Love this market!!!! They have a huge array of imported German foods, products, sausages, beer, and bakery items. This is a one stop shopping for all of your German food and product needs.

A great place to buy German products. The bakery is wonderful. It's very sad that as of this weekend, January 22,it is closing permanently. I amend my statement. According to the Daily Breeze they have a month's reprieve.

Take a short trip to the Bavarian village in Torrance CA. Missing Oktoberfest, hope it will be back. My first visit here and people are very welcoming and warm. Love the little shops, a one stop shop from grocery, stitching a dress at the tailor to a romantic little gift shop, handmade toys, antiques and one of a kind artifacts.

This is a fantastic market for German, Scandinavian and other European foods, meats, beer and more! My Swedish husband bought frozen sausages and German Beer as well as long hot dogs in a jar. The prices are a bit expensive, but coming to this market is a treat! I am so grateful for the variety of things one can buy! There is a cafe next to the market but it was closed. The entire Alpine Village is probably fun on the weekends, but today on a Monday, all the shops were closed. Alpine Village Market is a Los Angeles landmark!

I like going to the swap meet but this picture was on The corner of vermont andtorrance blvd. The city cleans this trash up daily but the homeless keeps bringing it over on the corner and to the water catcher . This is sad. This really needs to stop.

A hidden gem. A hug selection of sausages and worst as well as cheese and other cured meats the grocery selection is mostly German but they carry many hard to find European goodies. There is a bakery as well. Great breads and sweets for dessert. With a bottle shop located towards the back of the store loaded with an amazing selection of European beer as well as wine and spirits. The staff there are extremely helpful courteous and friendly. I definitely recommend stopping by and grab some sausages, great for bbqs.

Here in SoCal 17 years and my first visit to Alpine Village. It was a blast with Kurt Berg as the unofficial tour guide for the day! And what an amazing day! After the touring we ate lunch of Pork Schnitzel with Sauerkraut and Beets and Pork Schank with Potatoes and Sauerkraut. The meal was a perfect way to end our visit and head to Redondo Beach.

It's always a pleasure coming to Alpine Village. This was the first time as a date and to dine in the main restaurant was amazing. We came at an off time for a late lunch early dinner only one other party was there, pretty much had the place to ourselves. After our meal and beers we went to walk around the village to see the shops. Most of them were closed, however window shopping never hurt anyone. We love it and will come back for more food.

Sunday brunch is fantastic! The food is hot fresh and delicious. Omelette station, waffles with all the toppings, and all the german food you can handle. The german fried potatoes are my personal favorite

Top that off with unlimited mimosas and it's a brunch that can't be beat.

One of my favorite places in the South Bay. Fantastic selection of imported European gummies in the shop, and a very yummy cafe. Wish they had real salt and pepper shakers instead of those little packets, but that's my biggest complaint. Special tip: Order the schnitzel sandwich, which isn't specifically on the menu. You'll get one fewer side, but the roll they use is amazing.

Delicious traditional German food(and beer!) In a casual setting. Friendly service, and some outdoor seating. Everything served on disposable/to go paper and plastic ware.
Delicious schnitzel, spätzel, and sauerkraut.
Cute but mostly closed shops because of covid. Market has amazing selection of German and other Raritan and Russian goods.

Very nice place that carries more genuine items than I've seen elsewhere (locally). In fact, it's the only place where I've seen Düsseldorf's Altbier in stock.

Great selection of German beer. I personally love Munich and I visit Octoberfest every year... It's all there: Spaten, Paulaner, HB... Definitely my place for beers. Oh yeah... I'm Russian, so I love herrings too. They have it.

The deli/cafe is great with a good German beer selection as well. The market has some interesting imported food and a great pastry case.

Cute place with lots of German treats from savory to sweet. Accessories and drinkware available too. Painted decor and details throughout. The workers were friendly and helpful. They have hand sanitizer and sanitized baskets by the entrance.

Best German Lunchmeats, Breads, Pastries and specialty items around!!! We travel from Las Vegas, Nevada twice a year for our fix you cannot find this quality of European Goods anywhere around the best of the best. Owe it to yourself to try it! Also a nice restaurant and gift shops, you wont be disappointed!!! Here are a few pictures from our latest trip 9-9-18

As a German, it was a fun experience to visit this market. The offerings in the shop aren't all German, about half of it is assorted Eastern European - Polish, Hungarian, Balkans.. Fun to see some German products but they're really ordinary brands at high prices. This isn't the place to look for gourmet German products. There are meats on offer but I didn't try them. The little village was fun to walk around.

Interestingly, this place stems from the late 60s. Didn't know this. Local history

Best plum cake I had in the US! Just like my grandma used to do it back home! And fresh of the day! Tip: Go there just before they shut, you might get an extra slice for free ;)
