I LOVE THIS PLACE! If you’re like me and reading reviews trying to decide if you should book, stop and book now! This place is a hidden gem! Everything is very straight forward and you can book online and know exactly how much it will cost. We had the huge pleasure of having Nelly do a full head of highlights that came out absolutely amazing. She introduced us to Andrew who we went back a week later and had extensions put in. My daughter could not be happier with her hair and her confidence has skyrocketed! Thank you Nelly and Andrew for an amazing service can’t wait to see you in a few months!

I saw Robyn for my first-ever curly haircut and could not be happier! After a thorough consultation, she and Nellie diligently cut and styled my hair using the same techniques I'd use at home so the results would be reproducible. Even though I didn't have a vision going in of what I wanted the end-result to look like, Robyn asked what I wanted to prioritize most (remove length, improve health, improve curl definition). She took this and ran with it and the results were beautiful. She and Nellie are true professionals and are incredibly skilled. This was the best experience I've ever had in a salon--they've earned a client for life!

Great local salon in Culver City. 2nd time here walking distance nice place, Nelly go to barber/hairstylist I go to. Appointment only. 40-60 bucks depending on service and styles you choose. Money will spent for the hair cut I like.

I go to Silvia now. She not only gave me a hairdo for a very special night that my date actually complimented (!), she also later got out two dread-like massive knots from my very long hair! She has such patience - I was sure she'd have to cut them both out!! She also dyed my hair a beautiful shade of blonde for a long time and kept it looking healthy. She is a really kind, caring, and genuinely nice person too who does charity work for those humans in desperate need of help (such as survivors of the sex trade, the homeless, the hungry, women needing professional clothes to go back to work, etc.). She makes my hair look great and is a great person, all for a VERY reasonable cost, too. I highly recommend her!

Natasha Estrella is an incredible stylist and colorist. She goes above and beyond to discuss your hair history, what you're looking for and how she can help you achieve your hair goals, and the result is always amazing. Amazing experience at this salon thanks to Jackie! I was in California visiting for an extended period of time and needed to find someone to do a full highlight for my birthday. I am always nervous to try a new stylist but Jackie put all my worries to rest! She was extremely thorough with her consultation before ever even doing a thing to my hair. My color ended up turning out so amazing! She is so sweet and so talented!! The salon was also clean & cute! I found their pricing to be very affordable, especially for the LA area. I would highly recommend this place and Jackie to any blonde (or wannabe blonde!)

Robyn is a wonderful artist who knows exactly what you need and will spend hours on your case to make sure that you get the best treatment. She works with amazing products (she’s a Deva Curl specialist) and can even get you a discount on their line.

Beautiful salon. Robyn is the best!! She specializes in curly hair and I absolutely love her! It's hard out here for us curly girls, but she eases your way and revitalizes your curls to reach their full potential. Beautiful soul too ❤

This was my first time coming to Spruce and Cedar Salon. Right when I walked in, I was warmly greeted and offered a beverage. Natasha cut my hair and was absolutely amazing! She listened to everything I wanted and even offered advice on some things I could do with my hair. She also spent quite some time styling it beautifully for the event I had later that evening (my hair is pretty thick and requires a lot of time to style). Highly recommend this salon and Natasha if you're looking for a new stylist.

It's been a while since I've been to Spruce and Cedar Salon. Life got busy and then the lockdown happened. I thought the salon was closed, but happily discovered that they were still open. I was happier that they had a curl specialist, Robyn Friend. Before I share my experience, which was phenomenal, I wanted to share my journey.

For the longest time, I had long hair. With that came many stylists that I've enjoyed over the years, and have respect for. However, I struggled to try to express myself in the physical essence. Spiritually, I know who I am. I identify as queer, edgy, gothic, rocker punk type, and I always had a feminine and masculine essence to me throughout my life. But my hair never really reflected who I was. And the stylists beforehand were great, but they could only do what I communicated. I didn't know how to express what I wanted until I met Robyn and I was able to put it into words. I wanted an edgy, punk-rock androgynous curly cut. I didn't have an exact picture, but that is what I wanted the results to be.

Robyn understood me as she took her time consulting with me, got to know who I was, and what I wanted with my hair. She got to work and started to create magic. By the time she was done, I was in happy tears. Robyn gave me the exact curly cut that I've been searching for my whole life. It was a cut that I never had but always wanted to reflect who I truly was. The cut was unique, had a lot of edgy layers, giving it a rock/androgynous vibe, and told a story of who I was. That was a month ago. The style remained! I love this cut so much, it's my absolute fave, because I'm able to style it however I like. I may diffuse it, or let it dry naturally. It's phenomenal. I've been getting rave reviews from people I work with within the industry, and everyone told me that it makes me pop on camera. I'm sure on set, many stylists will touch my hair for roles I step into. But Robyn will always be my phenomenal go-to curly specialist. And her assistant, Nelly, is a gem. THANK YOU SO MUCH, ROBYN! YOU ROCK!!!!!

I didn't get to write a review last week due to work, but I needed to leave my review. Sooo, first of all, I didn't know this place existed until I walked by it after work at night. It's pretty new (only a few months) tucked hidden on Washington a few blocks off Sepulveda. I found my new fave. The products they use are cruelty free! Bonus points of Love right there. I was originally scheduled to go with another hairstylist but she couldn't make it that day, so I ended up going with her assistant, Arty. Let me tell you about this Man: He is a ROCKSTAR! He made my hair Awesome! Not only did my hair feel so soft and smelled great, but he took care of my unruly brass hair color and gave it a rich beautiful chocolate tone to it. It looked vibrant and stylish! I would recommend going to him hands down. Definitely check this place out guys! There are great stylists in the salon. I refer Arty anytime as I plan to be a regular!

Cute local salon. Newly opened and so unpretentious. I got a simple haircut that looks great. I just moved to the area and needed to find a regular spot. I regularly went to the Juut salon up in Palo Alto before coming to LA and only used the master haircutters there (who I also recommend). Comparable haircut and this place feels fresh. I will definitely be coming back. I think I've found my new spot!

This place is great! She really knows her stuff and can give a great cut with very little direction (I never know how to tell hairdressers what I want). I completely recommend Spruce and Cedar!
