The Arbour

I've been meaning to try The Arbour since it opened back in 2017. Everyday I'd pass by it on my drive home from work, and whenever I was stuck in traffic on Lake ave, I would try to get a glimpse of what laid behind the wide-paned windows of this enigmatic (and relatively new) restaurant. Even from my car window, I could feel the warm, rustic, and inviting vibe of The Arbour beckoning me to come inside and delight in a comforting meal. My moment finally came this weekend and gosh am I impressed!

Let's start with the atmosphere ... the country style of The Arbour is on point! The incandescent lighting, high beam ceilings, and vibrant artwork all set a tranquil tone. The mood is elegant yet also laid-back, which allows one to engage in intimate conversations or lighthearted laughter with their chosen company.

Now for the food ... The Arbour provides a pure and sophisticated farm-to-table dining experience. The dishes are not only delicious, but also healthy! Whole foods - ranging from meats, grains, vegetables and fruit - are fresh and seasoned in a way that brings out their best taste. I was surprised by the beautiful presentation and generous portion sizes of our meal, which included the Beet salad, Seabass, and Shrimp Penne. Before the main course, we were even served fresh, warm bread with a dollop of garlic butter.

Everything was delectable! Gorgonzola cheese and walnuts paired perfectly in my beet salad, while the succulent seabass (the centerpiece my entree) was served with crispy polenta cakes and savory vegetables. Yum! My friend tucked into his creamy shrimp penne with relish and enjoyed it with a refreshing glass of Chardonnay.

Finally, the service was so friendly and attentive. We were seated quickly and got our order in within 10-15 minutes. Our waitress made some great dinner suggestion and even helped me create the perfect mocktail (lime and mint)!

Bottom line, The Arbour is one of my new favorite restaurants in Pasadena. I would love to come back here and try their many other exotic dishes. I highly recommend this place for a romantic date night or fun dinner with friends!

My husband and I had our wedding dinner here. It was nothing but amazing. The food was spectacular and the ambiance was exemplary for our small wedding. We reserved the front end of the restaurant and it was perfect. Nancy was so helpful in planning this and very supportive. Our guests still cannot stop talking about how delicious the food was, the outstanding service and how perfect it was for us. Thank you Nancy and staff for making our intimate dream wedding dinner come true!

Came here with a friend, and we were not disappointed. Is a bit pricey, but felt the high quality of the food was worth it. Good for date night. Definitely NOT for babies or children.

Beautiful combo of lighting & unfinished wood inside with several different style seating areas. Fresh made pasta appetizer was spectacular! Mediterranean sea bass was excellent, if a bit small. Beef brisket was absolutely delicious, although corned beef style, which our server alerted us to before ordering. Old fashioned and East side cocktails were both solid. Service was helpful and attentive. Would highly recommended for a nice dinner out.

Quite delightful experience for me. The food was alright (not as mind-blowing as we’d expected), but it was decent. I had a duck as an entree and felt like it was under seasoned and texture was not as tender - I usually like it more charred and crispy on the skin. The dessert was pretty solid in my opinion, drinks were also on point (top quality French wine selections). I really enjoyed the ambiance here, seems pretty upscale and classy though I’d hope the food could be more elevated for this type of location in Pasadena.

So great! Was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was superb and so was the service. I will definitely be coming back here for special occasions. I even noticed they have a nice private room in back for a bigger gathering one day. Bonus, I love how seasonally inspired the menu is!!!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. New to the neighborhood (moved here from DTLA) so I’ve been missing pasta from Bestia. Saw good reviews of Arbour and seems like a farm to table concept which is my favorite.

We made Saturday night reservations and the hostess walked us to our table right away. The establishment was classic yet still lively and casual enough to not feel very stuffy.

Our server Lorna (I hope I spelled her name right) was very welcoming and friendly. She recommended the crab pasta special and wow it did not disappoint! Looked so simple but literally tasted like ocean. My husband got the shrimp pasta which was also amazing! I kept eating off his plate. There were a lot big chunks of shrimp and the creamy sauce was so rich and flavorful without overpowering. Lorna also said the portions are pretty big and she did not lie! We were both stuffed and packed the leftover to go. We also got the Brussels sprouts salad which was refreshing.

For drinks I got the limoncello spritz drink and it was also delicious.

Overall we loved everything from the food & drink to the service we received. We will definitely be back!

This is the place to go for excellent dining experience. It’s my fourth time here and I still find the food and service amazing . The tagliatelle with sausage ragu, duo of duck and Mediterranean sea bass are family favorites. The striploin is rich and satisfying. We finished the meal with the blackberries with curd and almond brittle and dark chocolate mousse with raspberries. The ambiance and good service just added to my overall satisfaction.

An upscaled restaurant with reasonable price.
Food, service and atmosphere are excellent.
I was there for the happy hour (Monday to Friday between 4pm to 5: 30pm)
Ask for more bread, they are yummy.
Will definitely return to try dinner menu.

I made a reservation for 2 using the Open Table through Yelp. I showed up 5 days later and everything was great & I just had to give my name (not even show the reservation on my phone) and they seated us.

There is parking behind the restaurant but my husband and I walked.

The seating inside is best! Very nice setting and clean. The bathrooms are clean (there are 2 individual ones. A bit dim in there but you can get by).

I ordered the watermelon drop drink and it was so good (love the watermelon cube and asked for a spoon after to eat it)!

I highly recommend the appetizer tagliatelle pasta with minced beef and green onion! It was flavored sooo well (has some spice but durable)!!

They also have the potato croquette covered in bacon and cheese (sooo good)!! It was fluffy and crispy at the same time. Such an interesting and delicious texture!!!

The entree was New York Striploin (soo good and comes with broccolini, garlic mashed potatoes, and my favorite grilled garlic cloves!!

We were too full for dessert but it sounds amazing. We will definitely come back!

The servers were all really nice, checked up on us a lot, filled the water, and one even told us how she likes to dip the bread in the leftover sauce :0) it was a good idea!!

In COVID-19 age, surprisingly to find a indoor seated restaurant here. The menu was short, but excellent.
We ordered steak, burger, spaghetti, salad....
Echo one of the was simple. No fancy decoration, perfectly prepared.

Beautiful restaurant with wood accents throughout. Food was delicious and server was very attentive. Their warm bread and seasoned butter was a great start! The food came out at just the right time and drinks were replenished often. A great neighborhood spot!

Amazing staff and service. Food was delish! Will add more to review later, but just wanted to recommend this place for all your special occasions or just a night out for dinner.

-the REAL star of the show was the apple strudel and ice cream. God DAMN this is how you do desert. Do not miss out on this one

Great service and super delicious food. Our favorites were the golden beet salad and the black pepper crusted chicken (trust me, it's amazing). The Mezcal Margarita was off the hook! Hope to come back soon.

The service - was amazing they are very respectful and provide great recommendations.

The food - was delicious i definitely recommend it, their appetizers were really good as well. Major props to the chef.

Atmosphere - is very relaxed, calm and welcoming environment. Perfect for a date or dinner with the family.

Parking - is interesting during busy hours, there is street parking in front of the restaurant and there are a few around the corner as well.

Of all the places my girlfriend and I have been in the last year of dates, The Arbour has been our favorite for its ambience, amazing staff, terrific cuisine (everything was so creative and delicious), and how they’ve put it all together.

I’d definitely visit again and this is probably bound to be one of our forever date spots. Very pricey but worth every bit for the memories!

What a great find! The atmosphere is amazing: upscale yet relaxing. The food was delicious! And the happy hour prices were surprisingly cheap. $5 draft beer and a $7 burger. Will definitely be back!
