Planned Parenthood - Tacoma Health Center

My care here for the last 5 years has always been phenomenal. They even were able to provide enough medication to make IUD removal very tolerable. They even offer sedation for this. All the docs I have interacted with are very sweet and caring. They truly are the pros. Go here for your care.

My experience here was amazing front desk staff was very kind and privacy of my appointment wasn’t a concern. I had read over the reviews before going and was a little concerned, but for me it was a great experience the whole staff did an amazing job no one was judgmental but very supportive and up lifting. All my questions and concerns were taken care of, when I needed time they gave it to me. Definitely don’t be alarmed by the other reviews they know what they are doing and do care about you and your experience.

Such a good experience, yall gotta stop reviewing only negative experiences.
I went in for a check up and everyone was so informed, so nice, so genuine. I made an app online, super easy. From the front desk to leaving I felt completely taken care of. Unfortunately I don’t remember their names but all the women were doing their damn jobs RIGHT!!!

Every single staff member I interacted with were so kind, warm, and professional. I am beyond grateful for their compassion during one of the most challenging days of my life. The wait was a little long between each step of my appointment, but I saw everyone there working their a$$es off so it definitely wasn't their fault, I imagine it's due to a funding/ staffing issue. But either way, they made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way and made sure I had zero questions left by the end of it all.

I cannot describe how just amazing of an experience I had. The staff here, from reception to walking out at the end, was truly amazing.
I’ve gone to Planned Parenthood a few times in my life, mostly to the one in downtown Seattle, and have never had a bad experience.
From walking in and checking in with reception to leaving at the end of my appointment, start to finish this team is truly amazing. They took the time to walk me through each step, answer any and all questions that I had, and reassure me during any moments of anxiety.
I wish I could remember everyone’s names that I interacted with, but you all truly are spectacular and absolutely appreciated.

Edit: I went recently and Dr. Mary-Kate is very good. She made sure I was informed on the procedure and told me how it would feel at every step. She made sure to get consent and asked if I was okay during each step too. She's very compassion and nice. She really seems to care about her patients and how they are feeling and their comfort. Overall very great doctor, not a great experience because of the procedure being done, but she made it better.

I am very lucky to meet this clinic. Everyone in this clinic, from the front desk, nurses, doctor's assistants, doctors, everyone is nice and patient. The doctor's assistant who received me is called Rose H. Because of the language, every content that Rose explained to me needs to be translated to me by a translator, which requires more time to receive me. But Rose is still very patient and carefully explained each process and content to me. The assistant debehod (sorry I forgot how to spell her name) was also super good and patiently accompanied me. Everyone is super nice. Thank you very much for the help of this hospital. I hope everyone here goes well and take care of themselves.

I wish I remembered the name of the doctor I saw for my first Pap smear, but she was the sweetest most informative doctor I’ve ever had in my life. I came to
The appointment really nervous and she calmed me down by explaining the ENTIRE process to me, assuring me it was nothing to be scared of. She really went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable in a really uncomfortable situation. I also feel she spent A LOT of time with me to do so. Most doctors I see, it seems like they want to get you in and out as quickly as possible. With her, because she was so patient, I felt like she really cared about me. If I am ever in a situation where I need to go in for something more serious than a pap, shes definitely the doctor I would want to see!

I really just wanted to give a good review about Sarah! When I first got there, it felt like any other doctor's office I have gone to for the first time, (basically just awkward, unfamiliar, and slightly uncomfortable, but that's just normal for me). I was in the waiting room for about 40 minutes, but that didn't bother me at all. When I was finally called back, I met Sarah and I cannot find the right words to express how grateful I am that she was the person that called me back! Her personality was sweet, and the way she talked to me was extremely genuine and I felt completely comfortable. Thank you Sarah!

I think that the staff here are the kindest, most caring, educated women and men that I have been seen by. Always careful with questions, considerate of patients and their situations, knowledgeable with any questions that I might have. This is my third year going here for routine care and I have yet to be disappointed.

Without explaining my story - I absolutely cherish the experience i had with these people. I wish i could remember all their names but i remember each one being so sweet, calling me by my name, making sure i was okay & comfortable - They treated me like a human. I broke down into tears a few times but they calmed me down & also made me feel okay about all of it, it was okay to cry, to be anxious, to worry, all of it. I cannot thank those women enough for how they treated me & others, i cannot thank them enough for the support and the comfort they gave - But i will surely say so & boast about how genuinely sweet and just how absolutely amazing they are

I’ve been to a few planned parenthood locations and this one is by far my favorite. I have to go weekly for hormone injections and the staff is super accommodating and kind. There is an occasional wait but it’s nothing you wouldn’t see at a doctors office. They get things done as fast as possible and are always willing to help. Highly recommend especially for trans people!

I love planned parenthood in general but this one was particularly nice! Everyone who helped me was lovely and I felt extremely comfortable talking to both the physician (Mary Kate) and assistant(Rose I believe). Thanks y’all!

So thankful for the staff at this location. The Saturday hours and online scheduling make it easy to manage my health needs. Bianca at the front desk and Nurse Anthony and the rest of the staff are always happy to help and answer any questions I have. Great staff who were attentive and kind. It was my first visit and I went for IUD removal and insertion. NP was skilled and kind, the procedure quick, and interactions respectful and professional. Will now go here for all of my gyno/reproductive needs.

I usually come here, because I always get some kind of yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, and/or UTIs.. very professional service, and great staffs.

The staff was very kind and understanding of the situation i was in, i was very scared and im actually not even done with my appointment but i am optimistic about the ending just because the staff has been so kind

Everyone I've met here has been superduper sweet and very personable, they gave me a estimate on my appointment and said it would be between $100-500!?!?!?! I was prepared to pay😔... Then when I was checking out the said that they would take care of it because of my single income, so I offered a donation instead 😊

Every time I've been here I've had a great experience. Staff are all nice, everyone knows what they're doing and they try to get you in and out so you're not waiting around at planned parenthood all day.
