldn’t have done it without Son of a Jeweler. They helped us pick out our wedding rings, gifts for the wedding party, and even my wife’s engagement ring.

They are friendly and always provide great customer service. I've gotten two crosses from them, one silver and one gold. They were able to customize the stones in the necklace for me as well as the chain. I'll be back to help my parents get new wedding bands.
