One day I hope to be able to raise my own chickens, both for meat and for eggs. But that train hasn't pulled into the station yet. So in the mean time I try and look for the best places to source my meats and right now one place that's got my attention is Freshway Marketplace in Upland, CA. Tucked away in the heart of the Inland Empire, Freshway is a real gem. The meat is remarkably delicious and thus meets (pun intended!) not only my gastronomic standards, but my ethical ones as well. If you're anywhere near the IE, don't be fooled by its outside appearance; the meat is top quality. And while the owner, Ahmed, doesn't always have every single cut of meat, I have found he's more than willingly to accommodate your requests and can generally acquire what you want.

Great food. But if you're in a hurry call ahead of time they stick to traditional process. Flavor on point food and 🍚 on point its the real thing.

Love this market specifically for the meat department. Their meat is always fresh and competitively priced. The butchers are friendly and accommodating. Definitely a plus being able to have my meat cut and packaged the way I want it. Overall, the store is relatively clean and organized. Great service as well! The owner is kind and humble, and he always treats his customers like they're all his long-time friends.

I love the chicken shawerma plate or sandwich there! Excellent quality and reasonably priced. The service is very good too. The place is clean has a good variety of middle-eastern & some international products and groceries. The staff is friendly, bilingual/multi-lingual) (English & Arabic, some staff speak Spanish/English as well) and take care of customers in a timely manner.

Great Food at the to go counter! We ordered the chicken kabob plate and loved it. We haven't found a Mediterranean to go place since we moved from LA. It's great to have this on a night when you don't want to cook but want a well balanced meal! We loved the chili sauce on the hummus a nice addition and we really liked the rice. We will definitely be back!

The shop owner was very respectful and polite. He treated me with so much respect. Nice mini grocery store.

We shop at a few meat stores once a week and this is one of them. It's a nice store, pretty clean and has good meat selections. They also have middle eastern, Indian/ Pakistani spices, and fresh produce. If you're hungry you always order kabob from their kitchen, buy 1 get the second plate for half price, so for $15 you get 2 kabob plates, good deal.

Wonderful market!!! The store is under new ownership so the old negative reviews should not apply. Great variety of middle eastern groceries (fresh and frozen), fresh meats, and produce. The owner is very friendly and the butcher is very accommodating. The market (and meat area) is also very clean.

Great for dried and canned goods and spices. The best quality meat at reasonable prices.

The to-go food deli has the BEST Falafel. And the chicken shawarma sandwich is amazing. Surprising that the best Mediterranean food hands down is at this small market. Definitely recommend.

They have a great selection of hard-to-find mediterranean and middle-eastern, foods. Small, clean store with a knowledgable butcher and helpful, friendly service. Try the fresh hummus. It is the best I've ever had!

A good go-to place for Mediterranean food products, and for Arabic style dining. Both are very good and the new owners and very helpful and respectable.

You must visit this place at least for the meat section. The not only have fresh beef, veal, goat, lamb meat, but have prepared meat like kababs etc and they also make kababs for the customers.

My new favorite store been in LA for 3 months and glad I found it. Meat is perfect.
