I’ve known Franco, the owner for years. This place is always been a Hermosa Beach staple.
It’s a great little store with all the essentials if you don’t want to drive. Some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Good selection of beer and wine. Fresh produce and a fun little deli. Sure the prices are a little higher, but you’re a block from the beach so what do you expect. I love coming here and look forward to coming back.

Boccato's Is a local GEM and a welcome surprise to a new comer to the area! An extensive array of groceries from all around the area! Some super hard to find grocery products! High quality vegetables and fruit and a meat counter that cannot be rivalled in the area!

The deli counter has some of the very best deli meat and bread you can eat! Homemade salads that will knock your britches off! I highly suggest the chicken salad, Every bite is scrumptious! Grab a sandwich and head to the beach!
Most nights they have a featured dinner that is out of this world!

Beach cities locals are so fortunate to have Boccato’s in their backyard. Franco (owner) and his team run a first-class market and deli that is loaded with fresh vegetables, delicious cuts of fresh meat (filet mignon, thick-cut bacon, homemade meatloaf, salmon, a great variety of marinated/seasoned chicken breasts and so much more!), imported Italian pasta and everything from specialty candy and ice cream to craft beer. Love nice wine? Boccato’s carries really, really nice wine: Lokoya, Dominus, etc. Looking for good booze? Boccato’s features a whole wall of high-end tequila, vodka, gin and more. TIP: grab a fruit smoothie and artisan deli sandwich on your way to the beach (ocean is one block away). It’s a one-stop shop with charcoal, firewood, home essentials, sunscreen and nightly dinner specials like chicken enchiladas with rice & beans, salmon with rice & veggies, etc. LOCALS TIP: They’ll let you set up a tab for monthly billing so next time you’re at the beach or on a run, you can swing by, shop & sign! No wallet necessary. All this plus friendly, helpful and personalized service from Franco and his great crew!

Great sandwiches, lots of options for meat and bread, cute authentic location close to the beach. Parking is tough, but it's the beach.

Really nice atmosphere with plenty of locals stopping by throughout the day. Owner and employees are really friendly, making you feel welcomed the entire time. Got a sandwich and it was much bigger than I was expecting lol. Everything tasted fresh and along with the cool breeze of the ocean, I would definitely stop by again given the opportunity. Also if you really want to you can buy an entire jar of pickles to go with your sandwich if that's your thing 😂😂

Paul — they actually have one of best if not the best Breakfast sandwich in the South Bay on the weekends. Seems like you have never been there.

Luke/Adam — not sure what attitude problems you have, but the workers couldn’t be nicer. And the people that run it (Franco & Ellios) always treat everyone with respect.

Stove — you gave a three star and said it was “well organized, but didn’t purchase anything” haha get outta here with that sabotage on a small business.

Best market! Great sandwiches and tamales

By far the best grocery/deli I've ever been too. They have the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. Period. And, if I'm feeling like something hot and spicy, the carnitas sandwich is absolutely incredible. The selection at the deli is really good too. Lots of different types of salad, meats, and seafood options to take home. The selection of candy and snacks is great too if you're not in the mood for a whole sandwich. Service is great, deli is even better. If you're anywhere near here it's a must visit.

Boccato's is the favorite traditional Gourmet Market for the South Bay neigborhood. Customers are like family, before they go home coming from work, Boccato's is their place to stop and grab dinner and Beantween coffee for breakfast :)

Not sure why some reviews are saying the workers here are rude. They're just busy and I see their tip jar is always empty. Maybe show some gratuity. They always greeted me like I'm family...
I moved away from this location but I do miss them.
Sandwiches are really good and the meats and cheeses are as well.

I stop here for a cold pastrami sandwich whenever I happen to be in the area near lunch time. They have the best seasoned pastrami in their deli I've ever run across, complete with a peppered crust. The pastrami is so delicious no need for pastrami dip (go to The Hat for that) or even heating it. I personally believe doing anything to it would be taking away flavor. I recommend the full size 10-12" roll your choice of toppings, they even have horseradish mayo or jalapenos if you're a little more adventurous. They also have a great selection of gourmet snacks.

LOVE Boccato's and Franco! I used to live across the street and shopped there almost daily! The quality of the meat is unheard of. I live over 5 miles away now and still drive there occasionally to shop! LOVE IT!

A wonderful gem in the.midst of the beach life. Down to earth nice people, always remembering us and what we like. They make an awesome salmon dinner with veggies and their meatloaf to take & bake at home is delish! Prices aren't too bad either

I love that this place is so close with a great selection, awesome deli sandwiches and reasonable prices. You'd think for the convenience and the quality you'd be paying a huge markup, but that's not the case.
