This is an amazing vet office I’m so grateful for, they’re the best!! Not only do they stay on top of things for routine care so you don’t lapse on vaccinations or annual tests, but they’re there for you when your fur baby is under the weather. And they’re not a big clinic, so my dog has received continuity of care. The vet has always been conservative and appropriate with recommendations for diagnostic testing and treatment so bills don’t get too crazy. And even though sometimes bills can get high, I’ve never regretted it or felt “sold”; I always felt grateful for the attention my dog received because he always feels better. They know what they’re doing! ❤

I am forever grateful for Dr. Zedelis and the whole team at VCA Manhattan Beach! I was desperate trying to find a vet when a kitten was dropped off on our lawn, and they were able to fit me in. The care, love, and attention they give each animal is clearly seen and felt. I am so happy to have found a trustworthy vet for our family!

We have been taking our dog Bella to Animal Medical and Dental Group for several years, and we could not be more pleased! The facility itself is extremely well-kept. It’s clear from the moment you enter that they take pride in keeping their lobby and examination rooms very clean and neat. Additionally, the entire staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and caring. Booking appointments over the phone is always a fast and easy process, which is very important to us since our dog is diabetic and has to have semi-regular glucose checkups. There has also been one emergency case when she first started insulin where she needed to be checked right away due to her looking and acting very lethargic, in which case they made time to check on her right away even though they were fully booked that day. Everyone on the staff is truly incredible, and we always feel listened to whenever we go. There has never been an instance where our thoughts and questions were not addressed and answered. All of the veterinarians are always mindful of our needs and concerns, and it’s very clear how much each of them cares about helping our beloved Bella. There are still so many more positive things we can say about the facility and staff, but in all, after trying several different veterinary facilities over the years with previous pets, Animal Medical and Dental Group is truly the best facility we have ever been to and will continue to go to for all of our dog’s needs.

To say the staff goes above and beyond is not an understatement! Highly recommend this vet and specifically the vet tech Candy. She has been so kind and gracious with my pup and I sincerely appreciate it.

I was visiting Hermosa beach and my dog was not feeling so well. I wish I found this place sooner before I called around to at least 20 different vet offices to get my dog an appointment. None of them could get my dog in until I finally called VCA and they were able to see me within 2 hours. From the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help. I am happy to say my dog is feeling much better thanks to the vet and staff at this location. I have been to a lot of different vets and can honestly say this VCA location is one of the best offices I have ever been to. I want to thank the vet and staff so much for everything they did for me and my baby girl ❤

Dr Nielsen is still the best. My fourth Doberman is now a patient, and he has taken great care of them all. We particularly needed his abilities as a dentist and the job was done in a timely fashion. The front office staff and the tech staff in the back are all professionals. Animals are treated with much affection and care. The puppy parent is also shown love and caring, with detailed explanations of treatment options and consideration of their feelings when leaving the pet in the vet's care.

As a new puppy parent they completely covered all of my bases with their puppy care club package. It is basically an all inclusive year long service that covers all the puppy vaccinations, neutering, and other perks. I paid around $1700 and pay it off monthly with 0% interest. Totally worth it and this staff is so helpful! It's weird not being able to go into the office because of covid, but the staff here has it down and are great at communicating. Just have your phone on hand charged and ready as that will be your point of contact when your pup is in there. Would recommend this place to anyone who has a puppy they love!

My two dogs have had great experiences with both Dr. Robertson & Dr. Koester. My large lab was initially fearful of her vet visits. The doctors and staff made special arrangements to allow me to bring her through the back door and into the last exam room. This has really helped her over the years and she is much less resistant to vet appointments. My little chihuahua has made multiple visits to this office--both regular and emergency without any issues. Happy pups=happy mom. Thanks AMG!

Our experience with Animal Medical & Dental Group has been nothing short of excellent. Every vet/assistant has taken good care of my dog and truly cares about him (and us). I've been to other vets before, but choose to go to Animal Medical Group for any of my dog's veterinary needs.

Dr. Robertson and her staff were outstanding. When we were brought our dog who had seizures, they were very kind and loving with our animal. Dr. R continued to follow the prognosis of the dog after we were in the care of a neurologist. She was very good and thorough with all his examinations during the process. Highly recommend this vet group.

Our dog LOVES to go the vet! Dr. Koester and her assistant truly love animals and it shows in how much our dog anticipates walking through the door. The front desk staff and vet assistants thoroughly explain everything we need to know and are friendly and attentive. We have had a wonderful experience each and every time we have visited.

Great experience!! Dr. Roxy and her staff were so nice and helpful. We have a new family member Sir Toby, and everyone went above and beyond to help us feel welcome. They answered all our questions, gave us a goodie bag, and even trimmed his nail for us!! So glad we found this location and I highly recommend checking them out!

