MJ's Downtown Cafe

Amazingly good coffee, the best I've had in a long time. The menu is a bit pricey, but the portions made up for it. I had 3 eggs, 6-7 pieces of bacon, hash browns and toast. Service was prompt, once you get seated - and there will be a line during breakfast/lunch, especially on Sunday. Bakery items looked fattening, especially the cakes. I would call this the best breakfast in Brentwood.

Excellent food and service, albeit a bit of a wait. Was well worth it.
If you’re looking for a quick in/ out meal, Sunday mornings may not be the best time to go.

We have never had a bad meal here, and service is fast once seated. Go early because u will have a wait, but it's totally worth it. The bakery items are YUMMY 😋

I had the ‘Grill Polenta & Eggs 🥚.
Every bite was extraordinary delicious 😋. By the time I realized that I wanted to take a photo, my plate was almost cleaned. Egg over medium was yummy, but when I got to the picked red bell pepper 🫑 I couldn’t out my fork 🍴 down. Every bite was an explosion 💥 of flavor.

Yes I did say… EVERY BITE EXPLODED IN MY MOUTH LIKE IT WAS A PARTY 🎊 FROM 1999!!!

Great food! Love their cakes and desserts! I always buy my wife's birthday cake from MJ's.
Humming birthday cake is our favorite, and their chicken apple walnut salad is killer!!

This place never disappoints The food is well proportioned and very good quality..... My one complaint is the lighting kinda has a wearhouse look.. it tends to wash out the natural colors....

The portions are awesome, you can easily share a meal. We each had biscuits n gravy, and had to share the banana pecan pancakes!

Very delicious breakfast. They know how to do the omllette well. I got richie richie. The french toast on the side was great. The service was nice despite being busy.
I consider it a fancy breakfast, little bit expensive.

They were closing when we arrived but the staff was very nice and let us in. The chef didn't rush us and was really good about making the order.

Wow. We're traveling and this has been the best breakfast yet. I got the huevos rancheros and the corn tortillas were so fresh and flavorful! Two of my kids got pancakes, and they were made with some recipe that I tasted years ago and hadn't realized I missed it until I stole a bite. Yum!! My husband got the biscuits and gravy - " not awesome, but good."

But the best was our waitress, Cassie. She was just fantastic.

We come here for lunch or breakfast and never got disappointed! Great food and service!

A home time diner with great food and a friendly atmosphere. The bakery items looked so good but I was so satisfied from breakfast, I couldn’t look at food.

We ordered a cake for my Dad's 75th birthday! There was a small misunderstanding on the timing, so the owner came in after hours to complete the cake herself and then hand delivered it to our house. I was super impressed and grateful! And the cake was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back. THANK YOU!

Been there twice, since receiving a friend's recommendation. I have had two great breakfast experiences. Last one, we had so much great food, we had to bring some home. Do yourself a favor... let them cook breakfast. Your taste buds and dishes at home, will thank you!

This is my go to breakfast spot in Brentwood. Huge servings and also great desserts as well. It gets pretty busy especially on Sundays after church, but well worth the wait time.

One of our local business of choice for breakfast. Food is good so be prepared to wait to be seated. The place is usually busy at breakfast time during the weekend.

Our first time at MJ‘s the atmosphere was nice and friendly. The breakfastwas delicious. The Mimosa was good and the bakery goods look delicious.🥐
