My family and I visited Alma on a trip to Cali during the weekend of Mother’s Day, all the way from Baltimore,MD and the food and service was AMAZING! We had the pleasure of having Max take care of us as our waiter. He recommended some great food and drink options and was just an overall JOY!!!! One of the most pleasant people we met on our trip! We will definitely come back to visit Alma on our next trip to Cali! Thanks again MAX…. You are an amazing soul!

Went to Alma for some day drinks and was pleasantly surprised how gorgeous the space is for being at a shopping mall (The Grove). You feel transported to an Island vacation, and the drinks definitely support the fantasy. Got the Blueberry martini at the bar, which was tart and delicious. The service was excellent and the menus have great drawings and options for cocktails. Will definitely come back to try the food

Amazing food and our server, Max, was THE best. We went in for lunch on a Sunday (without a reservation) and were kindly seated right away. Everyone was courteous and we enjoyed our meal outside with our two pups. We could not have asked for a better experience.

this is my first time here and I come here alone. all the worker very welcome. especially my server max, he was so nice, he explain the food very well, he give me a good service and help me to take a picture 🥰. the tacos was so good. so recomended to come here guys

My mom and I had an AMAZING dinner at Alma’s to celebrate her birthday. The entire staff was lovely starting with the hostess and all the way through our visit. The atmosphere and decor was beautiful and the food was perfectly delicious, but what really made our visit special was the service we received from Salvatory. He went out of his way to ensure that my mom felt like a guest of honor for dinner that night. He was friendly, charming, and ready to give food, drink or dessert recommendations at any moment. We will definitely be back again!

I had a wonderful snack time in here. The shredded beef tacos with cheese was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. My waiter Max just made my day in this sunny day. 😎

Beautiful restaurant, the aesthetic was just wow! They have so much seating on the main floor and upstairs, both levels have patios. Alma’s location is perfect, it was really nice looking into the busy street. We only stopped by for drinks and some snacks, the guacamole was delicious. The service was impeccable, serves and hostesses were a pleasure. When visiting LA again I will definitely come back to explore their menu.

Food was incredible! Our server Sean A. recommended all of his favorites and they were all hits! He was the absolute best server I’ve ever had. If you love authentic Mexican food and drinks come here! You won’t regret it!

The food was great and the service by Max was great. He’s a nice guy and was very helpful.

1st time here for New Years dinner and I was not disappointed. I call it fancy Mexican food and a little pricey but you pay for location too. I ordered a trio plate which had carne asada, shrimp enchilada and a chile relleno. It was delicious 🤤Service was excellent, atmosphere was very relaxing. Menu is small but there is plenty of choices.

One of my great experience with Mexican food, Thanks to Aderian with his good advices and sense of humor we would definitely come back.

Had lunch here today and the food and drinks were amazing. Max was our waiter and he was the sweetest guy ever! Would recommend a stop here and don’t miss out on the spicy mango margaritas!!

This restaurant is beautiful, love the interior design and aesthetic. The food was amazing, everyone had good things to say. It is a bit pricey but it was worth it. Great service from the stuff. The cocktails were good. I would definitely go back

Wow! Amazing fresh food! Beautiful atmosphere and service was great. We sat upstairs on the balcony....ordered chicken flaunts, guacamole, and tuna tostadas. Got there at 10pm when shops closed and enjoyed till 11pm when the restaurant closed.

Also, they had stands to hold all our bags from shopping which was super nice! Placed next to our table.

I had an extraordinary dining experience at Alma restaurant! The Mexican cuisine is incredibly authentic and flavorful. What really stood out was the amazing service, especially from Adrienne. He provided excellent service throughout the meal, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Service by Bri and Armando was great. Big shout-out to them for the recommendations and conversation. Great patio, good view of the fountains. Enchiladas are 🫠 so good. Love the salsa. Honestly, just the chips and salsa taste and flavor were good enough to be a meal

Excellent place!

First off, location is perfect. At the heart of The Grove and LA Farmer's market.

Ambience is inviting. You can seat in the patio for people watching or inside for a more focused experience. Their second floor looks fantastic for dinner, so we will have to check it out.

Service - greeter was very friendly and quick in giving us options on where to sit (we opted for patio and it was an excellent choice). Our server was Max, incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fast. He added great insights on his recommendations and had good, relevant conversation while not being intrusive. Exactly the balance that you need in an excellent server!

On to the food!

Tostadas de pulpo were simply delicious! Very well prepared with limon (that's lime), generous avocado and cebollita morada encurtida (pickled red onions). Wow! Pescado al pastor was also very well prepared, the pastor sauce took me to Mexico! The rice and beans were totally on point of arroz casero (home made rice) and frijoles de rancho.

My least favorite (although the table disagreed w me) was the Tres Leches cake as it was a bit dry (presentation was excellent, just check the picture).

We will be back for more Alma for sure! What an amazing experience!

This isn’t our first visit. We keep coming back because the food and drinks are exceptional. The atmosphere and vibe feels so good. We always arrive as a large group and Alma has always accommodated us. However, this visit was extra special as our server Salvatory was just amazing. Charming, comedic and just all around the best. Very chill, informative and great with kids. Always on top of everything, as well as providing great recommendations. This place will always remain one of my top places to dine at.

Alma at the Grove. Second floor. The hostesses were very polite and helpful. The restaurant’s atmosphere was delightful. Table cloths, shiny silverware, clean glasses, the staff was very attentive and waiters were friendly. So many green plants blended between the furniture that enjoyed and relaxed my eyes.
As the lady manager stated: authentic Mexican cuisine. I asked for recommendation to choose from their menu and I wasn’t disappointed. Delicious food, great presentation and exceptional service.
I strongly recommend this place.
