I'm shocked by only 2 reviews that are not even good. First, I appreciate the existence of this train station since it has allowed me to come from LA for meetings without worrying about traffic and meet and eat at the restaurants nearby. It's about 30 mins ride from the LA Union Station.

There are many restaurants and shops on Foothill Blvd from Sierra Madre Villa to Rosemead if go outside the station. There are also luxurious apartment buildings next to the station. Pretty much you can live in Pasadena and work in LA or Azusa by taking the train from this station.

The building is 5 stories high with paid parking. Buses are on the first floor. Buses will take you to City of Hope in Duarte, JPL, Temple City and also Lakewood. To get to the station, you'll either have to take the stairs or elevators to the 4th floor. Then cross bridge over 210 freeway to take the train. The place is well secured with the presence of security guard and also police all the time.

With the bus is the way they're running your trains Your trains are wonderful except the gold Line has become a homeless shelter and there is no bathrooms available to the public at all I can't tell you how many times I want to get into an elevator and there be feces or somebody's urinated inside the elevators themselves there should be a public restroom available at such a large stop like the Sierra Madre villa station is

Sarah Madre Villa L-line (formally the Gold Line) Station is like most all of the other stations no facilities so you may see a homeless person peeing in the corner by the elevator this morning when I got on at Azusa downtown station seven people came through the tap to go sensor and did not pay I was the only pain person out of eight of us that got on the train going towards Union Station! Some of the people did not look homeless they were dressed nicely but they just walked on through! The homeless people own the train they ride it back and forth in cold and hot weather sleep on it but their feet on the seats have their seats hanging out in the aisle have their bikes block in the aisle there's very little control by Metro to do anything about it! If I was a woman I would not ride the train by myself! Just think about it if you were homeless warehouse could you find a nice comfortable seat in either a heated car or air conditioned car where you can ride for free back and forth from 4:00 in the morning till midnight!

My car was stolen from the 3rd floor and there are no cameras on the parked cars so the perps were never caught.

One of the dirtiest stations. I love the metro, but I have seen human feces in the elevator. Smell is horrible. Sorry metro but better pride in stations

It wouldn't be so bad, but there's always human feces on the parking lot stairs and that really bugs me

I have to echo all the other reviews. Be warned when considering taking the Sierra Madre station! We arrived on a Saturday morning with the plan to take a leisure ride around the city. We’ve often hopped on South Pasadena metro station or Highland Park station because of the free parking but decided to try out Sierra Madre because it was closest to us. We were no strangers to the LA Metro and I have a TAP card since 2015. I’ve gone to the airport on the (C) Green line and up to City Walk at the end of (B) Red line.
But Sierra Madre station greeted us with a scene out of Walking Dead. The garage was almost completely empty with the fire extinguisher glass shattered across the parking lot floor. The elevator had (human?) feces on the floor. Most other passengers did not appear to be fully mentally present (substance uses?). I’m used to the typical passenger situation but the combination of the derelict atmosphere of the grimy station was enough for us to vow to never return. This needs to change.

Resting place for violent, entitled mentally ill homeless people. They will drink, smoke, and harass you for no reason other than the fact that they are so out of their mind, they have no business living on their own, much less the street. Take the bus if possible.
