Newhall Community Park

It was just an absolute flawless Sunday afternoon. So much so that I played a little jazz for the sparrows and the puppies 🐶 I felt such an inspired energy there outside . But the best part of the day was that I never realized there is a babbling brook there. Simply wonderful!!

After lot of training we got a sunny day on this amazing park. My son was driving a speed control car. This place is perfect for that. Lot of space and different grounds. And my little one enjoy chasing ducks... there are lots of them.

I love this park! So many fond memories here. A lot of things to do and just always a great time. Clean park, friendly people, good neighborhood.

This is a beautiful park. Soccer fields are full of kids, water features with Duck families and Canadian Goose families. Wonderful dog park with great dogs and their people. All grass. Huge. Separate park for small dogs. Park is HUGE! Bocci ball, runners, walkers, trails, hills... I have not explored anything past the dog park.

I really like this dog park and trail where people can walk to the top of the hill and see all of concord. there's also a pond, actually 2 of them with geese, ducks and other animals in it that you can feed bread. There's also a soccer park where people play and practice. my dog always gets excited when we get close to the park.

And we also enjoy walking through the park to visit the Ducks and Gooses at the pond...

Great place to bring kids and dogs. Has a decent sized dog park and plenty of walking space for everyone to get their exercise in. My daughter specifically loves the bird sanctuary there!

Beautiful park. Well-groomed and maintain. Wonderful is from the Vietnam war memorial. The lake birds birds of different varieties. Play stations for kids. Bocce ball courts and dog park. Easy hiking trails.

Came here to meet friends to go to Concord pavilion together. This is a huge park with plenty of parking. Large playground with multiple structures. Great place to run or play with your dog also (all dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after)

I love to walk here! They have great trails, flat or hilly, you choose. I have started bringing a packed lunch for my post walk cool down.

Both the sides. I came here for my son who participated in a x country race event yesterday. The park looks so beautiful from all the sides. It has enough parking available however during the event, even the street parking (no parking zones too) were full.

It has a play structure, a lot of trees, nice creek )no water these days). I wish there it had rained which would have increased its beauty multiple times.

I love this place!! Amazing view of My Diablo, dog park for small dogs and a separate one for big dogs. Plenty of walking area.

Great place to walk, run, play, dog walk, kids playground, and just relax

A great place to get in some exercise and/or enjoy your favorite activities. My grandchildren live in South Carolina so didn’t really checkout the playground. However, it looked really cool from a distance. Newhall Park is worth checking out.

This is a fabulous park with lots of open area for any number of activities. I especially enjoy climbing the hill to the monument that sits high above the dog park. The geese and ducks add an additional attraction to the outdoor experience. It has easy access to a myriad of neighborhoods and is seldom overcrowded. The trails are great for running.

We enjoy walking in the lark.. there's a pretty lake, beautiful view of Mt. Diablo, picnic tables, soccer fields and a children's playground.

This park is one of the best Parks in the Concord, Calif. area. It has two ponds with ducks and geese. There are some fish and fishing is aloud. There are two very large areas for soccer, football, baseball fields and any other field sports you want to play. I believe you do have to contact the parks department to have an organized sports that needs a large amount of area to be played.( soccer, football, baseball, etc.). Newhall has an excellent dog park that is separated for large dogs (30 lbs. & Over) and small dogs under 30 lbs. The dog park has grass and is well maintained. It is closed on Wednesday's for maintenance. They close the dog park when it rains and becomes to wet. The dog park will be closing for yearly maintenance March 26 until April 23 (I believe that these dates are right). Check with the park department or visit Newhall Park they have signs telling you the dates. There is a hill in the park and on top of that hill is the Vet Nam memorial with the names those who gave their all for others in the service of our country. You might not agree with those who gave their all for someone else, but please respect them for the people they were.

Great for any type of activity...walking, running, soccer, kid friendly with fun kid park. Great double large dog park. Beautiful trees, running creeks and lots of parking.

Great place to take the kids.. We enjoyed walking around the ponds and trails.
