I've gone to this facility many times over the years and staff has always been cordial, professional as well as treat everyone well. From the ER staff to everyone else, this provider is one of a kind. I also was born here ;)

My Wife had to go to the ER then was admitted. The entire hospital was super nice, and professional. From the security people to all the nurses, and doctors.

I walked right into the door, was directed to admissions immediately, and then a triage nurse. Then I sat in the waiting room for maybe 10 minutes, and I was already being called back to my room to get things started. Even though I was in a lot of pain, I started joking with my nurse (to help get my mind off the pain) and started joking right back. She helped make the whole ordeal much more tolerable. She even took her time to look for an IV vein because I have small, squiggly ones, especially when dehydrated. She got it in one shot. She is awesome and pretty pregnant. But great job. Oh, my ER Dr. was really good and thorough also. They had me taken care of and discharged within 4 hours. Fast.

Spent 7 hours waiting to get into a room and in-between tests I got to observe the non-stop overwhelming work our medical staff go through. In an environment that possess a health hazard to them and their families when they go home, not to mention staff and patients are in what is supposed to be a sterile or at least clean medical facility and it's filthy I got to come home but our medical staff spends most of their time working under chaos and filth. I totally gained a new perspective and respect for ER staff and appreciated all they do day in day out. I can only hope it gets better for them all. Will I return not if I can avoid it.

The below are whiners. Absolutely phenomenal service. They brought my high blood pressure down from stage 2 hypertension to a normal level.

The staff are extremely caring and professional. Be kind to them and they will be kind back.

If you rate this hospital weighing with one start because you had to wait to get service (which is based off severity) you need to re-evaluate life!

Unfortunately I've had to take my wife to the emergency room twice in the last two weeks. Both visits turned into multi day stays with many procedures. The staff all-round are top notch professionals who are genuinely concerned for your loved ones.

I've been in the cardiovascular building at John Muir many times for different reasons, most recently, last night (Saturday). On the way into the building there are face masks and hand sanitizer. Inside, my husband and I stopped in the lobby to look at the prettily decorated Christmas tree and other decorations. The main front desk was empty but we were able to find a directional guide near the elevator and figure out which floor we needed.

The second floor is home to the progressive care unit - where a patient may be moved after ER, but before a surgery. There is a large waiting room with a TV and many chairs, so your family and friends can come see you but not all crowd your private room at once. Outside of that waiting room is a front desk where I found two friendly girls sitting - happy to direct me to the room I was looking for.

Many of the private rooms are very spacious - the one I saw last night had 6 people comfortable sitting in it - and only one patient. He had a private bathroom and it was set up very nicely. It's nice to know that your loved one is really being cared for. Outside of this patient's room there was another desk with three other staff people working and checking on patients. Everything was very clean (duh, it's a hospital).

I really have only had good experiences here when talking with staff and patients. The cardiovascular unit is really nice - hopefully you won't ever have to visit someone being treated in there, but if you do, I'd trust that they are in good hands.

Went to ER with severe abdominal pain. I was seen right away had testing done was seen by Dr. Kroll who was very thorough she 🌟listened🌟to me and answered all my questions. My husband was impressed that we were in and out fast, only there for a couple of ours. Great job to all from receptionist, EKG tech, to nurses to the MD. Thank you all for the great services.

I had an ablation done on July 2, 2021. I cannot say enough about my Dr. Carlton Nibley & the entire medical staff at John Muir Health Center. Medical staff who were assigned to care for me were outstanding, professional, tentative, caring & upbeat, quick to respond to my needs. Thank you everyone, you’re the best💕

I went there for abdominal pain, ( level 9) the staff was exceptional, professional etc. Emergency Dr came in and introduced himself, very thoughtful, explained everything in great detail ect. Test were ordered in a timely manner, gave me pain meds asap. I was very pleased with the excellent care I received here as well as the great news that I was going to survive, it was just good feeling all the way along. Thumbs up to a great staff😊😊

Drove myself to ER believing that my left side pain was caused by kidney stones. Arrived at ER (clean), the security guard, registrant, the nurse and the rest of the staff that took care of me was excellent. I read all the reviews but it did not stop me from coming to this ER. Thank You.

My daughter was frequently admitted to this hospital since last year. She was treated with respect and kind caring every admissions. Although, there are few HBS ( hospitalist) or ER doctors not caring, most of time, doctors were very understanding of my daughter's condition( with rare disease). Just recent visit to ER, my daughter was offered pain med no other doctors ever offered to relief her abdominal pain. There are no other pain med( morphine , Dilaudid) will relieve this pain. Stanford hospital refused to give her. Dr Seng and Dr Zu were angels who saved my daughter's severe abdominal pain. They did not think about addiction at this time but only to relief her pain which Stanford hospital always refused to do. Dr Seng, hospitalist, was excellent doctor though did not know how to treat her rare disease ,did not ignore her bowel pain and other physical problems ( Stanford hospital completely ignored everything her physical complaints and pain). Coordinators, case managers, and nurses all were excellent with patient care.

Prices are insane but that’s more of a systemic problem, not a John Muir one. The doctors and nurses here are amazing. The ER is not somewhere you want to end up, but if you do - you’re in good hands here.

I guess it's a hospital so either your experience was terrible or great. In mine it was great, people were friendly and guided me to where I needed to go. The place looked clean.

if you pay your copay in the er they will not send it to the billing company so you end up with a ding on your credit report. dont pay your copay in er wait for the bill to come. their billing sucks big time and they will not help if you call them.
