They have an eclectic collection of books, movies and music DVDs. Apparently, these are donations that didn't make it to the library shelves. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. I actually like this place better than the Pleasant Hill library which has tried to become too many things. If you are a nerdy bibliophile that likes older reading material, try this bookstore.

Fantastic selections. I was told that it’s better to shop online if you want something specific. They have lots of books in storage for purchase. Very reasonable prices, too. If you’re a book lover, you should stop by and have a look!

I’m really happy to have this store nearby. Good selection of books, of course, but also games and puzzles that can make great gifts or treats for kids. They accept book donations, too, helpful for clearing out some older items. And it all benefits the library! What more could I ask for?

I took my Great Granddaughter to buy her some books. She is 5 and just learning to read. We found books and puzzles we now enjoy. It's a pleasant little place with very nice employees and great prices. We will be returning soon.

I love this bookstore! It's where I get most of my books because they have an excellent and expansive selection. They carry new and old books, DVDs, and CDs. You can shop in the store or online. You can ask them to keep an eye out for a book you want and they call you when it arrives! It is a great set-up!

Amazing place.
Cheap books in excellent shape. Customer service is the best thing ever, always with a smile on their faces. Taxes free, because is a non profit organization. Recommended 100%

I upped my original review, as it wasn't truly fair. I judge all used bookstores by this little tiny shop on Court Street in Brooklyn from the mid 1990s. A grumpy bearded dude, multiple books, a dozen cats and full of surprises. I once found a copy of Gustav Stanford's The Short Timers there, for example. The Friends of the Library service was excellent, the book selection was generous and I am an unfair judge. Highly recommended

By some fluke I stumbled upon this great little store while en route to Five Brothers for lunch. The books, CD's and video's are sold for about 20% of the cover or list price, are invariably in great condition and they also have an expanded selection on line. I must admit that between this plague and the dreck on tv I'd rather settle in with a stack of good mysteries...and this store has a good selection. If you're in the area stop by, the friendly staff are always willing to help and make suggestions.

I'm so happy to have a bookstore so close to me, plus it benefits the library. They have a good variety of books. There are also games, jigsaw puzzles(!), DVDs and CDs. Since the items are used, you never know what you'll find. So visit often! It's well ventilated (lots of open windows) and people are masked.

A well stocked and curated used book store. Staff is totally volunteer. And all profits go to the Pleasant Hill Library.
