KJ Korean Tofu and BBQ

So delicious and great friendly service!
Really generous servings and super tasty food. I love spicy food but when I asked for the spicy kimchi tofu stew the owner was like are you sure? I recommend getting the normal and not asking for extra spicy 🥵🌶😝

Really delicious and large portion of the galbitang too.

My wife can't stop talking about this spot and how good the galbitang was and now all other places are compared to the bar set here.

We will definitely be going back when we are in town to this little gem!

This is my favorite Korean tofu soup place. The food is always delicious and packed with flavor, but I will note sometimes the ribs are less meaty but I would say less so. The owner is very nice, but not always the server. They’ve been variable but this most recent time the female server did not have a friendly demeanor. Normally when I go to tofu houses they give me an raw egg to put into my soup when they serve it boiling. I thought this place did too and asked her about it to which she replied they do upon request. She then walks away and I’m wondering why she didn’t offer me an egg because I obviously asked about it and said I thought this place also served the raw egg as well. Anyways the owner did a much better job at waiting tables. He’s always so friendly and polite. Refills our water without us requesting a refill, brings us hot tea when we didn’t ask. I am still giving this place 5-stars because the food is great even if the servers are not. I just greatly enjoy the kimchi tofu soup and don’t know where else I would go to satisfy that craving.

Awesome service! The owner of the place came to serve us and he was kind and friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic. The tofu is better than BCD. I had the kimchi tofu soup with beef and boy did it taste good. Not too spicy and very flavorful. I've been looking for Korean food around this area and my wish came true. Taking my parents here next week. There's outdoor seating for covid 19. Prices are reasonable. Ohh I also had the kimchi pancake and it was nice and crispy. Would definitely come here again. Recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Korean food or just something good to eat.

Quick takeaway: get the spicy pork. It comes with all you can eat kimchi sides. It rocks.

Food was delicious! Staff were very nice and the owners introduced themselves to us and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. Our server, James, was incredible, he helped us choose our dishes and was very quick to serve us our sides, waters and main meals. Restaurant was clean, comfortable and we especially appreciated the filtered water they provide. Food was flavorful and delicious!

Amazing food and service! We were on the windy side so a worker brought out a heater. The tofu soups are wonderful, we will be coming back for sure

Love love love this place! The food is hands-down amazing, service is great, and it is super cozy inside. It was great for a last minute date night and general night out. Never had anything to complain about! The combos of the soup and entree is the best route, you get the best of both worlds!

The Gal-bi-tang is to die for. Must have. Everything here is good. Needless to say, best Sundobu in the area too.

Small shop but BIG service. Portions are great for parties of 2 or more. Please try the japchae with whatever main course you order.

We have been wanting to try Bim-bi-bap for the first time and the host ensured we ate to best of flavour possible. The gochujang was not spicy, almost sweet, but went well with the bowl.

Most importantly, I'm from out of town and been to a lot of places that rave about their banchon but fail to deliver; this place does not. The spicy cucumbers and bean sprouts were my favorite and the fishcakes and kimchi were my gitlfriends.

If I come back to Pasadena, I want to try their Hot Tofu or Short Rib soup.

The food was amazing and spot on, the staff are friendly and they are working hard to serve us and attend us to our satisfaction. I've dined here 2 times this week and really enjoyed the food. Rice Cake Tofu was perfect and I will gladly recommend this place to friends and family! Highly recommend you take some patience with you because It can be a full house after 6 and the restaurant did just recently open up. James and Jocelyn were my servers those night's, try to request them when you come in for the perfect night!

First time coming here and the food is delicious. Ordered the LA galbi and not only did the food come fast, the service was quick and efficient. It really feels like the the owner of the restaurant cares about his customers and provided me with a legendary experience. Would definitely come back and bring more people!

Finally a good Korean restaurant in the area. When you're tired of Korean BBQ and you want some wholesome food this is the spot to go. It's not quite ktown level for each dish, but very close. And based on the location, five stars all the way. Good food, good service, solid grub. 👍

This is my favorite place to get Korean food 🥘 the people working here are always extremely nice and the food is AMAZING. To those who love spicy food, like really spicy food, I recommend getting one of the tofu soups with the highest level of spiciness. It’s delicious!

So happy to have this New business in our neighborhood. Food flavors were excellent, much better than other local Korean places I have tried in the San Gabriel Valley, it is clean and has some parking rear area. I will be coming here often

Attentive and friendly are what I would describe the servers! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS is what I’d describe the food! Wow! Galbi, the bulgogi, mmmm kimchi fried rice, the banchan (the fish cakes are my favorite!), dumplings, the soondubu, mmmm mmm yes please! If you’re in the neighborhood or in town, please do stop by! Their prices are reasonable and the portions are generous! There’s no way you’ll be hungry after eating here!

I love this place! I go here all the time with my family. The staff is very friendly and I love the food. I always get the BBQ with assorted Tofu. You have to try them out you'll love it.
