From the Receptionist at the Surgery Center to the medical staff they were truly wonderful. This was my first surgery and hospitals make me nervous. I communicated this to nurses and staff that were assigned to me and they were so kind and caring to my feelings and needs. I can't thank UCLA enough!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team in the Emergency Room and X-ray Department for their exceptional care and professionalism. I visited the hospital on Sunday afternoon and was thoroughly impressed by the level of expertise and compassion demonstrated by each and every staff member.

I was extremely happy with my stay at UCLA SantaMonica Medical Center. The staff was extremely attentive and nice . From the valet to the nursing staff and doctors, everyone I in countered couldn’t have been more helpful in my recovery after surgery. Food was great too!

It's hard to decide which LA hospital has the best cafeteria, but Santa Monica medical center is definitely in the top three. I've only been to this hospital three times in my life (non-emergencies), but I always ate in the cafeteria. The last time I was here was in August of 2023, and I enjoyed the food so much that I came back for dinner that night. It's very clean, the staff are very friendly, and the food is great. Much like being at the Ronald Reagan, I thoroughly enjoy listening to the doctors discussing medical jargon from the next table over. Several of my family members are doctors, and some of the things I've picked up from eavesdropping have been used in conversations with them, even though I have no clue what I'm saying. Try the turkey club wrap the next time you're here.

Really deserves 5 stars. Can’t speak for everyone’s experience but while my mom has been admitted into this hospital, they have been very attentive to her and thorough with her special diet. Forever grateful for everyone who puts their heart and soul into their work.

I had a great experience here for a scheduled HoLep procedure that included an overnight stay for observation after a 3 hour surgery with general anesthesia. I had to stay in the recovery area overnight in lieu of a room, but it was fine.

Check-in was a breeze and all personnel from beginning to end were professional and attentive. Special shout out to RNs Loren T. and Dapheny T. who had the day shift and expedited my discharge.

My SO was kept apprised of my progress and notified when she could visit.

It is hard to replicate what has been created here: a hospital where patients are immediately surrounded by a swarm of specialists, over-attentive nurses, the hums and beeps of high tech medical gadgetry, and an impressive view of a clean city by the water's edge. My chief complaint here? That the gourmet burger I ordered was a tad bit too dry. This place is impressive because it has money, that is undeniable. But it rises beyond that -into the realm of the exceptional - because of its culture. The care is genuine.

I love coming to get treatment at UCLA Santa Monica or at the Reagan location. UCL Santa Monica is more laid back compared to reagan. I have excellent nurses as well which is very important because I always come here to get hospitalized for a rare genetic disorder that I have. Here I'm listening to, my input matters, and it shapes my treatment plan here. I'm also able to get alternative forms of medicine here such as reiki, Urban Zen, acupuncture from East-West medicine, and spiritual care which allows me to speak to a chaplain. This is all wonderful me for me because I need as much psychological support as possible especially whenever on hospitalized because my disease is very much triggered by emotional state. This is my second time being hospitalized this location and it's been great. The food is really good. The nurses as well as a Care partners take excellent care of me so I have two nurses that take care of me. And a team of different doctors that I meet with which is about 4 that take care of me as well. I really love this location and plan on coming here in the future whenever I have a tax for my genetic disorder. So personally I highly recommend it

This hospital has exceeded my expectations. My daughter has sickle cell and is 4 years old. She has had her number of stays at hospitals. This one is by far the BEST. She was transferred here from another hospital and I’m glad she was. Lots of nurses and Doctors were involved with her care. They all were very sweet and very patient with her. She had a person strictly dedicated to making her stay here as comfortable as possible. She was very sweet and very hands on. She spoke to her in a way she felt comfortable and enjoyed the conversation. It didn’t feel like the usual desensitized staff we got at other hospitals. Non of the nurses or doctors looked like us but it did not matter because I felt like they loved her still and respected us both very much. Her treatment was beautifully executed from everyone involved. It was organized and the rooms were well stocked. Clean rooms with plenty of things to keep her attention. They have a menu you order food from for the patient. That was cool. I had to pay 7 dollars for my meal but it included an entree with 2 sides a dissertation and drink! That was not a problem. This will be my go to hospital from this point on. Thank you to all the staff and security for the awesome hospitality and for treating me and my baby so well through a time that is always scary and stressful for us.

Everyone is great Here at SM. Nurse Melissa R,Rn It’s awesome she’s there you need her and she’s so kind. I felt like I was treated like a VIP patient. I see people writing about that they have a long wait, but what can you do? It’s a hospital. A lot people coming here are not sick. They just want a free bed.
Thank you, UCLA. Hospital at Santa Monica.

My Sweetheart has been here since Dec 17 in the Orthopedic unit (19 days). We have been with her 24/7. The care from Everyone the Drs, Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, and Housekeeping has been outstanding. I'm older and unfortunately have been with many family members in hospital settings. We will be forever grateful for the compassion and assistance given. Thank all of you. Big hug..... with a mask : )

Hubby has been taking hospital chemo treatments for five months at UCLA Santa Monica. We stay five days every 21 days. This place became home away from home. Everyone from the valet team, the lobby staff, admissions, cafeteria, security, and the AMN oncology floor were top notch - above and beyond our expectations. We were treated like family. Our care was excellent. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making Cancer as pleasurable as possible. We will always have fond thoughts of our interactions with everyone we met.

Professionalism and Courtesy! My wife had a pretty extensive surgery, and from start to finish, we were very happy with our choice on coming from Vegas to get this surgery done. I have to especially thank Dr. Shamie, Dr. Ulloa and their surgery team for making sure all went well. Then the 3 North nurses and staff were very attentive to all our needs, as well as the housekeeping staff making sure that all was clean and sanitized. I can't say enough about UCLA. The Davis family thanks you very much.

I recently had back surgery at your hospital and then spent the next 4 days recuperating there. My surgery was very successful and the hospital staff were excellent. The nurses and care partners were very attentive and responsive to my needs. My requests for assistance were responded to quickly and professionally. I have not been in the hospital previously but have assisted my mother during several hospital stays and found the level of care at UCLA Santa Monica to far exceed anything we have experienced before. Thank you for making my stay as easy as possible. Special thanks to my Saturday nurse who had very helpful information about getting my prescriptions for pain medication filled timely and without problems.
