Riviera Mexican Grill

I came here after a day at the beach and ordered a drink they brought out chips and salsa which were incredible. And it took a bit to pick something off the menu as they had many great options I wound up getting the baja tacos with rice and slaw. And I was satisfied with my choice the tacos were amazing and just like the rice it was cooked to perfection. It was honestly like a home cooked meal. The patio has an amazing atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. I'm glad I wound up in Redondo Beach during my travels or I'd never found this place. I recommend anyone who passes by to stop in and try it out.

It was very busy and I understand why. We got seated quickly despite them being packed, and the food was delicious. Very authentic Mexican food. Great margaritas, and excellent customer service. It was everything you want it to be when you’re spending your hard earned money. I would definitely return.

Amazing place. Fantastic service and delicious food. Every person from the bartender to our service was the best. Seriously, this place was packed, but we still had a table for 7 and our food on the table in less than 20 mins. You guys are awesome. Thank you again.

Was supposed to be about a 25 minute late, but was only about 10-15 min. Was able to sit and have drinks for a few minutes before getting to our table. Did not take long to get our food once we ordered. The veggie burrito was huge and delicious!! So nice to go to a place that played awesome 80s music. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Everything I have tried here was delicious but my favorite plate that keeps me coming back is the pozole Verde. Staff is always attentive and nice, drinks are great made just right, definitely recommend to everyone.

Solid cantina. I enjoyed a fantastic fish (fresh red snapper) burrito served open face. ( No tortilla, served on a plate.) Everything was well prepared, well seasoned, with fresh ingredients. Low key, easygoing surf decorated hang out with a great patio.

Both the service and the food were great. The staff was attentive, ensuring a constant check-up throughout the meal without being intrusive. As for the food, it was simply delicious, exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend Riviera Mexican Grill for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience.

Tips: We came recently with a big group for brunch on Saturday, I was surprised that it wasn’t too crowded.

Such a wonderful hole in the wall! Amazing food and service. Cosme was awesome as were the other staff! They made my Mothers Day! Definitely coming back.

I did not ask the name of the waitress but brilliant service. Friendly, great communication, recommended us options, cross selling a drink to get us $10off from the offer they were running. Food was great. Guacamole was a must try.

Ahh, this was is an awesome place to eat. First time we came here I was impressed with the authenticity of the food. Second, time was even better.

Service is impeccable. Food is delivered fast, accurate and hot.

We had the Mesquite- Smoked Chicken Chimichanga and the Grilled Chicken Chimichange both with extra Mole sauce on the side! (I could literally drink their mole sauce)

The Birria Tacos are fantastic as well. (Again, I could swim in their sauce) the Birria is tender and the cheese pulls are delectable.

Went to eat there 4/29/24 the food was delicious I had a combo hard shell taco & chix enchilada. The waiter was excellent. It was 5 of us the drinks were on hit. We will be going back.

Cinco De Mayo at the Riviera Mexican Grill did not disappoint. It was packed and we waited 30 minutes past our reservation time but it was worth it. The food and Margaritas were amazing!

Fantastic Mexican restaurant! And I thought I wasn’t going to find a great Mexican place in the south bay...Voila!
The staff are very friendly and funny.
The food was fantastic and had really good quality. Crab Enchilada and Chicken Quesadillas were so good. Loved their chips.
Next time will try the Guac and Margs.
Lots of outdoor seating for Covid and now that indoor is back open, the booths are far from each other.
The bar inside was good and bartender was funny.
Parking might be an issue but the streets nearby have plenty of parking.
Highly recommend.

Met friends for Friday night happy hour and dinner @ 5:30 pm. By the time we left at 7:30 pm the place was packed with a huge waiting line. This is a popular restaurant so come early.

I went on a Monday for lunch in their patio. Service was helpful and friendly. When we asked how spicy the tomatillo, ranchero, and mole sauces were, the wait staff brought small containers of each to try. They had a slight kick and were all delicious and different. For those wanting more kick, Cholula hot sauce is on the table. I had the 2 combination with chicken enchilada with mole sauce and chicken tamale with tomatillo sauce, and all were delicious! For sides, I chose the charro beans, which had a little bacon to provide some smokiness and their coleslaw.

Love this place. Been dining here for over two decades and we still see smiling and familiar faces like Felix. The food is delicious and the margaritas are top-notch. (Medicinal too. LOL)

Service, food, atmosphere was excellent! The staff including Lady and Cosume made it a great experience!

Pretty homey feel to this place. I remember all the fun parties and dinners that took place too. The decorations make the place feel very warm- and if you're kids are bored, there is a fish tank too!
the food isn't top tier but it satisfies me, and everything just feels welcoming, which is something most restaurants fail to do.

A totally clasic unique experience...a well curated, historical "California Beach Culture" Museum and excellent restaurant...all-in-one.
Worth your time to drive to beautiful world class Redondo Beach. Make it a Wonderful Winter mini-vacation-for-the-day and bring your date or family...you won't regret it! As a matter of fact, you will never forget it!
Food is excellent, starting with the guacamole...fresh and not over-prepared. They let the wonderful avocado taste shine through.
Fish tacos? Perfection!!! Even the fried (by the Manager, Martine's suggestion...he should know...he has championed this establishment for over 20 years.)
The lobster quesadillas are not skimpy on the lobster. You get what you pay for.
Every detail has been well thought out...down to the passion fruit iced tea.
Full bar...everything! Liquor...wine and beer in vast selections.
Mood is set with tunes from great vintage tapes. Happiness: sound...sight...smell and taste...all here in spades!
A reservation is probably a good idea as there can be long lines...they're that good.
