The service was wonderful - friendly & excitedly told us about the menu options when we mentioned it was our first time in.

The dining room was clean & spacious with beautiful tables.

The food was *PHENOMENAL*. All sides are house made & the meats are slow cooked for 14 hours making it juicy and tender. The brisket sandwiches had a big portion of meat on them - fall apart meat with a deliciously seasoned edge & the brioche bun was lightly toasted on one side to give it a satisfying crunch.

While we stopped this time as we made our way up the hill, we will happily make the drive up from Sacramento specifically to have lunch/ dinner at Hog Wild again (possibly with our pup in tow as they also have a covered outdoor dining area).

Ribs were cooked just right, brisket was tender and leftovers in the morning came out great. Initially ordered for to go but ended up eating inside. Staff was welcoming even thought closing within 40 min.

Wow! Amazing BBQ. Tastes as good if not better than the BBQ I had growing up in Alabama. The pulled pork was so tender and delicious. The roll was even homemade! Service was phenomenal. Reminded me of pre-pandemic dining experience all around. Thank you for a wonderful memory and experience!

This was our first time here. The food was excellent and the staff was great. We just got here to beat the crowd, so there was not much wait time. Hardy portions, so come hungry!!! The brisket was tender, green beans flavorful. Can't wait to try everything else.

My favorite bbq spot in NorCal. You’re here for their baby back ribs, brisket, and hot links, all of which are excellent. The owner is super nice, the food is great, the beer is cold, what more could you want?

We went here for the first time yesterday, and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The restaurant was clean, the tables were gorgeous, the staff were extremely nice, and the food was amazing. We will happily be coming back to try more menu items.

I can't believe I have been driving by this gastromical delight for over 20 years and never stopped! BBQ! Who doesn't like BBQ? 1st class customer service, from ordering to leaving! The ribs and brisket were mouth watering 😋! We will definitely return for more!

Great BBQ spot to visit on the way back from the slopes. Got a brisket sando and it was good. Good texture too. You need to be able to bite through the meat of the sandwich each time you take a bite, and this was perfect in that regard. The brisket fat cap was still present on the slices of meat, so you can easily remove it if you don't want it, or leave it on. Good BBQ sauces; I tried the regular and spicy. I liked the kick off the spicy and the flavor of the regular, so I added both to the sandwich. Good mac and cheese too, which was my side. A good place with friendly staff.

First time trying this place out. Let me tell you that the food was delicious. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in town. Wish you were in L.A. so I can be there every Sunday, lol.

Great service, outdoor seating for your dogs. We did the sampler plate. Everything was soooo delicious! They had 3-4 different sauces for us to try. $60 for the 3 meat and 3 side plate, made for 2 but I think 4 could split it!

It's one of the best BBQ places around. I stop by here every time I go through Placerville. The Angry Pit Master is my favorite sandwich. You better bring your appetite and napkins. All of the sides are great. My two favorites are the green beans and sweet-n-tart Cole slaw.

This roadhouse style BBQ joint offers walk up counter ordering service, has friendly and helpful staff, excellent food options that are well prepared and delicious. A full selection of beers is available that can be enjoyed both at indoor and outdoor seating. The meat selections are fresh, well prepared, smoked on site. The cornbread here is also great, and the honey butter they give you with it definitely worth writing home about. We give it a 10/10 recommendation. We will be back next time we are in the area🤌

Hog Wild BBQ was what you'd expect with a BBQ meal. The food was delicious, big portions, flavourful. You order/ pay at the counter when you go in, you get the drinks yourself, seat yourself, and they bring you the food on a tray, each individual order. Service was good. Atmosphere was great for your traditional BBQ.

We had Hog Wild cater our wedding reception in October and couldn’t have been happier! We visited Hog Wild to do some tastings prior to the wedding and were surprised that we were served a full spread with all the fixins. That really helped us to narrow down our choices. At the reception we had a beautiful charcuterie board appetizer along with two hot appetizers all of which were delicious. For dinner, we went with chicken, pulled pork and brisket, which were all tasty, but dang I could eat that brisket every day! And the Mac and cheese is to die for. Thank goodness we had some leftovers ;) Mary and her crew were phenomenal. They took care of everything and I didn’t have to lift a finger. They were friendly and professional and cleaned up thoroughly after the event. Highly recommend!!

Great little shop. Owner was Fantastic. He gave us info on what was more bang for our buck. 10 of us and we couldn't finish the food. Pork robs Brisket Pulled Pork Mashed potatoes and gravy potatoe salad macaroni salad biscuits and corn bread. Clean restrooms Clean restaurant. Everything tastes Fantastic. We will be stopping by when we are out that way again.

If you’re looking for quality food, this place is worth the drive. They never disappoint, the meats and sides are always top notch. The service is great too, the owner (I think) always makes sure you’re good. Pretty refreshing to have someone front and center that takes pride in their work.

From the friendly greeting to the outstanding food, this was a long overdue stop at this roadside BBQ. Generous portions at a fair price, fresh and delicious meats and sides, and a comfortable, clean dining room. I should've tried this place years ago, and I'm gonna try to make up for lost time. Best BBQ I've had in years.

I hadn't been here since before COVID, but my buddy from ATL was out and wanted some BBQ. We got the 2-person family meal, and everything was great. We had brisket, ribs, hot links, mashed potatoes, Mac cheese, cornbread, and beans. Service was exemplary and both the inside and outside seating was nice. I will be coming back more often now.

The whole experience was awesome. I had never stopped there even though I drive by several times a month. Today I was about to pass by and the smell lured me in. I admitted to never having been there and relied on the recommendation of the person taking my order. (I wish I had asked his name to pat him on the back in this review.) I selected a sampler of three meats and three sides, and every single item was phenomenal- macaroni and cheese to pulled pork, brisket and ribs 😋! It was definitely worth the stop!

We had a variety of items and everything was really good. Liked the brisket. Spare ribs, baby back ribs, hot links, jalapeno sausage. The pulled pork was alittle dry but still pretty good. The rolls, cornbread and macaroni and cheese were all really good. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good but I wasn't expecting white country gravy. The potato salad was just ok it seemed like a boxed product you would get at the grocery store
