After the sudden loss of our daughter in 2021, this is the one place we had in mind for her placement. My husband is a life long resident of La Verne, and we wanted our daughter kept near home. Our first and only contact was with a wonderful man named Diego, who is a world class representative of Abbey Rose Memorial Parks, the current owners of the property. Past owners had let greed and their general disdain allow for this property to change multiple hands, become exceedingly neglected, and fall into disrepair. This current ownership looks to restore La Verne Cemetery to its former glory. My only negative opinion is that, unfortunately, large blocks of what was still left of this small cemetery were greedily sold off by previous owners to two local mosques for burial of their members exclusively. I'm am not judgemental, but their cultural internment traditions leave their sections looking militaristic, and they obtrusively stand out from the rest of the small park. I'm sorry, but for this town historically being a senior-centric community, I feel long-time residents should have been given priority for burial. There are markers dating back to the pioneer days, founding Lordsburg patriarchs, and of course local familiars of varying eras, but their silent monumental beauty is sadly and garishly overshadowed by the definitively sectioned off mosque areas. One day drive down B Street yourself, and see how you feel when you see it. You might even mistake it for a possible Veteran's section in the front of the park, reminiscent of Arlington National Cemetery. Feel free to disagree, as is my offered opinion only, and the representatives of current ownership only inherited the issue, not created it. It just saddens me. My husband and I purchased the 3 adjoining plots next to my daughter, so our entire close-knit family can rest together for eternity. Cemeteries in general are supposed to be places where your culture, age, heritage, and beliefs play no bearing on who you will be laid to rest next to someday. Anyways, moving on. Diego has been helpful, kind, understanding, and proactive in resolving any issues brought to his attention, either with the grounds, or specifically for our daughter. Always cordial to a fault, he has been a rock for us as we still remain lost in grief after our first daughter's sudden death. My husband is very obstinate and detail-oriented in regards to her, and the park has done its best to satiate his wants and wishes for our child, and someday our entire family. Ever patient, Diego is always available to meet with us to discuss planning or just be a sympathetic ear. He always remembers our daughter's names and refers to them both in every conversation we have with him. If only the park could regain its previous property rights (where the city nursery now sits) so it can continue to expand and grow, for anyone who wishes to make La Verne Cemetery their final resting place. Thank you for reading, and if anyone took offense, it was solely my own opinion stated here for narrative sake.

Years ago I bought a couple of pre-need graves and recently we got a new marker for some in-laws. While service has always been excellent - phone calls and emails always returned promptly and no bs - the cemetery struggled for several years to keep up the grounds. That has changed. Irrigation system has been upgraded, grass is healthy and is mowed and trimmed regularly, overgrown and dead trees have been cleared away, tippy headstones are fixed, and even the trash cans are new. It looks great now.

Horrible upkeep. Flooded headstones, tire tracks all over grass, full of mud. Not a pleasant place to bury your loved ones. Find somewhere else!
