Came in last Friday morning to grab a few fresh items including sourdough bread, lox, and cream cheese. I was pleased to discover that the bread was not yet sold out so that was a relief. After a short wait in line I placed my order. The lox is weighed out before charged so I stepped aside to admire the pastries while my order was fulfilled. A moment or two later my order was ready and after confirming and paying, I was off. Everything was fresh and the quality outstanding. The bakery is usually much busier at this time so I was lucky to have been in and out in less than 15 minutes. Parking in this neighborhood is always a wildcard but again, I was fortunate enough to find a spot a block away. Next time, I’ll be sure to try one or two of their fresh pastries and something from their eye catching coffee menu.

We absolutely love the atmosphere in this place, it's super cute and I love you aesthetics. They obviously care about their food.

Recently, I decided to try a new breakfast place and enjoy a good meal in the morning. I was amazed by the quality and flavor of the dishes the restaurant offered, however, my experience was marred by the terrible customer service I received.

Let's start with the positive, the variety of breakfast options was impressive. Each dish was a delicious culinary gem. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable. Being a breakfast lover, I was pleased to be able to enjoy such a tasty and satisfying meal.

However, customer service left a lot to be desired. From the moment I entered the restaurant, I noticed a lack of attention and professionalism from the staff. They were slow to greet me, and when they finally served me, it seemed like they were more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. It seemed disrespectful to those of us who had chosen their establishment to enjoy a good meal.

Dining here is truly a treat for the senses. The food is absolutely exceptional, with all the sweets striking the perfect balance—not too sweet. I dislike desserts that overpower with sweetness, as I prefer to savor a range of flavors. The fig tart and bread were nothing short of perfect, delivering a delicious experience that brightened up the world.

The flatbread and baguette are also noteworthy, and the coffee complements everything flawlessly. My friend and I had a wonderful time soaking in the delightful vibes. One thing to note is the wait, which can be pretty long, but it's worth every minute of anticipation!

I’ve been here a couple of times now and each time didn’t disappoint! It definitely gets crowded during peak hours, so something to keep in mind. The outdoor seating is pleasant, the food is high quality, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I suspect I’ll be back again!

The food here is great and they have a wide range of freshly baked goods. The outside area is nice and calm and offers shade even on sunny days.

Since I moved to Venice Ive been coming to Gjusta from time to time and really really enjoying the vibes, and it gives me a slightly European feeling that I love. Amazing patio, food selection. Among things to keep in mind though, is a huuuuge line on weekends so ordering takes a while. And something that I would love to have improved is matcha (since I’m a big lover of it), which is not mixed properly so all the powder stays on the bottom. Doesn’t give the right feeling. But overall, love this place!

Who would have known that behind this simple gray door there would be a delightful, full-service bakery. In fact, Gjusta is more than a bakery. Yes, there is fresh bread and pastries. And, there's more. Deli options. Breakfast menu. Espresso bar. And, to top it off, there's a private patio. We placed our order and found a fantastic patio table. Our order was promptly brought to our table. From then on we thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. It's hard to say whether our meal or the environment was best. Combined, everything was fantastic. While Gjusta may not be a secret, to those who have had the experience, it is more than a bakery. It is worth a try.

Fantastic food, servic and atmosphere! Lots of great options to choose from, both savory and sweet! Staff are very friendly. Atmosphere is pretty cool. Can be a bit of a wait.. about 10-25 mins on a Friday morning! Would highly recommend!

Honestly a great experience. Went on a week day, heard it gets busy on the weekend and I can see why. Across the street from world famous Venice golds gym and a block away from the beach. This is a great spot to start your day!

Went there on 7:20 am on a Saturday. Found it on Google and wasn't aware of the hype. I really enjoyed the food, the staff and the location. It is absolutely worth a visit but beware: It is expensive for a cafe. Maybe normal expensive for LA but an egg sandwich sets you back 13 dollars, small portion of granola 15 dollars. But they live up to the hype. Definitely recommend.

I have been here many times including when it is super busy and the staff are always happy and helpful. It’s a busy place that feels like a well oiled engine.
The food is great especially the baked goods. Venice prices so nothing shocking for the neighbourhood.
Minimal indoor eating space but the courtyard is nice with flexible seating for large and small groups. I like eating inside when I am alone. Kid friendly.
Not sure about parking since I usually walk.

Gjusta is the embodiment of California and Santa Monica living. With tons of options in trms of food, Gjusta is the one stop shop for a great meal, and great vibes. We went here after the beach and it was just the perfect pairing. Make sure you get there early though because they get busy and sell out fast.

Super cool, trendy cafe. We came from Vancouver and noticed that this place is very popular with fellow tourists and locals alike. Huge line even at off times, but they have a cool system where you take a number and wait if you have a larger order, or join the express line for drinks and small eats.

Very nice patio outside as well, I feel it does a great job of fitting into the surrounding industrial area while expressing some flair and refinement. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

Gjusta is a bakery near Venice Beach that's always packed and for good reason. They make all their bread and pastries in house and fresh on a daily basis too. Parking outside can be tough, and getting a table can sometimes be impossible so your best bet is usually to get it to go at the express register. Their chocolate croissants are delicious, and you can't go wrong with the pastrami sandwich or the Italian sandwich. Service here is great too, so friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit high but the quality is fantastic and portion sizes aren't too bad either. Would highly recommend coming here during the week to grab something to eat and sit out in the patio area.

I am so happy I found this place just walking after workout, food was absolutely delicious and healthy, the coffee ☕ just on point and pastries are so good too, I recommend try the baklava croissant.

Great place for brunch. The food is amazing and not heavy. They have a cool outdoor patio with shade to enjoy. You can bring your laptop and work. The atmosphere feels like you are eating in someone backyard. Only the parking sucks.

Bread is the name of the game at this artisanal bakery but truly any farm fresh produce you can imagine you’ll peak behind the counter. We went during weekend brunch so it was busy and it is quite chaotic inside but grab a number and have patience and faith it will be worth it. Definitely recommend browsing the sandwich portion of the menu! We got the salmon burger, brisket bahn mi and tuna conserva which were all divinely delicious unique twists on classics. Nestled in Venice Beach if you find yourself in the neighborhood this establishment is well worth dropping by for whatever you could be craving.

Great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Huge selection of freshly baked bakery products. Pretty crowded most of the time.
