Cannery Row Inn

Our stay this last weekend was very pleasant. I brought my wife to get out of the house for our wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The room amenities were enough for us and we loved being so close to the beach because we kept walking down to Cannery Row to take in the sights and have lunches at the beach. I loved the decor in the bathroom. The manager David provided great service. He told me where there were some local gyms I could check out because me and my wife love to stay active even as we travel. He also provided a list of great dinner options in the area, including El Torito, which was just down the street. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway. Cute room has a microwave, fridge, & balcony. We could hear the ocean waves roaring during the night. That’s how close it is to cannery row! Our stay was very comfortable and the staff was super friendly. David gave us some great recommendations for dinner. Highly recommend this place. It’s got it all, affordable, great location, friendly staff, and clean. Everything is gucci rice crispy.

We honestly had the best experience at this hotel. Very clean and is not so expensive for being right next to the wharf!!!! My husband and I were going to reserve at holiday inn but they reserved someone else when we had paid for the hotel already.. we got our money reimbursed and called cannery row and they were quick to help us get a room and wayyyyyy cheaper ❤ will be coming to stay at this inn more often

For what you pay for, it's fantastic. We stopped in Monterey on a drive down the coast and didn't want to spend a ton on a room we wouldn't be in much. Walking distance to everything - including a beach, good food, and more. Spacious room with a fridge, comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location, walkable to the aquarium and to everything of interest, to food and cafes. Staff is very polite - we arrived much earlier than check in, and they gave us a parking pass immediately, and let us use it for a few hours after check out. Rooms are dated, but very clean, and surprisingly sound proof.

Overall, if this is available, book it!

The rooms aren't great, especially the cheaper ones. Spring for the more expensive fire place rooms if you go. Otherwise it's in a great location. Its hot chocolate machine is somehow the best I've ever had. Love this town.

This hotel is seriously a hidden gem! My husband and I stayed in the king sized suite with fireplace and partial ocean view for 2 nights on Thanksgiving week (Room 120). There is so much to love about this place: 1. The price is affordable esp compared to the other crazy expensive hotels nearby, 2. The location is so perfect with the beach and Cannery Row across the street. The Monterey Bay aquarium is a 10-15 min walk, 3. The room is very clean, 4. There is a nice sized fridge and microwave, 5. The fireplace is nice. You can have the heat on or off. It warms up the room quickly so we just put the fireplace on for ambiance, 6. TV is nice, 7. The bed and pillows are nice, 8. The balcony has chairs to enjoy the ocean view. I posted photos of the view in the morning, afternoon, and sunset, 9. You are close enough to the ocean to hear the waves crashing and sea lions, 10. Staff is friendly, 11. Free parking which never happens at most hotels, 12. Easy check out where you just drop your room card in a box. We will for sure stay here in the future! I highly recommend this hotel.

I want to start this review by saying I was not confident in how nice this hotel would be. From the pictures online, they rooms do not look as nice as they are. This hotel is about 15 minutes walking distance from the aquarium, has a walking path right behind it to coffee, food, the beach and cannery row. I was skeptical even driving up to the hotel and checking in, until I opened the room door and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are big and spacious and are perfect for families with small kids. We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect. The beds were so nice and comfy, the room was very clean and had just the basics which was all we needed. It had more then enough plugs and even USB plugs. We will Definitely be coming back our next vacation. It's perfectly located, decently priced and was so comfortable.

I booked this location because of the proximity to Cannery Row and the aquarium and the fact that it was one of the few places that had two rooms available for the days of our visit.

The rooms are minimalist as far as decor, but very clean and well maintained. It's within walking distance to the Aquarium and a large variety of restaurants and shops as well as the harbor and a few beaches. No views, really, but a good value for the price.

We have now chosen this hotel twice within 12 months and would absolutely stay here again. It's well worth the price for a clean and comfortable room.

Excellent Location! Easy walk to Cannery Row shops, restaurants, the bay, Aquarium, and Fisherman's Wharf. Clean rooms and halls.

Recently stayed at Cannery Row inn and can honestly say it’s been one of the best experiences, staff and manager were very helpful and friendly, David was really helpful and recommended a lot of good places to explore in Monterey, would definitely recommend

This was an amazing place to stay I loved the hospitality and cleanliness of this hotel would reccomend to anyone looking for quality stays.

Abraham helped us so much came here for my birthday weekend and recommended so many beautiful sites and great places to eat very polite gentlemen, definitely will be returning here they make you feel like home .

My stay was in late February and I loved every part of my stay. The Front Desk staff were extremely helpful in recommending destinations for spectacular sight-seeing. The location of the hotel was ideal as we were able to walk to these locations with ease. I enjoyed my stay, but found myself furthermore grateful when I realized I had forgotten my necklace in my room and Jennifer (Who is kinder than a koala) acommodated me by both locating it and arranging for it's delivery to my home. Exceptional service from check-in to even well after check out!

David was very helpful and answered all my questions. Would definitely come back again :)

Very friendly staff. The location was awesome. We were able to walk to the aquarium in under 15 minutes. There is a beach across the street and we were able to hear the sea lions and the waves from our room. What a wonderful adventure. We were hesitant at first because it was only rated 2 stars and looks older but we will definitely be back. The room had lots of character and even had a small balcony to enjoy the area.

I really enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfy. The location was close to cannery row. The female that checked us in was nice and answered our questions. The only thing I would of liked is some type of counter in the bathroom. I would stay here again.

My mother and I went to this hotel while we were visiting Monterey for vacation. The rooms are excellent, the hotel cost is welly priced. My mother and I had an amazing experience here with a cozy bed, cozy fireplace, and we really enjoyed the hotel being close to restraunts, so we would be able to walk to get food. Thank you Cannery Row for making our stay cozy & comfortable!

Lovely hotel, the rooms were clean and the housekeeping was kind. TV worked well but the Wi-Fi was a little slow, the neighborhood around was very nice and had lots of food options. Definitely will be returning! Favorite place on our trip!

We had such a wonderful stay at this inn - the room was comfy and clean and we loved the wooden beams on the ceiling! The fireplace itself could be updated but we loved the fact that we had a fireplace in our room. The location was phenomenal; we were a block away from the water and within walking distance to a ton of local attractions. This was one of our favorite places that we stayed on our trip!
