Brilliant! Came on a rainy Los Angeles day and it was perfect. Great range of galleries and a very impressive gift shop. Parked down the road which had a two hour grace period, so only paid $3!

First time at the Hammer since the pandemic! Came to see the experimental Korean art exhibit and had a late lunch (bites + drinks) at the restaurant in the court yard. Everything was great! Museum was not super crowded even though it is free. Exhibit was very interesting. Bites were savory. A little strange there is only one bathroom for a two floor museum but I'm sure there are more in the non public part of the building. Parking was eight bucks. Worth a trip to the westside!

Free entry. Amazing collection of etches. Some Rembrandt, too. Picasso, Van gogh. Not all the exhibits are open at this time. However, I think sometime in February, they will be fully open. They have a relaxing atrium with bamboo surroundings. I'm looking forward to going back. You have to pay for parking, they have machines. And they have an option for food and drinks as well.

A really beautiful and creative spot in LA. I love the vibes, if you want to take an outfit picture for free, this place is an option! Love the shop too. Highly recommend the place

Wonderful little hidden gem. Exhibits are amazing and it's nice and calm I. Here. Outdoor patio and eating area also very neat. I've lived in LA for so long and never been, would definitely recommend.

Parking with validation is $8
Or you can look around the neighborhood before Wilshire to get parking. There is also the option of taking the bus here too. Admission is free.

Great free art museum through UCLA. We saw the Living in LA exhibit and it was amazing. It was great for individuals (like me) who enjoy contemporary art. Fun gift shop as well

Sooo fun! Came here on a whim and I ended up having a funky good ol’ time!! Love that this museum is free but don’t forget about parking, it’ll be $8 for the first 3 hours and they do not validate.
The museum itself was a great experience with a both friendly and knowledgeable staff who added to the environment! They had a variety of fun, thoughtful and moving exhibits/ pieces but unfortunately the installation I wanted to see was under maintenance.
The museum itself is such a nice open space, I loved it there.

Great museum with free admission. I went to the opening night celebration of the Made In LA 2023 exhibition, was a fun night dancing to the music, free food, and of course art.

Not sure if it’s always this way but the parking was free when we arrived Saturday morning when the museum opened. The exhibits were beautiful and inspiring. It’s not a massive museum but it certainly has variety. It was nice way to spend a couple of hours for free.

I had a great experience going through their collections. There are sometimes live art. The day that I went was the one but it didn’t lessen the overall experience.

A very beautiful (inside) building with many a exhibitions and very good art (classical and contemporary art, perfect combination; congrats to the curators). I really enjoy my time here.

Andrea Bowers exhibition is amazing and I loved to see the Rembrandts and the Sargent at The Armand Hammer Collection exhibition.

Unique exhibits and very involved with the community. Plenty of events including mindful meditation, art talks and artlabs that cost $0 to take part in.
They even have a station for bike maintenance.
Go check it out!

I Visited the Hammer Museum today for Picasso Cut Papers exhibition and honestly I was so impressed! It was the last day of this collection so it was a little busy, (which I didn’t mind) The art pieces were great, staff were super nice and also beautiful place to hang out and relax!
The admission was free which is really nice

I went here in March 2020 (before Covid)
—This museum is in UCLA campus, free admission, have about 4-5 different exhibits going on. Have a cafe and courtyard for you to study or hangout with friends. Cute gift shop.
— I went here for my Art History assignment so it was nice to look at everything in details because I have to write about it later.
—All the exhibition are unique in their own way, reflecting different issues in the society.
—Parking under the basement, although I don’t remember the parking fees, but I would guess it’s not too expansive.

Would love to come back one day!!

Outstanding. Something for all tastes. I didn’t expect to see such a wide variety of art for the free admission. Don’t miss the food at the cafe. Make a reservation for both!

A lovely museum with 100% free admission. Close to the UCLA campus, this is a stop you must make if you’re checking out the UCLA campus. It’s even worth a trip on its own or as a visit to the nearby Annenberg Space for Photography. This museum has many unique pieces of contemporary art that you wouldn’t find anywhere else in the world. Also contains a lot of studying spaces for students, places to relax and chill in the courtyard with unique chairs that act more like tops. Friendly staff and easy to soak up some time enjoying a couple exhibition halls worth of cutting-edge art.

Great collection. Free museum and the day we went free parking in the garage. Van Gogh, Moreau, Sargent, Monet…and some very interesting temporary exhibits.
