Amazing little brewery. I tried this place back in 2019, and it has only gotten better. Great food, drinks, and the staff are friendly and inviting. A lot of their dishes seem to be seasonal, so you have to check in regularly to see what's available. Will definitely go back when I'm back in that area.

Chicken garlic pesto pasta - INCREDIBLE! love their parmesan fries too. My coworker ordered a B.T.L.G and it has so much bacon! 🥓 Ambiance is so unique, this used to be an old power plant building and the interior design is level up! Lots of natural light and fun dining environment to dine in to. Servers are super friendly. Parking can be challenging on a busy day. Price is a bit high.

I've been wanting to go here for quite some time and wish we came a long time ago! My new favorite spot in Puyallup for good food. Visited at lunchtime with my husband and 3 yr old. Waited about 5 mins to be seated, only one server and one bartender. It was a beautiful 73-degree Sunday, but their patio was not open! Oh well, we sat at a high table with stools next to a window that looked into the area where the beer is made. Very cool atmosphere with original brick, old-time photos, and fixtures from when the building was used for power. The highlight of the visit was Phyllis, a 25 year old split leaf philodendron who was happily hanging under the skylight basking in all her glory! The food was delicious and options plentiful. We got the fish and chips, fire burger, and cheese pizza. My son has nut allergies, and they were more than accommodating. Beer was good, fries were crispy, best fried pickles I've ever had! Both dipping sauces were perfect. Unfortunately, I don't remember our servers name, but she was the perfect amount of attentive and anticipated our needs. I will definitely be back to check on Phyllis--the great food is just an added bonus. Thank you!!

Delicious food, excellent service, and a hidden little gem. The firehouse chicken is unlike anything I've ever had. I can't wait to try the pasta version. The homemade chips and salsa were fresh and hit the spot. The wings were awesome 👌 honey garlic was fantastic and the ghost pepper Pineapple was even better, if you like the heat. The fried pickles were good but needed a little more flavor.

They have $2.50 beers on Tuesdays and $3 beers on Thursdays.

They brew all of their beers in-house, and the tap changes weekly. 10/10 would recommend 👌 We come here about every week.

Lizzie was a wonderful server. All of the staff here are super friendly and helpful.

We took our daughter there for her 11th birthday. Dinner was delicious but what impressed me more was that our waiter politely told his other customers to calm down on the swearing so our kids wouldn't hear the f word all the time. The customers responded very well and my husband and I were really impressed by the whole experience.

A more recent discovery of mine and quickly becoming a favorite of mine! Historical building with plenty of artifacts and stories within. The staff are always kind and personable. The food they offer so far has been amazing. My wife's favorite is the Ruben while mine is the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich! Very ambient atmosphere making the experience even better!!

I've been wanting to check this spot out for a year. Honestly, it was low on my priority list. It should have been higher! Service was fantastic and food was solid. I felt like the price of food - what you got- was a bit over the top. In other words, $16 for a burger is a lot to ask. It's good, but not THAT GOOD! Brews are solid.

Good food and beer, a fun aesthetic, and a great selection of classic rock playing in the background. I loved seeing all the old ellectrical equipment, and the plant they have hanging in the dining area is glorious!

I was borderline hangry when my bro and I rolled up to Powerhouse (his suggestion based on cheap beer on Tuesday)

As advertised, $2.50 pints all day Tuesday!

The host for eats the Fire Pasta, and a dip. Natasha was on-point.

I ordered the Fire Pasta, my bro ordered the other suggestion. Goodness, that is spicy yet flavorful!

I absolutely loved the powerhouse conversion to a brewery, very Steampunk.

I've gone here since I was young. The poles inside used to light up every time a train went by! They don't do it now, unfortunately. The service has always been excellent, and I love their food and beer options!

Our waitress, long curly red hair, I wish I remembered her name, was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and we had an all around great experience. We have lived in the area for over 30 years and never been here.

Tonight I asked my husband if he wanted to go out to dinner. His response," you mean go get disappointed again." We have had so many years negative experiences lately going out that it was so refreshing to have such an awesome experience. Thanks!!!

