The Cobra Experience - Museum & Event Space

If you are a Carroll Shelby fan, you really need to stop by. Very well curated museum with plenty of roving docents to answer any and all questions you may have. From the humble beginnings of the AC Ace to the world beating GT40’s, this pace has it all. Well, almost all, I was hoping they’d have a 289 FIA, with the “suitcase” trunk but considering how rare they are, not surprised they didn’t. I was fortunate enough to see one down in Pebble Beach years ago. Overall a great visit, very friendly people and some awesome cars.

Absolutely go! If you are debating please don't. It is absolutely incredible what they have been able to collect. The layout is great, if it's just you it feels huge, if there is a large group of people you don't feel smothered or cramped. There are tons of little things in the displays, some I personally didn't know existed with the name. The notes and books are absolutely incredible to see in tact. Please don't doubt it, GO! Have fun. They have a neat coffee and kids day, and quite a few events for big or small groups.
The staff of the museum is absolutely on point. They answered questions very politely, even if they seemed dumb, definitely ask, they are not. Everyone was kind and really seemed like they enjoyed being there. The giftshop gal was very courteous and was a blast to meet, and the prices are honestly great, so that souvenir is not off the list. There really aren't any complaints, even the bathrooms were spotless. Some of the lights can be a little spotlight dramatic, just move a foot 😁 I live a state away and am already planning my next trip with more friends and family. If you can please donate as The Carroll Shelby Foundation does amazing things, yes they are real. Enjoy your visit it is worth it!!!!!!

We learned so much Mustang history from the Docents! The whole staff is courteous, friendly and fun. This is one of the best tours ever! Please see the website for dates/times and come early! (Tickets would make a great gift!!!)

Oh my gasket! What a wonderful museum. The cars, the garage workshop equipment, the outfits and publications. A true Cobra fan’s dream. And in addition, they had the wonderful European Train Enthusiasts modular group with their train display. Wow!

Great museum! Outstanding cars on display with Memorabilia everywhere very relaxed Environment. If you are a racing fan this is a must see event.

This place is a mecca for Ford fans. The wife biz had as holiday party here and i was in absolute heaven.

Good collection of cars. Our family enjoyed our visit. Staff are helpful and informative. We will be back.

my daughter took me as a fathers gift always wanted to visit but never got the chance made the trip from manteca it was well worth the trip people are very friendly they even let tho dog in the displays were awsome and the cars also awsomem i will be back

Great place for a work Christmas party! I talked with one of the ladies running the museum and she filled me in on all of the information about the cars. Her dad's cars are there so she had a personal connection. I loved hearing her stories and she made the experience wonderful. Stop someone there and ask them about the cars. It was so much fun.

The breadth is overwhelming. I'm not easily impressed. Today I'm stunned.
