I recently had a delightful dining experience with a friend of mine. We opted for the porterhouse steak, cooked medium rare, and accompanied by baked potatoes. The steaks were prepared to perfection, reaching our table just as we had requested.

Our meal was augmented by similar side dishes - a vibrant salad tossed with blue cheese, hot, fluffy baked potatoes, freshly baked sourdough bread, and a side of beans. For beverages, we had clear, refreshing glasses of water along with a robust and flavorful Kunde Cabernet wine.

The food was indisputably mouth-watering, and the top-notch service further enhanced our dining experience. The ambience of the place was warm and inviting, contributing to a memorable meal. Given all these positive factors, I am certain that I will be dining here again!

Expensive, but large portions and well seasoned food! Pictured are the kids Cheeseburger and the steak and scampi. The salad is bottomless, the bread and butter has a delicious, unique flavor and the ambience is cozy and immersive.

Food was tasty .. they also have happy hour menu if u sit at the saloon (bar).. meals come with endless salad and bread..

I’ve been here a few times now and it never disappoints! Steaks are always cooked perfectly, sides are wonderful. Staff is always friendly and quick. It is a bit expensive but worth it in my opinion.

The restaurant was packed! It was going to be an hour wait, so we put in our names and waited to see if we could get a table in the bar. We did! I had the grilled salmon, and my husband had the sirloin. We did indulge in the artichoke cheese dip for an appetizer, never disappoints! It's full of cheese. How can it not be delish? Service was a bit slow, but like I said, it was packed! Our server had s great attitude despite being slammed! Food came relatively fast and was yummy! Overall a great experience. I would recommend reservations. Long gone are the days we used to just walk in....enjoy!

Great place lost to eat little on the pricey side but best staff every. And they kinda go above and beyond expectations when helping you during the dining experience. Over all I must say my kids wife and I love it here

We ordered the 2 for $75 and got an artichoke dip appetizer, prime rib and rib eye steak dinner, and the cheesecake for dessert. It was well worth the price, and the steak tasted great. It didn't need any steak sauce because it was so juicy.

I've been in California 2 weeks and have ate out every night. This has by far been the best restaurant I've ate at so far. I got the rustler steak. I poured some A1, and some of their other sauce on a side plate to dip, and I never even used it. I didn't want to cover that flavor. It was perfect and melted in my mouth. I'll definitely be stopping here for a meal anytime I'm in the area.

Was great and they bring out a big salad like at olive garden but way better. Staff was very helpful. And I suggest the 2 lb porterhouse. Was a great meal and very filling. Was glad they forgot my order of calimari.

Finally stopped to try this place after passing by it so many times. I absolutely loved my meal! I ordered the new york strip cooked medium, it came with a salad and loaded mash potatoes. Everything had its own amazing flavor and was pleasantly surprised that I didnt need steak sauce. Props to the bartender for making 2 perfect lemon drops!
His steak and shrimp scampi was still tasty and booming with flavor the next day.

Loved out dinner and our server. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, their sourdough bread was warm, their salads are plentiful. Great service and food! My son enjoyed the atmosphere. Going back for sure.

Came in late and wore out from the road. We were greeted by the bartender, who was very understanding and had excellent suggestions for me and my partner. It was a delicious experience, but a little pricey. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something awesome and American. It doesn’t get much better than this!

We had a date nite here and an awesome dinner in their large cool country looking bar! Food was great! Gotta have the steaks of course👌

This was my first ever visit to Cattlemens. I had wanted to go ever since hearing about it on the hit show "Fresh off the Boat".
We were greeted by friendly hostesses who sat us a booth (our choice) very quickly. There no wait whatsoever.
We were given water and bread/butter immediately, and met our waitress Lauren a few moments later.
My steak entree included a bottomless salad, mashed potatoes, and beans. The beef slab was cooked exactly how I wanted, medium rare. Slightly warm pink center. It came topped with battered and fried onions much like onion rings but smaller. They tasted great in conjunction with the meat.
My soda came in a large mug, I like that. Having to ask for refills every ten minutes is annoying for the customers and employees.
Lauren was prompt with bringing our requested items, the restaurant had a nice cowboy/ranch decor, the other guests were well behaved and enjoying themselves and their food.

I will be back!

Prime Rib and Loaded Mash Potatoes is one of my favorite dishes.

We had a great meal. All 3 of us had the 10 oz. sirloin. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We started with the mozzarella moons and potato skins. Again, both very good. Staff was friendly and service was great. I'll definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. Also note that one side of the restaurant is reservation encouraged. The bar side is fcfs but had a good amount of seating. We arrived right at 4 when they opened and there was already a crowd.

Always good steaks! The lobster tail eas surprisingly good! I was expecting it to be all hard ans chewy from being frozen, but not, it was fresh, and perfectly cooked!!! Bring the kids and friends here a couple times a month after they get off work at Purpose Built in Livermore to get out steaks on!!! Always a good time!!!

Oh. And if you need a togo box, ask for a bunch of the small boxes!!! The big ones the dang lids wont stsy on!!!! Pain.... Lol they already know...

My son wants to come here for his birthday every year. Britney was awesome!
It's kinda pricey, and portions are shrinking, but it's once a year for his special day

Didn't feel like a really big dinner, was pleased to see the steak Cesar Salad, added the Brussel sprouts and a 25oz beer. Awesome!

Ok, I for one tend to be more of a “realist”. And right out of the gate, GQ public simply can’t wait to drag someone….ANYONE down! Like they actually have something to gain by doing that. Well, having visited Cattlemans Livermore more times than I’m willing to count, all I can honestly say is they’re pretty darn consistent! Yes, on occasion we’ve sent the steak back to be prepared more to our liking……or they picked a tough one, like they could possibly know….but where can you get a multi course steak dinner for this price people???? Applebees???? Chili’s???? Denny’s???? Ruths Chris??? Harris Ranch??? Really???? So, considering a resturant that seats 350+ people, and seems to be CONSTANTLY packed……an occasional mishap is to be TOTALLY expected, and not something to indicate the end of humanity as we know it….!
