This jewelry store helped me in a way that another jewelry store in Gig Harbor was planning on my ring. I didn't "get it" in terms of what they said, so I told them that I think I didn't completely underdtand, so I thought I needed a second opinion. Vanderveen jewelry gave me confidence. They sized my gold band and did a great job. I have confidence that they did the right thing and I will always go to this jewler in the future.

From the time I walked in with a unique design and the reassurance that they understood my wants was a 4 week turn around. Vanderveens never tried to push their wants and never tried to redesign my ring into their ideas, they listened and were very supportive. Vanderveens confidence and reassurance to meet my needs was met 100%. When the ring arrived it was more beautiful then the renderings ever gave it. I have been buying quality jewelry from this store going back 20 years when they had a store in Federal Way. The customer service is unrivaled and their costs are always the best.

I was very pleased with this Van der Veen Jewelers ! I had 3 strains of pearls restrung and they did a great job. The most important thing is they really care to make you happy.

-Did not provide written estimate so….surprise $1700 bill!

-Gave me back several pieces of valuable family heirloom jewelry in worse shape than I brought them in and then said, “It was damaged when you brought it in” and “It’s the best we can do.”

-Very shoddy work. Examples:
- $800 gold hoop earrings now DENTED AND NOT ROUND!
- $12,000 antique engagement ring…asked for beads on the inside to be removed. Returned it with JAGGED EDGES and took so much of the band that WE had to pay for re-shanking to “make it right.”

-Repair shop didn’t get it right the first, second and third time…owner still charged me for “making it right.” My family heirloom earrings are ruined.

-Owner is sarcastic and rude…said, “The customer is always right” while rolling his eyes and then arguing that he had done everything he can do to repair the damage caused by his repair shop.

—UNETHICAL and OVERPRICED!

If I could give this place a zero I would. Took my wedding ring here to get sized and was given a quote. Couple days later get a call saying they didn't realize my ring was platinum and would be twice the cost. Then another call couple of days later with a very rude man on the phone saying that they would have to send my ring out when the whole reason I took it there was to have it done in house. The guy talked to me like I was an idiot and an inconvenience. I had to come up with a solution so my ring could be worked on in house. Two days later I realized I hadn't been given a new pick up date (my original one had already passed) so I called to inquire when I should expect it to be done. I got the same rude man who I guess is the owner. He first told me that they didn't have me on file and didn't have my ring. Finally after arguing with him he said they did have it but why was I calling they just talked to me and they had a lot of jewelry to be done before mine. The guy was yelling at me and made me so uncomfortable I decided to just go and get my ring. Took it to another store and they had no problem sizing it. I will never step foot in here again. They are rude and have no idea what they are doing.

Lack of Integrity
Zero Stars. They ordered more than 10K worth of goods from our company and then have made excuses and not paid us for several years.
Makes one question how honest they are with their customers.
