Walking into Baron Elite Auto, I wasn't just looking for a used car; I was hoping to find something special, something that felt like the perfect fit. And thanks to Arian, that's exactly what I got.

From the moment I stepped onto the lot, Arian exuded a genuine warmth and enthusiasm that put me at ease. He wasn't just a salesperson; he was a car connoisseur, eager to share his knowledge and passion. He listened patiently to my needs and wants, never once pressuring me towards anything I wasn't comfortable with.

General stuff

(A few things I learned during the buying process with Baron Elite)

Car viewings and test drives are by appointment-only. Arian owns his own company and appears to be a one person operation, handling the business side, visual restoration, and mechanical work as well. However, it sounds like he sources other companies for some services like detailing and some mechanical work. While Arian works on cars acquired to bring them up to his standards for a sellable car, he is also selective about the used cars he picks up for resale.

My story

The car I bought was a 2006 Mazda 3 with 168k miles. It was in fantastic condition for its mileage and age.

I ran into a power steering issue during test drive. I parked and gave Arian a call to ask him if I should drive the car back, in case driving might make the issue worse. He said yes, and so I did that.

When I got back, Arian apologized for the issue and test drove it again with me, trying to reproduce the issue while I was there. It wasn't present, but I told him I'd be interested in the car if that issue could be resolved. Arian continued to test drive it for another few days that week. He was in frequent contact and gave me plenty of detail with his diagnostic considerations and research. While initially he thought the electric power steering pump might be an issue, he finally diagnosed it as a battery issue. He actually offered to change the power steering pump too, but I declined that because he went into details about his weak battery diagnosis and I agreed with his debugging steps.

A few days later that same week, Arian offered to come out to Covina where I live to pick me up. This was above and beyond service from me, and it was also reassuring because he came and did it in the Mazda 3. It was a huge show of confidence in his solution because he was driving the car 25 miles round trip. He also showed me the odometer and he had put around 200 miles on the car in the few days since my test drive to attempt reproducing the power steering issue. I've worked on a handful of cars in my life and reproducing inconsistent issues like that is a pain.

Today

It's been just over a month since I got the car. I've driven it over 1000 miles with no issues. That's not to say I expect 0 issues. This is a high mileage used car, and all car parts break down, eventually. What I can say is that Arian has been very up front about the past issues and what he and the past owners have done to address them. He provided a personal level of service that I would have never expected in any car buying experience, let alone a used car buying experience.

I highly recommend Baron Elite and would go back to shop from Arian for future cars. I did get a great deal on my car, but more than that, I actually think I got the best condition car that I possibly could've gotten for the price I paid.

A couple last thought tips:

- Do note that you'll pay sales tax on top of prices you see. This is normal for dealerships, but I've only bought cars off Craigslist or from friends and family before. He also does take care of the paperwork though, so you don't have to spend half a day going to the DMV like with a private sale (plus more time for a smog check).
- Arian puts car tours of his inventory on Youtube. Watch it so you can see it all in detail before you go in. He's thorough in the videos, and it gives you a chance to spot for anything you might want to inspect closer, or ask questions about.

I am glad we purchased the Lexus from Baron Elite. The experience has not been without some bumps but, as life is, we expect bumps. The good thing is that all were nicely smoothed out by Arian. I feel fortunate to have had a pleasurable time with Arian and would heartily recommend him and Baron Elite to anyone looking to get great quality and genuine traditional value in a auto purchase experience. Arian made the process of buying a used car simple and frictionless. I don't know why other dealers still insist on the unpleasant negotiation charade, but I'm happy to report that Arian was highly transparent with his pricing from start to finish.

Well how to begin the review... Arian was a interesting guy when i met him. Very calm and mellow and very patient. Any question you have for him, he will answer with all honesty if he knows it. If he does not, he goes and finds out for you. As well gives you every detail he can find about the car you are wanting to buy. Well, thanks to him, I was able to buy my very first car with no issues on his behalf (and even waited patiently for me to get everything figured out from the credit union and all the issues they were giving me..). He was getting offers all day on the car, as well for more, but he still kept his word and stayed true with the deal we had arranged. He is an excellent person and very true to his word (which is hard to come by from any dealership). I would buy my next used car and highly recommend anyone to purchase from him. Honestly cant say enough about how amazing Arian and Baron Elite are. I recently bought a 2011 VW GTI from him, and it was painless.
