Worthy of a hundred stars. The kindness I was shown was immeasurable.
I used her services to put my senior dog Elvis to rest, one of the hardest decision I ever had to make. It was an extra heartbreaking moment, as Elvis had been my husband's dog for 20 years, and my husband had passed away just months before. I knew I was going to be a wreck.
She was so kind and gentle, empathic, and patient. I felt she understood that I was in the depths of grief.
I was surrounded by some of my BFFs who had helped me throughout the painful year, and she fit in as if she was one of us, a friend we already knew.
The process was as smooth and gentle as such a painful moment can be, thanks to her knowledge and care. She explained the process and gave me time to ask questions.
She didn't rush out after, she gave us plenty of time. We made sure Elvis's kitty sisters got to say goodbye, and that we got to have some final moments with him. She wrapped him carefully in blankets in a basket and handled him with love and respect.
His ashes were returned with care as well. I know it takes a special kind of person to do this kind of work and Dr. Au is that special person. I am so grateful for everything. ❤

I highly recommend Dr Au and Tommy of Gold Coast for one of the most difficult and painful decisions you may have to do- to put your baby down.
My girl toy poodle, whom was almost 17 years old, got severe pancreatitis. The vet would not let me take her home since she had organ failure but I insisted, as I read the scariest part for a pet is their last breaths being apart from you or even worse with strangers at a vet office. I promised I would find someone ASAP to put her down at home and put her out of her pain. It was a Sunday night and no one was avail. I called almost everyone I could find on Yelp and most were not avail until Monday night. Luckily Tommy texted me early Monday AM and Dr Au was avail Monday morning.
The booking process was very organized and easy to book online. Dr Au came on time even though I had booked only hours before. She was so compassionate and did not rush me. This was different from one place I called whom said I had "15 min" and the doctor would have to leave. Dr Au must have stayed for like 45 minutes for the whole process. It will be forever etched in my heart and memory. I cannot thank Gold Coast enough for making my baby's last breaths as painless as possible and letting her go in peace. She was on her bed with me and in my arms.
My baby finally arrived home with her box, paw prints and hair. I cry every time I see it but it's really beautiful. I highly recommend Tommy and Dr Au for their compassion and professionalism.

Dr. Au is the kindest, most compassionate veterinarian we could've hoped for. Making the decision to put our precious 17-year old baby, Othello to sleep was the hardest thing to do. Dr. Au took the time to walk us through the process and helped confirm it was the right decision so he wouldn't suffer. She treated him with dignity and respect and put him in a basket with a blanket once he transitioned as if he really were just asleep.

The office administator, Tommy, was very warm and sympathetic when we called. Upon speaking with him on a Saturday morning, he was very understanding and did what he could to adjust Dr. Au's schedule and fit us in, within an hour, so Othello wouldn't have to suffer for two days until Monday morning.

I'll forever be grateful that Othello went to kitty heaven at home where he was comfortable and that he was treated with so much care.

For anyone who has to make the hard decision for their fur baby, know that you will be in great hands with Dr. Au.

After having had a couple of extremely traumatic experiences with euthanasia done at a vet's office, I decided to have my senior cat's end of life care done at home. I truly could not have asked for a better experience than the one Dr. Au provided.

She was kind, compassionate, she loved on my sweet cat and was so gentle throughout the entire process. There was a sense of peace that she brought, and from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank her enough for what she does both for animals and humans. I am so grateful that his last moments were calm and comfortable at home, and filled with care and love.

Our family’s grief was overwhelming in the face of saying goodbye to our beloved black lab of 14 years and we appreciated Dr. Au’s service allowing him a peaceful transition at our home surrounded by family. Dr. Au has a calm demeanor and gentle manner. We found her to be a lovely balance of professionalism and kindness, allowing us the space and time for our private goodbye and knowing when to join in with affirming and supportive words. Upon departing, as she lovingly tucked his feet in the blanket, we knew we had chosen well. We highly recommend Gold Coast Mobile Veterinary Care should your family ever face that most difficult goodbye.

I wanted to share my experience with Tommy and Dr Au.

Obviously seeking someone for this type of care is already difficult and anxiety inducing. Tommy and Dr Au were extremely kind, patient and graceful during this entire experience. Dr Au was able to come out when we needed her to, explained everything in a compassionate manner, and allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our Sabrina. Aftercare was also handled by Tommy and Dr Au and the communication during this entire process was second to none.

If this is something you are or will need to seek in the future, Dr Au and team will be there, to provide thorough, compassionate and human care during that difficult time. Her kindness will not be forgotten. Thank you Dr Au.

So glad the last moments with our 18yo cat was at home and in our arms. It's been a week and we miss her so much, but looking back, we're just really glad Dr. Au was the one to help us through this very traumatic and emotional time. Thank you Dr. Au for being so sensitive, kind, and caring during the loss of our beloved pet.

We are so grateful for Dr. Au.
Each time we had to say goodbye to our babies it was so hard. But knowing that they passed in the comfort of home helped. Dr. Au was so sweet and helpful. When the time comes, having a compassionate vet is so important.

Dr. Au was amazing. She was communicative, gentle, kind, compassionate, patient and professional. From our first phone call speaking with Tommy in her office, to the Venmo request once she had been to our home, everything was smooth and courteous.

