VCA Central Animal Hospital

Fantastic experience today at this hospital. The staff here was so incredibly nice. Starting at the front desk, the smiling receptionists greeted me as soon as I walked in through the door. I was checked in within one minute, and was placed in the room with my bird within five minutes. The vet tech, I think her name was Jada, was funny, friendly, and so sweet to my bird. She even told my bird she was pretty. Brownie points with this daddy :) I was loving this place already. Then Dr. Ho did the exam and he's a total pro. There were certain key words I was looking for and he nailed all of them. This was the expertise I was looking for. Outstanding doctor. Then upon checking out the front desk was attentive and kind, yet again. I wish this place was a human doctor's office so i can make an appointment for myself. This hospital exceeded my expectations and very much worth the 45 minute drive to get here. I'm telling everyone about this hospital!

Thank you so much VCA Central Animal Hospital, my son's hamster was sick and dying, my young son wanted to know if a doctor could help him survive, I already knew he was going to pass but I had to take him in so my son could here it from a professional. The Doctor was really passionate and sweet in regards to the situation.. explained it to my son in terms he could understand that a 2 yr old hamster is in his elder yrs and these things are common, our hamster had a tumor and was dying.. he gave us options so we took the one that put him to sleep and we took him home and and buried him.. I'll definitely come back for any animal care again... thanks so much..

I’ve been here twice and they are always professional, empathetic and overall an amazing staff. The first time was for my newly adopted kitten whose sutures from the spaying had opened up & she developed a hernia. The doctor who operated was very kind. The second time visiting was unfortunately because of our senior german shepherd, who was having trouble breathing. I called 5 hospitals and none of them were able to help. One of the hospitals didn’t even have oxygen available. Until I called VCA Central and they immediately told us to come in. Sadly, it was our dog’s time to go, she was 15. The staff was thee very best during this hard time & made our last moments very special. I highly recommend bringing in your furbabies!

I have nothing bad to say about this place… They saved my boy!! In June, Panther ended up having Bladder stones. We had rushed him to an ER vet who charged us over 3k just for Exam, X-rays, a Catheter, and overnight hospitalization… they were quoting us 9k for surgery. We were devastated because we couldn’t afford that. We had him hospitalized overnight and the next day we began calling other vets to ask if they had space to take his case and how much it would cost. We had bad luck with over 30+ different vets in the LA Area. I was scared until I seen VCA Central. This was the last vet on my list to call, so I called. The receptionist was absolutely amazing and understood my stress about my baby. They were able to take Panther’s case. We immediately picked him up and transported him to VCA Central to which they took him in straight away. Dr. Falco was very informative about how things would go and reassured us that he would be in the best care. When it came to pricing, we knew it would still be expensive as frenchies need to be intubated a certain way, but their staff did the absolute best to work with us on the pricing. We knew our boy was in good hands. Within hours after dropping him off, we got the call that everything was successful. We were relieved, our baby boy was going to be just fine. The next day we were able to pick him up and the techs there were great and informed us on aftercare as well as a possible diet change for him to thrive. He is now almost fully healed and thriving. VCA Central saved Panther’s life and I can’t thank them enough for that.

My poor doggy vanessa was suffering from giving birth and was feeling weak. We called every place possible to see who can take her in and help her out and Many couldn’t or they would charge too much where we couldn’t possibly pay. Luckily and thankfully enough VCA animal hospital gave me an alternative and discounted many things to make it affordable for us, and I was so happy and grateful of them ! They took her in very quick and helped her out and informed and updated us every single moment. At the end everything came out perfect and they were nice to us. They gave us everything we needed to take care of our pet and told us to contact them if anything. I am taking all my pets here now and recommending every single person I know to go over here as they truly care for your pets. I’m so happy she’s alive and well, time for her recovery.

Overall the staff was attentive and caring to my baby. You truly felt the love and care they have for animals. Unfortunately, they are not equipped with everything needed for some emergencies.

Doctor Johnson and Ho are great veterinarians! Doctor Johnson cared for my parakeet, CreamPuff. He was very gentle with her. Doctor Ho cares for my dog, Miley. He gives us great advice and is caring.

Jonathan Ho, DVM is very professional. He did a detailed inspection of my turtle, gave professional advice, and taught me a lot of turtle breeding advice. Thank you very much for his help!

Came here late one night when my Labrador was in severe pain with an extremely bloated stomach. He was diagnosed with lung cancer a month before and given three months at most by my regular vet, so I knew the end was coming. The two ladies (nurse and doctor) whose names I'm sorry to forget were extremely kind to both my dog and I during an incredibly difficult time. They made sure his last moments were enjoyable with treats and perfectly peaceful when the end came. His body will be donated for free to the WAVE program at Western State University to help train new veterinarians. I'm extremely thankful for the staff here.

My daughter and I want to thank everyone at VCA Central AH for the swift attention (01/26/22) towards our beloved cat, Binx. From the moment we arrived, to him taking his very last breath, you showed us how much you truly care. Your kindness and compassion made this very difficult process for us, a loving one. I Went here to put my kitten down, after a very hard decision to put her down for her rather than keep her alive for me, VCA Not only was kind to me but they treated my kitten like she mattered.

