Dr. Busfield is a very courteous and professional physician, he has the ability to convey his assessments in lay person terms so the patience can understand their treatment process, and what to expect during and after the procedure has been administered.

I was referred to Dr. Busfield a couple times different times: hand issue and shoulder trauma. Overall, I felt he inspires confidence. He's a great surgeon, personable human, with a brisk practice. On a personal level, he gave me great advice on my arthritic hand. Additionally, he helped me diagnose a massive rotator cuff tear that required academia's intervention. Instead of blundering ahead when other surgeons may have been "experimental," he was quick to recommend the right specialist for a rare shoulder issue outside of his practice area. I'm really grateful for his insight and guidance, and I'm now on the road to recovery thanks to his recommendation. Thanks, Dr. Busfield!

Dr. Busfield is the best. He has replaced my shoulder, repaired my shattered humerus and repaired an outdated rotator cuff. He is extremely personable and explains everything along the way. His office staff is prompt, efficient and always friendly.

When I went to an appointment at Dr. buzz Fields office. They were prompt with service treated me with dignity and respect and the doctor himself was very knowledgeable and very ordinary and plain way that was easy to understand. Also he was very informative and gave me my options and told me everything that I needed to know about each option as far as recovery time. now I am just waiting to get my surgery on my shoulders I’m just waiting for them to call me and make an appointment but they are probably waiting for approval from Worker’s Comp. which has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I don’t understand how people try to get over on the Worker’s Comp. system when they don’t pay even Pay you a decent check so you can live your life while the process happens at $580 every two weeks is a travesty to our system. I can’t wait to get my surgery on my shoulders and go back to driving truck that way I will be able to live and not exist

I am a 73-year-old Asian woman with RA and osteoarthritis. In addition to hand pain, I am beginning to experience knee, shoulder and hip pain. Based on several visits, I found Dr. Busfield to be extremely bright, honest and respectful. He is also a very good listener who patiently answered all my questions. I highly recommend him as an orthopedic surgeon; and I would definitely return to him should I need future orthopedic care. Whereas I was basically unable to use my right hand before he treated me, I am now almost pain-free and have resumed swimming, gardening and cooking!

Although I cannot personally comment on his surgical skills because he did not perform surgery on me, I would trust Dr. Busfield to perform any future surgical procedure he recommends for me. He is a highly trained surgeon with experience in sports medicine; his educational background (a MS, Physiology and Biophysics, with Distinction from Georgetown University Graduate School--in addition to his other degrees and publications) is impressive; and he and his office staff are caring and courteous.

I went to see Dr. Busfield for a second opinion after injuring my right wrist--and tearing a ligament on my right thumb--while kayaking. He graciously saw me on short notice--three days before I was scheduled for surgery by another surgeon I had consulted. Because he determined that my first doctor had misdiagnosed my underlying issue, Dr. Busfield devised an alternative treatment plan that prevented the need for immediate surgery: He injected cortisone in my right hand, which eliminated the pain in that hand and made it functional again; he gave me a hand splint; and he referred me to physical therapy.

As I stated earlier, I highly recommend Dr. Busfield, who is the kind of doctor who thoroughly analyzes a patient's needs and considers the larger picture: By focusing beyond x-ray findings, he saved me from having an unnecessary surgical procedure; and he referred me for further evaluation by a hand specialist, who confirmed Dr. Busfield's assessment that I do not yet need hand surgery.

Dr Busfield was very thorough and explained the treatment plan in a very clear manner. The front office staff was also excellent in my process as a new patient.

Dr. Busfield talks very fast, so listen carefully! That being said, he provided me with excellent care, and performed a successful labrum and bicep repair surgery for me. Recovery was quick and much easier than I expected. He was always respectful and kind, contrary to the reviews I read before going for my consultation, he treated my injury with compassion, and never brought my weight (I am heavyset) into the conversation.

Excellent care from pre-op to post-op follow up. Entire staff is friendly and accommodating. Truly a caring and
on-hands approach when providing great care, whether you need surgery, or alternate methods of orthopedic treatment.

I've been injured for 6 months, from on the job and no doctor(s) have provided proper medical service accept Dr. Benjamin Busfield. It's really embarrassing for men and women that have an MD and a Dr. attached to their name and they act like they can walk on water. Dr. Busfield has the humility and skills of a professional and he remembers his "Hippocratic Oath" when he services his patients. Thank you Doctor Benjamin Busfield.

My RC surgery went flawlessly! I couldn't ask for a better experience. My scars are basically invisible and my function is better than it has been in years. I had the surgery in early 2019 but am writing this now since there has been plenty of time for things to go wrong. I work out 3 to 5 days per week and have had no issues over the last year or so (it took about a year for me to gain full confidence in the repair). I would recommend Dr. Busfield to anyone in need of any ortho procedure.
