Harbor Greens

I absolutely LOVE this store! They have great produce, meats, and delicious deli selections. They also carry food allergy friendly products. I'm gluten free, dairy free so shopping gets tough sometimes. I can always find something I need or want here!

After having the best vegetable soup ever and a wonderful warrior sandwich with thinly sliced cucumber and avocado and turkey and bacon YUM then I got the cutest succulent plant and it was bigger and cost less than the store I usually go to and another have to have it....plant and of all things... a pink pot to it in and I found delicious dried soup mixes that have a clear package so that you can see all the spices and the and the organic apples were a dollar a pound cheaper and the mango and avocados were cheaper than my regular health food store. Love love the store

Harbor Greens is a fine foods grocery store with two locations; Gig Harbor and Tacoma. Chad Roy and Scott Teodoro opened their Gig Harbor store in 2007. They opened the Tacoma location at University Place in 2013.  I make a point of visiting at least one if not both of these stores every time I visit Gig Harbor,  which is at least twice a year. These photos are from my visit to the UP store in September 2022.

In addition to carrying high quality, and hard-to-find products, Harbor Greens has the best produce I’ve ever seen. In the summer, 70% of their fruits and vegetables come from nearby farms.

Harbor Greens has a popular deli where you can order hand crafted sandwiches, salads, and soups. The UP location has a larger dining area with seating for 28.

Love this store! Some of the best meats you'll find in Pierce County. Reasonably priced and the sales are awesome! They make incredible sandwiches as well and everyone is always friendly. One of my favorite places to shop in the Tacoma area.

Wow great first experience I can’t believe I grew up around here and never stopped by and gave it a try. The groceries where what was expected but the plant stock and sandwich bar blew me away. I don’t think I will ever visit University Place again with out stopping by.

John in the Deli was so nice in making sure the cheese for my charcuterie cups was cut perfectly!! Such a cute store with excellent service they have a great selection of craft beer and tasty in house soups go check them out!

Love this neighborhood grocery store. Very helpful employees. It stocks hard to get items like Japanese mayo (Kewpie), imported dry Italian pasta and gourmet Thai peanut sauce. Also, their fresh produce section beats all other grocers, hands-down. Always fresh from local growers. It's like going to a farmers market.

Staff was awesome 👏 love how they check all the fruits and vegetables to make sure they are actually okay to sell, the meat is all fresh and cut up nicely, you don’t have to worrie about wasting any of the meat . Thank you harbor green for such a nice store !

I’m stunned! Fantastic products, produce, flowers, deli bar, pizza, gifts, wine! And here I thought it was a hardware store

The folks at Harbor Greens, especially Scott and Erica, did me such a solid when I needed a quick gift for a friend in the area. I currently live abroad, so had no way of picking out flowers and treats in person, but Scott went above and beyond to give me a video call and helped me pick some beautiful tulips, wine, and baked goods for my friend to pick up. You cannot get that kind of service from a big chain store, and that's what makes Harbor Greens so special!

They were all friendly and helpful. We got sandwiches, which tasted amazing. I got The Green Monster with no tomatoes. I'm very happy we went there for lunch. Got some interesting sounding cheese. Not sure what to do with it but I'm excited to try it. Got a pair of funny/ironic socks, all in all, it was a good experience. The sandwich was quite large, but that didn't bother me, it was delicious.

Nice selection of beers, and ciders. I like that there are so many local options here.

One of my favorite grocery stores around with some of the best prices on fresh fruits and vegetables. Their meat section can be on the pricier end compared to your chain stores, but the quality is top-notch and the weekly sales and discount cuts will mean there's always something good to find.

I really appreciate this place. Great selection of produce; beer, wine, and harder options; solid meat counter, and superb deli. Pricing ranges, so pay attention and comparison shop. With Fred Meyer and Whole Foods nearby, Harbor Greens has carved out a well-deserved community market niche.

Top quality produce, prices competitive with Tacoma Boys, no more samples since the pandemic. Top quality veggies, sometimes a good deal on the dollar shelf, sometimes a great deal on wine. Currently the only place I can get chanterell mushrooms. Hey great prices on bell peppers, 4 yellow for a dollar

Harbor Greens always has the most beautiful plants, amazing deals, delicious fresh produce, and wonderful employees!!

I needed to order 75 lunches for a work event. We are a non-profit and had a budget we needed to work within. I spoke to John at the Harbor Fresh deli. Not only did he work with me on choosing options, accommodating special dietary needs and working within our budget, but he was wonderful to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. And the food was outstanding! Highly recommend them for great food and excellent customer service.

Love their homemade sandwiches and when i stopped they had huge avocados on sale 3 for $1. Awesome little place wish there was one close to my house.

I love this store. If you are looking for something special to eat or gift or drink, this is the place. They make fabulous sandwiches! I usually get all my meat here. Now if you are looking for wine, this is the place! Fresh fruit , vegetables and sweets galore!
