Just got a haircut and highlights with Kyoko and I am so happy with how my hair came out and the whole experience! The salon is so clean and beautiful and I love that the music is calming and the whole experience just feels like you are at a spa. The head and shoulder massage was so nice and I really enjoyed how detailed and thoughtfully everything was done - the way my hair was brushed and washed, the way my preferences were heard, and the way that the highlights were applied. Definitely coming back and highly recommend!

Yuri is the best hair stylist in LA. All the other stylists seems extremely talented and professional as well. Great place.

Yuri is so sweet and a great conversationalist! She was super precise with my haircut, gave me two amazing hair washes, and a face towel.

Kyoko did partial highlights on me the other weekend and it was honestly the best salon experience I’ve ever had. They really know what they’re doing at this salon, right down to the way they wash your hair and brush it. Kyoko had a great touch and was super gentle! The atmosphere was relaxing and calm, and the whole experience felt like being at a spa. She actually listened to what I wanted and I’m so happy with the result. Often hairdressers overdo it with highlights and it ends up taking hours/being hard to upkeep. I had just gotten my haircut elsewhere so I didn’t get one this time, but I look forward to returning for all future hair services!

The studio is modern, clean, and quiet. Yuri is just amazing. Technically proficient and creative, she styles my short hair into flattering on-trend looks. She pays attention to detail and makes me feel heard when I describe my often amorphous hair-wants. I never leave without a sassy haircut that I love!

First time at Impression today and I am impressed with the service received. My stylist was Chiaki and she was very attentive and really listened to what I wanted. My color needed updating and a haircut too. She was very patient in helping me decide the right way to update my color and went over several hair color options. She was very efficient getting everything done in 2 hours. My last hair appointment took a total of 10 hours over a span of 2 days with another stylist in Westwood and charged me double what my bill came to today. Impression gives you great pricing with free parking, Japanese style service that includes a scalp, shoulder, neck and back massage. It's for a few minutes only but it's the little things that make this place special. The products used are first rate as well. If you've never tried a Japanese hair salon, go to Impression!

Impression Hair Salon does a remarkable job of being both welcoming and extremely professional. While everyone on the team brings years of experience, a keen eye for cutting and styling, and a professional manner well beyond most salons; you can also feel at home there. This is so much the case that even when living in other cities, I would move my schedule around to get my hair cut during visits to Los Angeles.

Impression hair salon is very clean and beautiful salon. I got exact I want short bob hair style. Yuri made me happy and relax, specially her head massage is amazing. Definitely recommend this salon.

Oh. My. God. I could not be happier with my cut from this stylish, friendly salon. Chiaki understood exactly the asymmetrical style I was looking for and gave me a beautiful, bouncy, stylish but not excessively trendy look. She shampooed, cut, styled, rinsed, blow dried, added a very interesting Japanese hard wax and gave me a scalp and shoulder massage for less than I've paid for a simple cut at other salons. If you're looking for an amazing salon experience for way below the normal price, you've found it.

The first picture is right outside, the second is at the Hammer Museum, after walking about 25 minutes through windy streets. I don't think my face really looks that fat, for the record but the selfie camera distorts it. Regardless, that's both sides of the cut.
