Donut Friend

These are such good donuts! The passion fruit was a true standout - very flavorful and tart, with bitter cocoa nibs. The mango donut was also delicious and the tiny bit of cayenne and lime zest just added to how good it was. The Nutella donut was very tasty. We were tempted by so many of the options. The people who worked there were super friendly.

As a vegan I find it really hard to find great Donuts. When I stumbled into Donut Friend I wasn't for sure it was vegan because there aren't really signs there. Once I realized every delicious-looking donut in the case was vegan I went crazy! My favorite is the Angry Samoan which is like a Girl Scout cookie complete with the shredded coconut and chocolate! The old fashioned donuts are amazing too. But the win here is any donut stuffed with their incredible and totally dairy-free cream filling. The youth brulee is spectacular

Really original flavors! Every bite is full of life. You can get your classic glazed, all the way to some really experimental fun flavors. Reasonably priced for the quality. Great location around lots of shops and fun stuff! A must for any donut lover - local or visiting la!

I've had their strawberry shakes and peanut butter shakes so far, and they are so delicious!! The donuts are unbelievably delicious. I wish I had known about this place before. Now I'm a regular.

There is no place like Donut Friend! It is a God send for my allergies. Even my non vegan friends love it and of course the packaging/branding is amazing.

I've been to this place multiple times since 2019. So much variety and tasty donuts. Definitely get there early if you want to try something specific. The donut with cookie butter is my favorite! My mom's favorite (even though she doesn't like sweets that much) is the one with strawberries and cream. This place is far for me, but worth it, so usually I buy a dozen and a box/bag of donut holes on the side❣

This is a go-to, absolute must for me when I am in LA. They have so many options, the donuts are humongous. And everyone who has ever worked there is SUPER NICE!

The not quite my variety and the prices are a bit higher than your typical donut, but the donuts are not typical which is what's great about them. The Pumpkin Piebald doesn't look as interesting as the other choices, but it was better than the most interesting ones to me and those were great.

One of the best donut spots I've been to. Phenomenal balance of confection, decadence, and comfort. Had the creme Brule, senses fall, and a banana cake donut. Definitely stoked to go next time I'm down. Would highly recommend.

Donut Friend has amazing vegan doughnuts! I can't say enough about how tasty and colorful they are. The cute location has been busy each time I've stopped in in the evening, but the line moves quickly and the treat is worth the wait.

No matter where you are in LA you need to come to Donut Friend! For those who eat gluten free the donuts in the black print on the menu are the ones that can be made gluten free or you can go the DIY route. However, keep in mind that the gluten free donuts share a dryer with the non gluten free ones. I ordered the gluten free polar berry club and it was absolutely amazing! The donut was moist and flavorful, the berries were ripe and sweet and the lemon glaze was to die for. My sister got the Panda berry and was completely satisfied. I can't wait to go and try the others!

Its all VEGAN!!! Bet a lot of folks didn't know that! Or couldn't tell the difference. Their donuts are packed full of taste and affordable! Around $3.50 each....crème brulee and mint chocolate creme stack!

I've tasted my far share of bad vegan desserts that only taste like one thing...one type is sugar, no matter the change in texture of additions. But this place is fantastic! They even had vegan scoops.

Best vegan doughnuts I’ve EVER had. Hands down not too sweet & not too dry. The doughnuts are also well priced, it was so cheap we ended each getting a box ourselves. I highly recommend visiting here if you have the chance for breakfast.

Definitely the place to go for fun vegan donuts! The flavors are all very unique and interesting, but they still have some basics for the traditionalists. Some of my favorites were: the Polar Berry and the S'mores. I didn't care much for the Cookie Butter and my boyfriend didn't like it at all because it was salted. I picked up a classic maple as well because that's my favorite basic donut and that was great quality. My non-vegan boyfriend thought the S'mores was incredible! We also picked up the Fudge and Rice Crispy which were both good but not the best. I totally recommend this place to any vegan looking for a real decadent sugary, fatty treat. These 6 donuts ran me about $20 so not cheap! But totally treat yo self!

Yum. This is the original location. They will customize your donut with a one in a million combination of ingredients and toppings. Compared to other famous places like Voodoo in Portland, they use less oil and sugar, and the dough is moister.

After going vegan, I missed the complex artisan donuts that some donut shops like to make. I was excited to hear about Donut Friend, a donut shop that makes similar donuts that are 100% vegan!

I stopped by on a Friday night and there was a line, but nothing crazy - maybe a 10 minute wait? I assume the peak hours are around that time.

When I got inside, I walked by a display case filled with different types of artisan donuts. Each donut had a punny name and they all looked fancy.

Prices per donut vary; the ones I got were $3-$4 each. Pricey compared to 7-eleven, but about normal for an artisan donut place.

I bought 4 donuts and they were delicious! My favorites were the S'morrissey (s'more) and the Fudgegazi (chocolate with chocolate whipped frosting.)

This must remain an occasional indulgence due to both the high sugar content and the price; however, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique vegan treat.

Donut shop with actually good vegan options. They carry both yeast and cake donuts with inventive, fun, and delicious options. Highly suggest for a great treat, even if you’re not vegan!

How in the world do they make those fritters so good!? Inventive and delicious flavors that I didn’t realize were vegan until my wife pointed it out. I genuinely couldn’t tell the difference.
