Java Man

Java Man played a large factor in my decision to come back to Hermosa Beach on vacation. Something about it is just comforting. Came here before the pandemic and now four years later the service, selection and quality is just as it was. The breakfast burritos are SO GOOD and they have a huge variety of baked goods. Plus the guys are just so nice. Homey, nostalgic, cozy but still buzzy. Quintessential coffee shop vibes. I will come back to Hermosa again just to go here.

I was in California for the week and my mom and I stumbled upon this gem. The food is fresh and delicious! It’s the perfect spot to stop to grab a quick bite to eat for breakfast. The pricing is very affordable and the staff is extremely nice. It was so good that we had to make another stop here before we went to the airport.

The fact that Java Man doesn’t have 30 thousand five star reviews is astounding. This is your quintessential, local hometown coffee shop. Amazing coffee drinks. Amazing food (fresh every morning from Ocean Diner). And the guys are the best!!!

Coffee is amazing!! The blueberry banana coffee cake was the best! Cute coffee shop, if I lived in CA, this would definitely be my to go spot. My husband had the everything bagel toasted, he said it was very good.

Our local favorite, we’ve been here probably 200 times and they never disappoint! Breakfast burritos and coffee flavor of the day are our favorites!

It’s been 4 days since I had their blueberry cheesecake but it has a twist and I’m craving for it again. And it is my first time reviewing something here in google but you guys have to try it! Super good! 🤤❤ I had it with Strawberry Mango Smoothies! I love it!

Talk about a coffee shop that makes you smile, this is it. In addition to great coffee the lunch sandwiches were tasty and very filling. And you get a banana to boot!

Best place for coffee in HB and the food is quality also. I've never gone wrong with a breakfast burrito and the pastry I had today was a Nutella turn over that was light and flaky.

So good! I got a cinnamon roll and an orange juice here. Both were great. The cinnamon role honestly is one of the best I've ever had. I loved the seating area. There is ample space to sit and it is very quaint and homey.

Fast service. Tasty beverages and fresh eats. REALLY pleasant staff. There was a bit of a line when I arrived and I wasn’t sure I wanted to wait. But they got through it fast, and my drink was prepared perfectly. I’ll be back!!

Excellent experience. I came today to enjoy a hot 🔥 chocolate and si noticed zi forgot my wallet. Rick was so generous. He treated me. How generous and nice. Thank you Java Man!

Neighborhood Beach Joint. The BEST! All the guys are wonderful. Rick the owner is wonderful (also owns Ocean Diner on Aviation in HB). My regular morning routine. I’ve been going to Javaman since it opened many moons ago….and will continue to be a loyal neighborhood customer. Don’t hesitate to try the MorningGlory Muffin and the house flavored coffee. They will make your day!

Java Man was MADE for writers like me. It's a cool and hip, but "real" java joint that always serves great coffee, tasty munchies and big smiles. This breakfast/lunch stop-over attracts all sorts of people which makes it a great space for people watching. Me? I enjoyed writing while living in Hermosa Beach. In fact, I started my latest novel #SeductionAtDaybreak while sipping their Columbian blend and eating their breakfast burrito (just remember to ask them to cut the microwave time in half; it'll save the roof of your mouth ;-). My favorite local coffee shop! Great place to work, enjoy a coffee and a snack or quick meal. I often make it my home office once or twice a week. Thank you Java Man for giving me a reason to get out of working from my apartment all week!