Our senior German Shepherd passed peacefully in the comfort of her own bed, surrounded by her family thanks to Dr. Au. We never want to go through this experience but we will never go through it again without the help of Dr. Au and Gold Coast Mobile Veterinary Care.

I hate that I even have to leave this review but for anyone contemplating using Dr. Au, she’s the one you want. Words can’t describe how amazing she was in taking part of one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make with euthanizing our beloved dog. We struggled with knowing when the time was “right” which, you never fully feel there is a right time. However, she made us feel comfortable about it throughout the entire process. The booking process was very smooth. She was on time, so caring, and we weren’t rushed at all. We didn’t want to do it at the vet because our dog always got nervous there and we didn’t want to do it at home because we didn’t want the constant memory if it happening in our home and have young children and she was willing to meet us at a park near where we used to live. I had an appointment scheduled and due to his condition becoming more severe, she was able to accommodate us earlier than our original appointment. Benji, upon meeting her immediately gave her a few licks which he hadn’t done to anyone for a while. We saw a boost of happiness being at the park, we were able to give him ice cream beforehand and he peacefully passed. Although it was hard, I have found comfort in the fact he is no longer suffering and Dr. Au was the one who assisted so gently with the process. I really can’t thank her enough.

Dr. Au was the most compassionate, sweet, gentle soul to our Penny Lane. Having to help my beloved 15 year companion pass gently was the toughest decision I've ever had to make, but Dr. Au and Tommy made the process as easy as possible. I would recommend her to anyone who has to make the same decision. Our beautiful Penny was never scared and didn't feel a thing thanks to Dr. Au's expertise. I am so glad that there are compassionate people like Dr. Au in the world who chose to do such challenging work.

When it came time to say goodbye to our precious Alice, it all happened so quickly. One day she was fine, and the next, she was not. She got progressively worse over the next two weeks, hadn’t eaten since Thursday, and when her normal vet saw her on Saturday, she said Monday would probably be the day to make some hard choices… But Alice woke up Sunday morning, having made the decision for us. You could just see in her eyes that it was time to go.

We were vehemently opposed to making her final moments take place in a hospital, but Sunday morning is the absolute worst time to find an in-home vet. No one works on Sunday. …Except Tommy at Gold Coast. He got back to us right away and was so helpful. Of all the clinics we called, only Gold Coast was willing and able to get a doctor over to us THAT day. And late in the evening, too.

Don’t make the mistake of calling other vets or mobile care to help your pet find a dignified and peaceful end of life — start with Gold Coast. It doesn’t make the decision any easier, but you can trust that Dr. Au and Tommy will take care of you with such compassion and care, you’ll walk away assured you did the right thing by your loved one.

It is ONLY because of Gold Coast that Alice was able to pass peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones. And even though Dr. Au spent less than an hour with her, I would most definitely include her in that group. She was so caring from the moment she arrived, and just wanted to get Alice as comfortable as possible while she prepped. She did a great job of that. Then, when it was time, Dr. Au made sure the end was swift and tranquil. She is such a professional that she knew exactly how and when to step back and let the final goodbyes and petting take place. And then, without words, she stepped back in for the final preparations. Then took our baby with her to receive her aftercare.

In short, Dr. Au and Tommy provided my entire family with the opportunity to say goodbye at home. There’s truly no better gift as a pet owner.

Considering the nature of my appointment for my pet, Dr. Au and Tommy made the experience as painless and free of stress—for me and my dog—that I could have ever hoped for. They were professional yet accommodating and extremely patient and sensitive. Seriously, this team was a blessing to help me and my dog get through this. I will be forever grateful to them.

We had to euthanize our dog and Dr. Jeanine Au came to our home to transition our sweet pup. She was so incredibly compassionate and kind, giving us time to say goodbye and treating him so gently that he never even flinched. She even sent us a sympathy card afterward, which went above and beyond what we expected. Dr. Au is an amazing vet!

I had to have my pet euthanized. I used Gold Coast Mobile Vet. Dr Au has the most gentle, kind manner with me and my dog. She explained everything she did. My pet was calm and not scared. My other pet was allowed to be present

I miss my pet so much but the quiet loving manner of Dr Au made the whole process less traumatizing

I wouldn’t do this any other way

Can't say enough good stuff about Dr. Au. We chose Gold Coast when it was clear our sweet dog would not live much longer, and Dr. Au was so kind and patient and caring with him. She helped turn the worst day ever into a compassionate, heart-felt experience.

I really liked Dr. Jeanine Au who came to send Livi off. She was so caring and made sure I understood every step. Gave us the space and time, yet very present and affirming with her positive energy. My friends who came to see Livi also commented on how great Dr. Au was (they’ve definitely asked for her info already). I also received a beautiful thoughtful card a week later stating that a donation to a rescue was made in honor of Livi. That is so great! Thank you for making this transition meaningful and not as painful.

We've sadly needed Dr. Au's mobile euthanasia services for two pets this summer. Both times she was calm, compassionate, and reassuring to us and our pets throughout the process.

10 stars if I could. Gold Coast and Dr.Au made what could have been the worst day of our lives so beautiful. She helped us transition our Bunny dog and it was one of the most peaceful experiences. I will recommend Dr.Au forever and always. Thank you.
