Via Verde Animal Hospital

The vet that was treating our baby boy, prior to Via Verde stepping in, had our doggy on the path to not being with us anymore. There were many steps that werent taken and over looked which had us desperate one night to get a second opinion in fear we were watching our Douglas die before our eyes. When we met with Dr. Damon Jariath the next day he showed great concern for the condition of our dog as he could see at first glance that he was severely Dehydrated. We had been on a journey to treat Douglas for diabetes and hypothyroidism. Dr Damon assured us that they were highly trained in the field of diabetes and had many patients with the disease in their care. This gave us hope. A long week began trying to nurse our doggy back to health. He was severely sick with Keto acidosis that unfortunately could have been found early on with the prior vet. His labs done with Via Verde were very very concerning showing that all his levels were in grave danger including his liver. We didn't know what the outcome would be for our Douglas but whatever happened we were so grateful we went with our gut and could come to terms with whatever happened knowing that we now had him in the right hands at Via Verde. They worked diligently to do all they could to get Douglas back to health. As of Monday January 23rd our boy is home. He has a long journey ahead with his diabetes and further care to recover from how sick he had become but he is alive and well and with us. I will forever be grateful for the staff at Via Verde.

This animal hospital was such a great place for us to take our pug. I saw the reviews were mostly great and they were the only vets who would see her walk in right away. They performed emergency surgery on our baby girl and saved her. It was a little pricey but they have a credit care program and that worked so great for us we can’t thank them enough for saving our girl. The doctor even called and checked up on our babygirl. We will definitely be back and share this Vet experience!

The employees are all very nice and actually care about the pets. They remember the pets and their families and they provide excellent service every time. They always make sure to answer all our questions and make us feel comfortable during our visits.

I took my cat here with no appointment after leaving an office that wanted me to stay in the parking lot while my cat got checked out, she had never been to the vet sick before so i didn’t feel comfortable not being with her… i called Via Verde Animal Hospital and they were able to reassure me i’d be in the office with my cat talking with the Dr, when i got there, even as a walk in, i was helped right away! everyone was super friendly and communicative, they gave me a few options for complete care with different price ranges so i could make the choice to do at home medication or keep my cat there for inpatient treatments, i felt they were understanding of my budget concerns and made sure my cat got everything she needed to get back to full health without breaking my bank. upon picking her up they told me how sweet and calm she was the whole time which eased my worries about her first vet visit and i know they were kind to her. They even called the next day to check in and make sure Mango was doing well with the take home treatment. Overall a positive experience even while dealing with the stressful situation of having a sick kitty. Thank you for your kindness Via Verde Animal Hospital team!

Staff and Doctor Singh is very patient and informative to all of our concerns. We were indecisive with our options and doctor was very understanding and laid out all of the options and what to expect dependent on our decision. Thank you for the oustanding service and advice. I was in need of urgent care and everywhere I called no one was answering (this was two days before Christmas) and when I called Via Verde they answered right away and I had explained that my dog ate a box of chocolates and they were able to take her in right away. She was under their care for two days and I can honestly say that she got the care she needed. It was a bit pricey ($80 for a doctor’s visit), but they suggested to apply for a care plan and I was able to get everything she needed in order to get the care she needed. Thank you team for everything and for making sure that MuMu would be home for Christmas.

Great staff & they are so helpful in a crisis. My dog would not have lived thru the night w/o surgery. In panic mode they were able to accommodate my dog & they did not price gouge me either. It was an emergency and I appreciate that they took my dog in asap and saved her life, something my current vet would not do until the next morning & I was not taking that risk. This is our new vet & I highly recommend Via Verde Animal Hospital. The staff were all so helpful & very kind. I do not care that the drive is a bit further, they are well worth it.

They take care of our Carmela with patience and caring. It’s awesome.

I started bringing my 17-year-old chihuahua here a couple of months ago and it’s become her regular veterinary office. The doctors and staff are always very friendly and helpful. I take my little sister’s 10-years-old chihuahua to Banfield as her regular veterinary office but I can definitely tell the difference between the two offices and the way in which they care for their patients. Everyone at Via Verde cares for the patients as if they were their own pets. I can feel calm knowing that my chihuahua is being well taken care of at this office. The staff members are always willing to take the time to answer questions. And I like the fact that they allow walk-ins.

Our 1 year old NewNew had bloody diarrhea for the past 2 days and it really raise our concern for his health. I tried to call a few hospitals but Via
Verde animal hospital is the only hospital that understands our worry and willing to take walk in patient. Dr.Kumar was very nice and professional doing treatments, he deserves a million stars!!
The price was also very fair. After a few days from taking the medication, my dog doesn't have bloody diarrhea anymore and become energetic
again! I will definitely recommend this place and bring my dog back. Also shouts out to the reception and technicians who patiently helped
my dog. Thank you all 3000 times!

