Wadi-e-Hussain Cemetery

Beautiful, peaceful place. Our children find comfort when visiting their BeBe here. Lots of cute squirrels to watch running around. Friendly and caring visitors water others gravesites and park bench, chairs to sit on while visiting. Shady areas were you can sit and enjoy your visit together. Very respectful people share space where Muslim Burial grounds are. Water faucet and trash in a convenient area nearby. Close parking spaces nearby. No restrooms available though. Lots of tall beautiful old trees planted there. Some loud traffic noise at times but it’s worth the price and convenience of location near 60 fryway. Lots of green grass and looks like it’s a clean place. Well kept and gates locked 5 p.m.

My grandmother Naseem Akhtar Naqvi 1994-2019 rests there. We visit from time to time although its very far. The best time to come is 4-7 when the sun is setting. It is the most beautiful and peaceful time there. There is always a cool breeze and trees for shade, so coming early in the afternoon is also comforting.

There is no shame in dying away from your home country as Imam Hussain (AS) himself was martyred in Iraq, hundreds of miles away from his home in the Hijaz.
