Thank you la dcfs, as much as people complain and I can complain, well done and I thank god los angeles dcfs saved my daughter and me from not loosing each other.

if you care so much about child safety can't you care a little more about your review? you have children that don't belong to you and parents are worried, can you not at least get a 4 or 5 star to show you really do care about children, I find it hard to belive if dcfs did everything to ensure safety that hey would have a 1.6 star rating. please help everyone by increasing your stars to a 5 star review.

This dcfs office helped me contact my social workers manager in Pasadena and find my daughter out in Santa Maria and bring her to see me according to court order in Ventura county. The visit helped get her off infant formula onto toddler formula now thumb sucking and switching to regular drinking cup. This visit was so valuable for her health and well being milestones for her age. Dcfs is a good company when parents feel safe, please help us parents feel more safe and not worry so much the way dcfs los angeles helped me get a hold of my visitation rights court ordered.

If you're reading this and are looking for a way to actually assist children and their families in need, please contact the dept to help sponsor/co-sponsor a family for the holidays. Supermarket (ie, WalMart) gift cards can go a long way in helping a child and his/her family actually have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. There's so much more to the holidays than just receiving a toy-- a family meal with leftovers in the fridge and a home w/working utilities are things many of us take for granted. Ask your friends and family to get together and sponsor a child, siblings or an entire family as your birthday or holiday gift.

I understand the frustration the public is having with this gov't dept. Instead of blasting them on your keyboard, step up and actually DO SOMETHING! I am sure every social worker starts out wanting to do good and is very conscientious, but we all know how govt institutions work. They are almost set-up to fail people, esp those in dire need. While it's fine for us to complain, we shouldn't do so unless we are also doing something to help. HELP. It's like complaining about elected officials but never bothering to vote! Taking several wrapped children's gifts w/labels for "Boy or Girl" and age range to my county's DFACS center in December 2007 began a personal tradition that has brought me much joy. Finding toys and children's books on sale throughout the year to gift at the end of each year brings indescribable joy to both participant and recipient.

Answer to all the complaining against the DFCS about having an assigned trained CASA "Court Appointed Special Advocate" to help the overload of DFCS child Social workers. Believe me it will be a less stressful load and a Blessing with a peach of mind for the 'Voiceless" children and teens included. I know I am a former CASA for 4 year's it was an honor to serve these sensitive case's of Children who were either neglected or abused. And with a CASA were closely Court monitored with an assigned "Court Appointed Special Advocate" (CASA). There is always an answer for those who can't defend themselves a CASA is a "Voice for the Voiceless" folk's.

Yessenia was beyond helpful to me and my family. She has also handled our situation with such Grace, care, and tact. Our family wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for her and her dedication to her role. Thank you so much, Yessenia. We are forever indebted to you.

I was Sent here little after my Biology Father got out of WW2 leaving from Illinois, to California, My Moms, and Father were heavy Drug users, and I was adopted around or before 1982, and was place here, until family adoption Ms Ethel Boler, and Roy boler, knew God, and save my life through Christ, I loved my parents but never understood why I was a Veteran Child who was also molested.