The staff at this facility are complete angels … thank you so much Dr. Kumar and all the vet technicians who assisted my sweet old lady Cirilla… these people are complete rockstars …. Their scheduling was easy and I was able to book an appointment very quickly… any questions I had were answered very professionally …they updated me through out the day to tell me the progress of my sweet cat which put all my anxieties at ease… words can’t describe how thankful and great of an experience I had. Would definitely recommend this place. Hope this facility continues to strive … every pet deserve fantastic care 😇

My 2 Fur-Babies are always treated like Royalty😇🥰😊 by the entire Staff, including receptionists, vet techs and by the Team of veterinarians.
These Vets literally saved my puppies lives after being misdiagnosed by a different animal hospital. I am forever grateful 😇🤗😊

My (almost 8 weeks) pup got sick. He had lost of vomit and diarrhea he was getting dehydrated, he only wanted to be sleeping. I called 6 different veterans/animal hospitals and they wouldn't take any walk inns. Wich i understand, and the ones that did take walk inns, wouldn't take any new patients. I was frustrated Until I found Via Verde Animal Hospital, i called they scheduled me an appointment right away. Once I arrived they did a parrvol test which he came out negative. Took him in, took really good care of my baby. Throw out the time I was there they kept on giving me updates on how my pup was doing and the medications they were giving him. Unfortunately there is only 5 starts otherwise i would of gladly given them a higher rating. Staff was very kind, carrying and professional. I strongly recommend you taking your babies here. My Maggie has been cared for at via verde animal hospital for two years now.
I ALWAYS feel the veterinarian is detailed and thorough from start to finish.
He listens to me and when I go home with Maggie all of my concerns have been addressed!
Professional yet personal one on one interaction that makes a dog owner feel so at ease.
Their knowledge and sincerity is deeply appreciated.

This review is going to be long. It's not a long boring story about how unhappy I am with the care my dog gets, but how Dr. KUMAR had gone above and beyond to MAKE SURE Maggie and I are good.
In short, allergies, allergies, allergies!!!!!

Allergy shots helped, but things get worse sometimes.

Dr Kumar can see that I'm deeply affected by maggies discomfort, so he suggested, after a year of issues, the blood test, NELCO - VET.

I was happy to get confirmation of dust and grass but hoped for a list of foods she cannot have (like other allergy tests). Instead, you get a small list of what she is "allergic" to, and a very long list of dog foods recommended.

In other words, NELCO does all the work to seek the right foods for your pup to eat that has no ingredients they're allergic to.

I didn't know that. I expected a big long list of foods SHE CANT HAVE. Because I cooked for maggie. I was thinking along the lines of previous home test with hair that tells you what your dog is "SENSATIVE" to. NOT ALLERGIC!

The blood test revealed and broke down the main culprits to steer clear from and the list of dog food to buy that's ok'd follows that.

I was shocked and off put to receive a list of dog foods to buy instead a list of foods to avoid since I make maggies food most of the time.

Grateful for the confirmation of dust and grass being a culprit, I've made major great changes in our home, air purifiers and hepa filters.

The only reason I was able to afford the $1500 in filters, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, was because when Dr Kumar found our how upset I was he refunded me the $500 for the NELCO blood test.

I honestly, sincerely, believe and can recommend Dr Kumar and any vet and vet assistant at VIA VERDE ANIMAL HOSPITAL.

Reception and other staff have always been amazing.

Incredible! I called about 15 other animal hospitals/urgent cares for my extremely lethargic and actively vomiting pup. Other places were not able to accomodate him so I was extremely grateful to come across Via Verde Animal Hospital. Brought my pup in on Friday where they did curbside testing on him and found out he had Parvovirus. Dr. Kumar and his team were very empathetic, told me their entire treatment plan and were very honest about his condition/prognosis. He had his highs and lows during his stay but thankfully he was discharged on Monday and sent home with medications to continue the treament. I can tell Dr. Kumar and his team (I want to say Sarah and Melissa) really care about their patients and the owners. What I appreciated the most was their communication and sincerity during this tough time. They kept in contact multiple times a day about his condition and always made sure I had my questions answered. I'm very thankful for the team and that my pup is on his road to recovery! 5/5 paw ratings!

I was very thankful for the thorough exam, explanation and care that was shown to Pip. I am definitely making Via Verde Animal Hospital Pips place for all his medical needs, and I will highly recommend it to family and friends.

My little chihuahua terrier mix, Basil had what I thought was a UTI. I just moved to the area so I hadn’t established a vet yet, and so I called Via Verde Animal Hospital. They were able to get me in right away. I was extremely nervous because the vets around here only do curbside and Basil does not like strangers. You could also say I’m an over protective dog mom lol. The tech who came out and got her was so kind, and immediately calmed my nerves.

Once I talked to Dr. Kumar he was hands on, caring, knowledgeable and thorough. He took his time diagnosing Basil. I also liked that he acknowledged that I feed my dogs raw and didn’t dismiss it as other vets have in the past.

When they brought basil back out to me she wasn’t in any distress at all, the tech also seemed very comfortable holding her and I was so relieved. Overall I had a really great experience and would highly recommend going here.

They took great care of my dog and gave me a very fair price for what she needed to have done. The doctor there is who you want to talk to you when it comes to your pricing. The other staff would charge you according to their training so it’s important you talk to the doctor and find out in detail what they’re charging you forAnd whether it’s necessary or just recommended.
