Venice - Abbot Kinney Memorial Branch Library

Needing a place to catch up on some daily journaling and needing to upload some things for goggle and other sites so stopped in for a quite upload session.

Great news super friendly staff!

This library is smaller than ones I’m used to being in however they have some amazing things to offer.

There are 15 computers in total throughout the library to use.

There are 11 tables to use
6 tables for adults

5 in the kids area

There is one copier and one printer!

The process of getting a library card would be needing proof of residency with an id.

They have an array of audio books dvds and tech things but the real joy is in the books!

If you need something to help your mind get in a better place go to a library pick up a book sit down and start reading!!!

You will change your life!

I love this library! They have a great interlibrary loan system which allows you to put books on hold, and a wide range of lit if you just want to pursue. I have never had a lousy experience and have been coming for years. Also, last week I got free eclipse glasses and covid antigen tests!

I love this public library. Good books selection and great free Yoga and Pilates classes offering by excellent instructors. Staff very nice and helpful.

Great library with monthly free activities for every age group. They have fast internet, public computers, and very helpful staff. I visit regularly for college work and never had issues and everyone is respectful. Cheers 👍

Nicest, cleanest library I've been too thus far

FYI the library is closed 7/10/23- 8/12/23 for maintenance. Tried to drop off books in the return slots during open hours n wasn’t able to cause they’re locked up.

Staff are helpful in finding items. They have rules and in force them. And as the homeless follows the rules they are welcomed. It is a safe, good place to hang out. They also bring in a band to listen to and have kid activities.

Libraries Rule!!!! In Venice we have to compete for electrical outlets in that the homeless charge their phones all day while watching movies on their phones. Make sure you have enough charge on your computer as u may run out of ‘juice’ if you’re there all day doing research.... try to go early if you can.

Dance with Miss Alice has hosted two children's events at the Venice-Abbot Kinney Library. Danielle is a wonderful children's librarian who is very supportive of the community and great at building events for kids and their families. Highly recommend.

First I was afraid of people o didn’t know living in obscure tends… then I decided to cross the street and meet them. I’ve learned they are just like me, trying to make the best of the human experience and worshiping the Oneness.

Free wi-fi friendly staff not open enough. What more can you ask for. Oh, good air-conditioner and good things for the community.

This library is always pretty busy, but the staff are usually handling it well.
