Village Runner

This is a great community store staffed by knowledgeable local runners. I have probably bought ten pairs of shoes from them and always been happy with their staff assistance, quality, and value.

The Service:
So, I dropped by Village Runner in Redondo Beach to check out some Hoka shoes. The experience? Pretty awesome. The guy helping me out was super friendly – the kind that makes you feel at ease right away.

The Hunt for Hokas:
Here’s the thing – they didn’t have the exact Hoka style I was after. But the way they handled it? Top-notch. The staff member wasn’t just knowledgeable; he was super helpful, too. He didn’t just shrug me off. Instead, he looked up other places I might find them. And get this – he explained why they don’t stock that particular style. Apparently, it's more of a walker’s shoe than a runner’s, and these folks are all about running.

The Store Vibe:
Walking into the store, it felt welcoming. They’ve got a neat selection of gear that’s clearly picked for serious runners.

My Two Cents:
If you’re on the hunt for quality running gear and appreciate staff who know their stuff, Village Runner is your go-to. The fact that they’d point me elsewhere to find what I need says loads about their commitment to helping runners, not just making a sale.

Mike is one of the most knowledgeable shoe salesman!! He works on Sundays and Wednesday and is very patient! His knowledge about shoes is extensive. He cares about the clients! This is my only go to Shoe Store thanks to Mike. We need more devoted shoe salesman like him!

My mother and I went to Village Runner for new Hokas. The owner was so kind, patient and helpful which we really appreciated especially since we showed up not long before closing! My mom ended up having to return a pair of shoes because she didn't quite like the fit and the owner took them back without question and she was able to get the size she felt better in. This store will have our business for any athletic shoes we ever buy in the future! In fact my mom and aunt are driving down all the way from Santa Clarita today just to get new shoes today!

If the name doesn't already give it away, this place is a runner's store! It's fantastic. Has pretty much anything a runner at any level needs. From shoes to energy gels, they've got it. The best part for me though is the service. No matter whose at the store, they always have a wealth of knowledge on running and it is so helpful. On top of all of that, they have running events all of the time. I haven't done any, but it definitely proves they're legit all about the run!🏃‍♂🏃‍♀

Great running shoe shop. I came in here looking for insoles for a pair of nice boots that I have and they set me up with some amazingly comfortable inserts! The customer service was great and even though the shop is small, they have lots of shoes to choose from. If you like running, you should stop by and check it out!

My daughter is a x-country runner and won't go anywhere else for her shoes. The staff asks questions about her running, then actually listens to her answers. As a result, she leaves with the right shoes at a fair price.
Bottom line: great shoes, good prices, knowledgeable & attentive staff.

Great old school specialty sport store. Owners are lovely and helpful. Going there is a pleasant and educational experience.
They just moved to this building, and it's difficult to find by street address: the Entrance is around the south side of the building, while the address is on the east side, so park and get out and walk. Street parking available: read the posted signs for restrictions.

If you want knowledgeable staff and running shoes that fit correctly, this is the place to go. They've been around a long long time, have the experience, know running, running shoes and how to properly fit them. Plus, they have a good selection of styles, brands, sizes and accessories. (First responder friendly.)

A great place where anyone can go in and they actually help you, not sell you. Everyone who works at village runner currently does or used to run and is familiar with a lot of the shoes. I highly recommend it for buying anything running related, from shoes to athletic wear

The young lady who helped me buy Hoka One One Bondi style walking shoe was very knowledgeable and professional. When I walked in the two people behind the register were to self involved to acknowledge me and I almost left. Good thing I waited for a few minutes.

Had exactly what I wanted. In and out smooth and even gave a discount. Chap is very nice, happy and delightful presence. Very clean, small store. Made my day, thank you so much ! Come again 100%

Came in today to pick up a garmin forerunner 45 . The 2 dudes that helped me out were cool. I will be coming back to get some shoes. Thanks!!

Turkey club wrap was super healthy and delicious!!!! And the chocolate monkey shake was to die for. 5 star quality and treatment hands down.

Grew up in the South Bay, and live in Salt Lake City now. I've only window shopped at VR thus far, (seems like they're always closed when I'm visiting/running the village), but I like the street view. Will actually get the inside scoop soon...