I love the atmosphere! The brick building is beautiful and I kind of like that trains go right by it.
The parking lot is small.
The waitress was great!
I had a drink that was Lime vodka, cranberry juice, orange juice and soda... very good.
The food was great. We had a burger with tots and pastrami rueban with tots.

I will definitely go back :)
Enjoy!

Powerhouse Restaurant and Brewery

Powerhouse is a family style brewery with an expansive food menu and solid taplist. The itself resides in an old brick building that has played a unique part of Puyallup and the greater puget sounds history.

Where the brewery is now used to be The Puyallup Substation, and was constructed for the Puget Sound Electric Railroad in 1907, supplying the power to the Interurban Electric Trolley that ran from Seattle to Olympia. The Powerhouse name pays tribute to these roots.

Their beer menu had a lot to choose from. While there we had their

Raspberry Cider and Tangerine Wheat Hefe. Both of which were heavily Fruited. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hefeweizen.

The inside is fairly spacious. They have a large indoor dining area complete with full bar, as well as a more secluded area where families can spend some time. They a have a patio area with covered seating that they have open during the nicer months.

They have a large menu that offers mostly American Style food. Burgers, Pizza, Salads, Pastas. We split the Katsu Chicken Burger and their Sundried Tomato, Artichoke, creamy pesto pasta. Both were large portions and delicious. The chicken was more homestyle/buttery than anticipated but it was perfect after spending the day at the beer festival.

The staff was friendly and attentive and they made sure we were taken care of.
We will definitely coming back.

Stopped in for lunch. Super cute, funky atmosphere. Attentive wait staff, great burgers and good beer options. Shuffle board and some other games upstairs.

*Edir to say I still love this place! Reliably good food and good beer. Stop in on a Thursday for $3 pours, can't beat it!

Everything is unique and amazing here! Atmosphere, food, and service were on point... Seating is limited, so had a small wait but overall fantastic!!! $2.50 pints on Tuesdays were a great draw, seasonal specials are also amazing, and a good selection of bar/pub specialities on their regular menu. Even got a quick tour/history of the brewery and historic hydroelectric powerstation! Wish we didn't live an hour away otherwise this would become my new regular hangout; But will now be my favorite midway stop to/from Seattle. Thanks Naddy for the great time and for being a fantastic "server/guide/historian"!

Well after moving from spanaway, this place has always been on my radar from having their beer at rainier growlers up the hill. I was not disappointed, we decided on nothing but appetizers and because my fiance always talked good about the fire chicken, i was pleased to see a dish on the menu to have it as an appetizer. We got the calamari, breast of fire, the wings and pretzel. The wings were the ghost pepper pineapple and I would recommend the. The flavor was more on a BBQ sauce side but there's definitely ghost pepper in there, but I like spicy things and it wasn't too hot for me. The best part of the wings were they seemed to be hand cut so you could tell someone in the kitchen actually prepared them(to me at least) the fire breast came with the perfect amount of bread to dip and the sauce my fiance talked up didn't let me down. I wanted to drink it straight it was so good. Creamy and spice with very well all balanced flavors. And the calamari didn't disappoint either. It was all wrapped up with a very nice waiter Brandon, he was very nice and made it very welcoming and loved that we were doing all apps. The beer was good as well. I really enjoyed the hazy whats hop to love, got the Meeker and the hopporator and on untapped they were all above a 4 for me. I will definitely come back for the fire chicken and beer each time. The decor was really cool too as I do electrician work and seeing the old school meters were very nice.

Went down for the fire pasta. Oh my goodness!!! Hadn't had it for a while, and it did not disappoint!! Paired it with a pineapple cider, a mango cider, and the solar electricity wheat ale. Server took great care of us too!!!

Been here a couple of times with my boyfriend we always get the breast of fire for a appetizer, this time I had the BLT on fresh sourdough bread with avocado and ceasar salad, it was best sandwhich Ive had in a very long time, the ice tea was freshly brewed too. Most of all I love the ambiance of the place with all of the train themed art around brick buliding backround, really cool spot!
