Delightful park in the center of the neighborhood. Metered street parking available around the park. There’s a closed off playground with a double-gate entrance making it extra secure for running toddlers.
A basketball court sits right next to the playground area separated by a fence. There are 2 types of play areas, one more suited for 2-5 year olds and the other 5-12. A fun 4-seater see-saw sits in the shade next to a larger 2-person see-saw. I liked the hideout area where they built a fortress and covered it with plants.
There’s also a section for sand play, and ample chairs and benches near shaded areas of the playground.

Cute little park in a quiet part of Santa Monica. In the northern corner near the intersection of California and Lincoln, there are three wooden chess tables for visitors to use. Pieces are not provided, and one table has a bench removed to allow access for wheelchairs. There are large trees nearby, but the shade does not reach the tables.

Really nice playground with fence. Your kids can definitely explore and have fun here while being safe.

Nice neighborhood park with paths and grass and areas of activity. Theatre on grounds. Nice family activities here. Attended "String Theory" musical pieces with outdoor tree harp percussion and interpretive dance performance. Comfortable, friendly, all ages, kids & dogs

Love the play ground area. The grassy area seems a little dirty with the homeless, but I just go for the kids park. My daughter loves the water play area. She's 9 months old.

I created a shoulder workout using their dip bars that is second to none! I'm sure you agree that a workout's effectiveness is judged by the degree to which we feel it the next morning... and I woke up this morning with every muscle fiber in my shoulders feeling it beautifully! I have a deeper soreness than using any piece of equipment at the gym - all from being creative with some simple metal bars that we all have that we all have access to for free!

A favorite local park for babies and toddlers, the play area at Reed Park has two separate sections; the south end is for under two-year-olds, and the north end has more challenging play equipment for bigger kids. Two good-sized tennis courts see almost constant activity. Clean, well-maintained bathrooms serve the play areas and a recreation center that sees a steady flow of meetings and community activity. A lovely building houses a theater, behind which stand several popular tennis courts. A large green space, recently renovated, now includes the open-air fitness par course equipment which has recently become nearly ubiquitous at parks all over.

Always beautiful. Sadly police seem to be present dealing with some underllife sorta folks ...but...the balls are bouncing in Tenn s and. Basketball courts, kids are happy to be on the playground and the elderly from nearby home get out to see the sunshine and enjoy. ...beautiful as always

Fun park with not only lots of walking n running space but also machines for working out ur whole body. Also had tennis courts basketball courts n lots of slides n kid friendly devices. Great for all ages.

I come to Christine Emerson Reed park when I'm vagabonding in and through Santa Monica, CA. The park features nice accommodations, such as Santa Monica City Ambassadors who monitor the restrooms and help keep them clean, while also offering advice and travel tips to the public.

They have safety ambassadors! Cool..
I feel safe in the area ,especially in the public restroom. They are very clean too.
