We first met with Diana in March for our initial meeting to discuss our budget, cities of interest and our hard yes and nos. At first, the thought of buying a house, for us, was really scary. We didn’t know where to begin - but after having talked with Diana initially back in mid 2022 and finally sitting down with her this year and being in contact with a lender, things started to ease up. With Diana by our side, the thought of home buying being a scary thought, quickly vanished. Diana was really there for us and helped us understand a lot of things that we hadn’t even thought of. There were times when we were trying to love the house, even though there were a few hard nos about the location/home, and Diana would talk to us and remind us that we could keep looking, that the home would come and that we shouldn’t settle. After all, this is a big purchase, the biggest purchases in our lives up to this point. We submitted a handful of offers and when we didn’t get selected or even get a counter offer, Diana was always positive and made us feel that it would all be okay and that the right home would come to us. Diana asked us a lot of questions when she saw our interest in the home, which really gave us perspective that again we had not thought of. We really appreciated this the most about her.

We would have never in a million years thought that our home buying process would be so quick. Having just started our search a few months ago and being in escrow shortly after was all so surreal. Diana really made this process go by so quickly and smoothly. One of the stand out moments with Diana came when we put the offer on our current home and we made the first time home buyer mistake of only shopping for one lender. The big bank lender we chose pulled the rug from underneath us and increased their mortgage rate at the last minute. We were pretty devastated and felt trapped because we had already put an offer on the home. Diana came through in a huge way by referring her lender (late at night when we were panicking) who was able to meet our deadlines and offer a phenomenal rate--better than what we were originally hoping for!

Lastly, her personality meshed well with the seller's realtor which helped to make communication between seller and buyer seamless and smooth. We truly feel fortunate to have had such a smooth escrow with our first home. It was a bumpy start when we first started our process but that had a lot to do with the volatile housing market and low inventory more than anything.

The home buying process is not easy and you can easily become overwhelmed with so many things to remember, so many forms to fill out and so many questions that'll come up.