They went above and beyond what they needed to do going out of their way to make things easier. I got her ashes back today and even bringing me the ashes she held them carefully and thoughtfully. I will never go anywhere else when I bring another animal into my home.

Here is a place where a pet’s welfare far exceeds the almighty dollar and deplorable greed I’ve experienced in abundance up until now. Dr. Johnson is meticulous, detail oriented, brilliant and so willing to go the extra mile to ensure YOUR pet’s wellbeing and your clear cut understanding of the current medical situation you and your pet are facing.
His staff is amazing (Kimberly, Liz, Eric, Jennifer, Angela, Isabel and the entire team are friendly, professional and top notch at what they do.

We've unfortunately had A LOT of medical emergencies with our French Bulldog over the last year, and VCA Central has been there for almost every single one. He's had countless bouts of GI issues, including an episode of vomiting and diarrhea with severe abdominal pain that scared us both, but VCA Central was there to help us every step of the way. Dr. Johnson has always been kind, patient, and great at explaining everything to us, and helped our Frenchie get back to his health happy self. When our baby had a terrifying neurologic episode several months ago, we thought we might lose him, but everyone at VCA Central was so kind and helpful, even recommending a fantastic neurologist to us when they knew he needed more in depth treatment. They are our go-to hospital whenever one of our fur babies gets sick, and we are always going to be grateful for them. As far as cost, they are on the slightly pricier side, but I firmly believe you get what you pay for, and I have never felt pressured to spend money on anything unnecessary here. Everyone from the front desk staff to the technicians to the doctors are absolutely amazing.

Dr. Kim Kessler took great care of my Atlas, communicated with me before and after his procedures, recommended the best treatment, and when everything was done even gave him a BRAVERY Certificate.

The staff and nurses were also wonderful and exhibited great communication. Everyone really showed a lot of compassion for my doggie.

Sadie is three weeks out of her knee surgery and is right on recovery schedule. Dr Beeley did a super job and Dr Kessler has an incredible demeanor with animals. Can't really compare with prices as our usual is shots and other routine things with our cats and dog. The facility is spotless and we had positive responses and attitudes from every staff member we encountered.

To the staff at VCA animal hospital. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to give you a special THANK YOU. In February our family lost our pug Muffin which was devastating but I can tell you this with the whole staff giving us such wonderful attention to our heartbreak it made the process less painful. From the guy who received muffy that night to the people who prepared her paw print for a mold for us to have with her ashes you all helped heal our hearts. For anyone that needs these kinds of services VCA ANIMAL HOSPITAL is the BEST. Thank you again and I appreciated the card and all the compassion you gave us ❤

Out of all the emergency hospitals I have visited because of my dog’s sudden health situation, this has been my favorite. Over the phone, the staff was very patient and allowed me to tell them all of the details regarding my dog’s situation. They allowed me to bring her in immediately and were incredibly kind. The prices were higher than they originally estimated but at that point I didn’t care because they were the only place that were able to successfully help my dog.
I brought my dog in for a vaginal mass removal and they treated her with so much care. They had to have her at the hospital for a while but they would make sure to call me to tell me she’s doing great. The vet that treated her was Dr. Ho. But the best staff member there was a younger man with glasses and short hair. I didn’t get his name but he was incredibly kind, caring, patient and informative. He was the one who gave me back my pet at the end of the day with her medicines and invoice papers. I wanted to cry with how pleased I was with their patience, helpfulness, and care. Thank you.

Dr. Glenda the best. After waiting 6 hours on a Sunday at another urgent care, I called VCA Upland at 630pm and she agreed to take us as her last patient before closing. She was thourogh, loved my girl, and treated her bilateral ear infections. She also detected a heart murmur that had not been detected before in my 3 year old goldendoodle. Waiting referral to cardiologist. Live in the mountains, regular vet up here, closer to home. I will only take my girl to VCA Upland in the future for any after hour care, even though there are closer after hours urgent cares. Also, Dr. Ho at VCA Upland saved my girls life 3 years ago after a pitbull attack. Excellent vets and all the staff have been wonderful. I highly recommend VCA Upland!!

I went as an emergency, my dog was not acting as her usual self. And even tho I waited about 2hrs to be seen (did not have an appointment) the doctor was so nice and explain to me everything, overall made me comfortable with the decisions that needed to be made that day. After a few hours(dog needed some testings). We were able to go home with medicine and it’s now going to be a week and my dog is doing great. The staff is very friendly and communicate well. I will be returning back to this place. Another plus are the prices, they are a bit lower than other emergency pet hospitals/clinics.

I’ve been to a lot of different vets and this one is the best by far. The staff and the dr are so professional, attentive and knowledgeable! Never felt so comfortable leaving my pet somewhere. Highly recommend!

We took our 4 month old Daniff puppy because no one else I called could take him as a walk in on a Sunday morning. He had a weeping, oozing sore on his throat. We were seen after about an hour and a half, which I thought was pretty good for a walk in on a Sunday. the techs were kind and caring from the moment we walked in. When the vet came in to see him she got right down on the floor with him so he felt totally comfortable with her. She did not want to give him systemic antibiotics because he is so young and instead gave us a wash and topical antimicrobial to treat it. The price was surprisingly affordable. I tried to avoid this clinic because of the poor reviews, but ended up there anyway because we had no other choice. I'm grateful that we did! Thank you VCA!!