AMG is simply fantastic and I have had the best experience there with everyone, particularly Dr. Robertson. What you hope for in a vet is exactly what AMG delivers. Unfortunately for our puppy, she has come to know the staff at AMG quite intimately after having more than a few visits this past year. Every time it has been a delight interacting with their doctors and they are great with making both the pet and owner extremely comfortable. Dr. Robertson has never rushed through the appointment and will sit and explain everything to me that is going on. Furthermore, after some post-surgery complications and a weekend at the 24 hour vet hospital, Dr. Robertson called me frequently to keep me posted with our puppy and went as far as to come in on her day off so we could bring her in for a check up. She is one of those vets that clearly loves animals as much as we do and is always sensitive during these anxious times. I highly recommend AMG and as a side note recommend Trupanion (pet insurance) as both have been lifesavers for us.

I have been bringing my cats to AMG for at least 16 years. They make me feel like I am part of a team when it comes to maintaining the health of my cats. Over the years, they have helped several of my cats cross to the Rainbow Bridge and are very compassionate each time. We have battled several health issues with the kitties head on and I know that I get some extra time with my fur babies because of their input. I'm in there several times a week and they always take the time to ask how the cats are doing, even if they just asked two days ago. I will continue to highly recommend them. Each and every person there is part of my team.

I can't begin to describe what Dr. Nielsen has meant to us. We have 2 girl RagaMuffin cats with resorptive lesions. They are painful and something has to be done about it. He has done oral surgery on both the girls once and removed the teeth which are affected plus removed the root tips from the disintegration of the teeth (I think I'm saying that correctly). They are so stoic we didn't even realize they had pain until our vet noticed it and referred us to him. He also cleaned their teeth while at it and took photos so we could see the before and after. It was amazing and I felt badly that their teeth had so much plaque on them even though they were only 4 years old at the time. I know some people think it's silly because they are treated like humans (blood pressure monitoring, teeth cleaning, oral surgery, constant monitoring when they are under anesthesia) but when you love your pet that much it is important to you to know how well they are cared for. One time I arrived early and they said, "It'll be just a little while, Bailey is being brushed before he is released." Now how cute is that! He came out with not only pearly whites but he'd been brushed. Our two boy cats have just been there for cleanings but it's time we start saving and getting them to Dr. Nielsen again as I know it's needed once again. I've read plenty on how dirty teeth affect their health down the road and we are so happy to have found this place. They also do regular veterinary services but we've been there for dental issues. We love it there. The techs. also tell us how nice and cute our cats are and it's like when someone compliments your kid - it feels good - because we love our pets like kids.

You guys literally were my hero’s on Saturday Sept 1st! I’m am truly grateful for you guys. We had a situation where United Airlines changed they ESA documentation policy to fly with my dog. They were not allowing me on the flight until documents were signed off by a vet. I was extremely stressed and had already had a meltdown at the airport. I needed to make my best friends wedding and had already missed my 1st flight.
I yelped the closest open vet to LAX. Called and explain the situation, and they were able to provide me with the best and efficient service ever. Thank you to everyone for your
Service and empathy for my situation. If I lived closer, you would be my permanent vet for my French Bulldog! I can’t thank you all enough!

They have taken excellent care of my dogs. I wish I had the words to express how thankful I am for their care and expertise. I was able to celebrate my mastiff’s 8th Birthday because they were able to heal both of her torn ligaments with stem cell therapy. She’s my life and is healthy, happy and playing like a happy pup because of the doctors at AMG. I’m forever greatful.

Wonderful trusted local resource. They have been looking after our dogs for nearly 20 years now. Dr Drew's our favorite, kind, compassionate and a voice of reason when things get emotional. The front office team are helpful and always greet you like a long lost friend. "Two thumbs up" (or is that a different site?)

Dr. Deb Robertson was great in helping me with my senior dog who is having trouble walking. She took much more time than is normal to exam him and go over all my concerns and work with me on ensuring I could afford the plan of treatment. I highly recommend this Vet and the staff there. If only I could find a doctor like this as my own physician.

We have been coming to AMDG for about 15 years to provide care for two cats. We have been helped by all the vets at this practice. The cats behaved much better for the man (or woman) in the white coats than they did for us. The cats were treated gently, and eventually one of them had to be put down. This procedure was done with respect and care, and after she had been cremated we were given her ashes in a lovely box with a bow, and we received a nice condolence card.
This is a classy practice - I now have a young cat who I will introduce to the AMDG staff!.
P.S. This review was credited to my daughter in Denver - however I wrote it and it's all true. It's no fun taking your pet to the vet's, but our "grls" always calm down when the white coat appears!
