Ken's Shoes

I love this place. Literally spent hours agonizing over shoes for my toddler with low muscle tone and special inserts prescribed by his Physical Therapist. Walked in on Sat afternoon and the nice lady helped us size, and find the perfect pair of shoes that are supportive and accommodate the inserts. The store has a ton of inventory and great shoes like Striderites, I also ordered 11 pairs to try on from their site and should have just come here from the first place. Prices are really fair too, the same type on the website was actually slightly more even including tax. Save your sanity and just bring your kiddos in here. Parking is free and plentiful in the lot.

Had a fantastic experience! Was in and out in 10 minutes with 2 pairs of shoes for my little one. The owner wasn’t fazed by my child’s fear of the foot-measuring device and was happy to do some guesswork based on her clothing size. I’m more than happy to pay $50 a pair when they fit splendidly and will last for a while. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Even though it’s very easy to order shoes online nowadays, but little kids can’t exactly verbally their thoughts or whether something is truly comfortable beyond the initial 2 minute try-on, it’s very important to have someone measure out my kids’ feet and make recommendations based on their feet shape and the right type/brand of shoes to wear for their age. For example, the owner was able to tell me that it’s not good for a child’s feet development if you let them wear such type/brand of shoes too early, and that sole flexibility is essential for feet development when they initially learn to walk, etc. We’ve been coming here for years and are always happy with their advice and service.

Small store, but with more shoes than a big one. Tons of shoes piled sky high and really interesting stock. Really, unique shoes finds, especially when it comes to converse and vans designs. Got leather converse, my brother got grey vans with palm tree designs, and my mother got jogging shoes. Lady there is nice and knows her stuff. Plua, there are clean socks she washes for you to try shoes on just in case.

My mom took me here as a kid, now we take my kids. We love this family and store. They always measure the kids feet and give good advice. So glad you stayed in South Pasadena all these years.

i came in asking for the cheapest pair of flip flops- i wanted to take my heels off after a date. the woman who helped me was kind enough to dig though the women’s and children’s section, she also went in the back as well.

she returned with 2 good options at a great price, i picked a 1/2 size too small and realized it after purchasing. she had no problem exchanging the pair i bought for the pair that fit properly.

i was in/out within 10 minutes, i paid a fair price, and the customer service was outstanding. thank you so much!!

Yes, yes, and yes. Took my toddlers here for their 1st pair of shoes and the sales woman was incredible. She knew how to handle young fussy children and was spot on in terms of shoe selection for them. They have a variety of brands, including Stride Rite, but we ultimately went with a brand that worked best for their specific feet (See Kai Run).The hours are not the most accurate so definitely be patient with that.

If you need to get shoes for your child this would be the best place the lady that works here is very helpful and caring and I will not go to another place to get my daughter her shoes she has wide feet and I cannot find shoes for her the lady made sure that we got the shoes that we needed and my daughter is happy and loves her shoes thank you for all your help. So very grateful and glad that you guys carry stride rite shoes.

My 11yo kid has been living in rain boots for the entire pandemic--getting him to put shoes on has been a killer. We went to Ken's, and the store owner measured his foot, told him how to lace correctly, and taught me how to check properly (to maintain social distancing). What amazing customer service. The rain boots are going away until the next rainy day!

My first sentence is, "Yes"! Once comes down with children's shoes, it is so hard. I had ordered my Edison's shoes from webs and purchased from local stores. After fourth time trying, I was finally successful at Ken'Shoes. KEN'S SHOES has fittings and colorful children's shoes.

Great experience with the owner. I have bought my daughter her shoes at Ken's since Stride Rite closed all of their stores. She has a great selection of shoes. She has patience with all of the kid's.

The best thing about Ken's Shoes is that it's owned and operated by a mom who understands kids and their issues with their feet.... and the tiny place is stuffed with high quality shoes. The owner will carefully measure for child's feet, then select just what you're looking for, then cater to your kid's weird but apparently normal requests as she gets just the right fit. PLEASE do yourself a favor and skip the scammers at payless. Just go here and solve your kid's need for a decent pair of shoes that they'll actually wear.

I've bought my shoes here for the last 4+ years! The owner is really sweet and kind to help me find the shoes I like. There's actually a very nice variety of shoes spaning from Asics, Converse, Vans, Crocs and Adidas!! I got my first pair of Adidas superstar shoes and I had a great experience! I had bought the wrong size but she was understanding enough to exchange for another shoe size. I will continue going to Ken's for my shoes.

Years of friendly service. Knowledgeable shoe fitting for pudgy toddler toes to sullen teenage feet. Sneakers mostly, Vans, Chucks, Keds, Crocs, Keens, and a few other brands. It's low style but very functional store, so the prices are good too.

After sizing my son's square feet and a few minutes of shuffling thru boxes, the salesperson emerged with the correct fit (which is more than just size btw).
After choosing a color scheme we paid and were on our way.

My son summed it up best:
"that was so fast. She, like, just knew what I needed. It's like she was Ollivander with wands"

Love their shoes always find what I'm looking for. My daughter had not been their before and she really liked it love the shoes for her 4 year daughter.

I was surprised that this small store had exactly what I was looking for and couldnt find on Amazon, Zappos, or anyplace else. The manager was so helpful. I have twin girls who will be needing lots of shoes....I’ll be back!

Took 3 grandchildren. All fitted with the right size shoe. Affordable too.
