Went for dinner and the food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh with good presentation and flavor. Staff is polite and fast and a nice atmosphere to dine in. The rainbow ice cream is a must try for dessert! A little expensive but definitely worth it for the size and portions. Had no wait time on a Tuesday night

Food was good, waitress was hardly there. She brought my food and didn't come back for at least 15 - 20 minutes. But overall good eats, I ordered the 2 item combo which comes with soup and salad. Miso soup was tasteless salad would of been great if it wasn't for the over spiced salad dressing. My Chicken katsu and tempura was great. Good amount of food and cooked to perfection.

We love picking up our father and going to eat at the Shogun Restaurant in La Verne. He always gets a kick out of watching them cook the delicious food. The shrimp, filet mignon, fried rice are my personal favorites. The cooks make everyone feel welcome and we all have a good time. REcently we have been going to the sushi area and have really enjoyed it. The pricing on all food is really reasonable. Recommend this place for dates, family and friend gatherings.

Gerardo is amazing. The steak he cooked literally melted in my mouth. The best ive ever had. He went above and beyond in his show and even did something that I've never seen done before for my sons birthday. He was funny, engaging and everything he cooked was top notch.

My family absolutely loves this place. My wife made reservations and we were seated close to our reservation time. We didn’t wait much on a Friday night at 5pm. The food was absolutely perfect. It’s what you expect from a hibachi place. It is a bit pricey, so be prepared to spend some money. The staff is friendly and attentive. The chefs working there are some of the hardest working chefs. Make sure to take care of those guys too.

They are not doing the “fire shows”. I don’t know if it’s because of COVID. But they are interactive with the guest.

The perfect choice for celebrating my father's birthday with a party of seven on New Year's Day. The experience was delightful from start to finish. The impressive selection of drinks set a positive tone for the evening, with a variety that catered to everyone's preferences.

Great food .. love the service! The show as they cook the food is always fun … just gets a little loud so don’t come for quiet romance .. come to be social and enjoy!!

Sushi is always a great idea! My first time visiting this elegant little place in San Dimas. From the moment we arrived, nothing but a great experience. From the outside, you can't really tell how nice it is. We visited for lunch; however, I decided to order outside the lunch menu. I could not be more pleased. I ordered the 1/2 roll trio. I selected the Crunch Dragon roll, Salsa Ceviche roll, and the BSC roll. All three were exquisite. Soooo much flavor in every bite. I decided to try the Butter Cake for dessert. Another winner. The service was great. Thanks, Nathaniel. You're the best! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Favorite of ours, we always have a great time. Service is top-notch and delicious food. We recommend the Dynamite (cooked on the grill) off the menu item. For those of you who have been eating at shoguns for as long as we have, know .

Great priced sushi. Amazing quality no fishy smells tastes like butter great cuts perfect amount of lean meat. No sauce or Wasabi needed for sushi. Freshest tasting salmon I have had in the area!

Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a blast!! Our cook for the evening, his name was angel, was very entertaining and engaging! The food was also delicious!! My bfs mom is allergic to onions and the staff made sure nothing was contaminated so she could enjoy her food. The sushi is a must!!! Try the caliente rolls trust me!

Excellent and so much fun. Our server was fantastic, funny and the food was amazing. I had the miso soup, garden salad, New York Steak with Samurai Shrimp and paired with saki.

Shogun Restaurant is always the place to go for teppanyaki. The food is absolutely excellent. The service is good, the drinks are good, and the show is great as well. tonight we had Billy, and he was just great. Funny as well as clearly talented in the teppanyaki style of cooking. I always suggest the shrimp and ribeye, cuz that's just the best surf and turf I know. Absolutely recommended!

Shogun is one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to! I came here for a close friend’s birthday and it was mind-blowing how entertaining the chef was! The food was amazing, the fried rice with the different assortment of sauces was delicious. 10/10 I will be coming back soon.

I've been to Benihana and other tepanyaki restaurants previously. This was my first time at Shogun and I really enjoyed our dinner celebration with my family there. We went with kids and the staff were all very friendly and they gave superb customer service. The chef who cooked in front of us was entertaining and fun. We all ordered different dishes but I would highly recommend their lobster and ribeye steak. I ordered calamari as an add on and it was also delicious. They did not over salt or over cook the food. We didn't have to wait very long to eat so I would highly recommend Shogun for future reservations especially for a large party. It's difficult to find a place to eat good food that can accommodate large parties. We had 9 people in total.

Very clean, staff was very friendly. You share the table if there are 4 or less with other people, which is fine. Everyone at our table was nice. We loved watching our food being cooked in front of us and the chef cooking and giving us a show, too.
The food was very good. Just don't order appetizers because by the time you eat your cooked food, you will be full.

We visited on a Thursday evening. We had about a 30 min wait for our group of 9. Also because of COVID restrictions we had to be seated at two separate tables, but they were close to each other so it was fine. Our sever was very nice and attentive throughout our meal. She made sure to check on us often for drink refills and clear empty plates. I ordered the Yakisoba noodle dish with Chicken. It came with a side of stir fried veggies and fried rice. Everything was delicious.

Had a great mother's day. Food and entertainment was great.
