Victorian Inn

Stayed there for three nights and it was certainly a most pleasant stay. Our room was clean and the balcony offered a lovely view of the bay. Breakfast was pretty good with a wide variety of morning beverages, and the complimentary afternoon wine and cheese was great! Indoor parking garage was a plus as well. Staff was always polite and helpful. Cannery Row is within walkable distance. This is my go-to hotel in Monterey.

Good but old rooms well maintained. Neat and clean. Front desk staff are good and helpful. Morning breakfast is complementary and tasteful. It is served between 7.00 and 10.00 am at lobby, little bit crowded between 8.30 to 9.30. Parking place is very compact. Good experience.

The Victorian Inn was great! We got two rooms for one night and loved our stay. Loved the friendly and helpful staff, wine and cheese hour, free breakfast, great location, near the aquarium, Cannery Row, restaurants, trails, bay, etc. excellent room with fireplace in balcony and double sinks in the bathroom. Great value for this expensive city. We will be back.

My daughter has never seen a fireplace and she was mesmerized. They also have 4 luggage trolleys so we didn't have to wait / fight for them. The staff was kind, and their breakfast and wine hour was excellent. They had two sinks, one inside and one outside the bathroom! However, the shower was out of bodywash. :(

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. We were in town for a business/personal vacation. We really enjoyed staying at the Victorian Inn. It is in a very good location for shopping, restaurants, sightseeing. We had a bit of trouble with the gas fireplace that they couldn’t fix right away and they gave me a $75.00 courtesy credit without me asking. I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for a couple nights while driving from SoCal to Seattle. It was very comfortable, an excellent location with bars/restaurants/aquarium within walking distance, and they allow cats! Definitely great value for money as well. The fireplace in the room was a great touch.

Loved this cute Victorian hotel! Rooms are decorated so nice and we had a warm fireplace. My family loved it. Rooms are spacious with a table and window sitting area, and desk. We will definitely book here again when we are in town.

Great little hotel. Some of the decor is dated but the rooms are comfy and the location is amazing. Nice touch with the wine at 5pm and also the breakfast is not fancy but they have a waffle machine!! Really enjoyed our stay there.

Everything that is romantic and vintage; visually and aesthetically put together rooms; thoughtful gift to couples with a beloved well-loved dog. High quality not falling short on quantity and truly memorable guest services. Nearby beautiful ocean sights, lemongrass lotion & body wash, wine & cheese snacks, intimate and cozy during our holiday stay. We will be coming back, highly recommend!

Convenient location, friendly and easy check in and out.

Limited option for breakfast but was sufficient and tasty, especially the scramble eggs with cheese

Cold water available at lobby which is appreciated especially on hot days

Easy sheltered parking at reasonable rate

Room is dated but comfy, no Aircon so will be hot in summer. My room was facing main road so it was very noisy as I have to open the window. Wi-Fi works well

This hotel really deserves 5 stars because of all services.When we booked the hotel we told them it is our 1st anniversary.When we walked into the room there was a gift for us.
Hotel is very clean and nice.We had breakfast they were bringing food every 2 min,clean table all other services.
That is how hotel services should be and make costumer always happy.

Nice place, really enjoyed our stay. 7 minute walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Complimentary breakfast. Free wine and cheese in the afternoon.

This place is awesome. Very quaint, the rooms are large, extremely convenient and walkable to aquarium and cannery row. Secure parking for 17$ that's totally worth it, and free breakfast that's surprisingly good. Would stay here again and recommend to all friends. Walls are a little thin but it's not the worst.

This place was an absolute home run. The location can't be beat. The breakfast has tons of delicious options and the service was friendly and family-like. Highly recommend paying a little extra for the rooms with a fireplace. It was soooo cozy getting to fall asleep to a beautiful fire during the chilly rainy nights. Will definitely be back!

Had such an incredible stay here for my birthday. The staff is so diligent and works so hard to make everything perfect and run smoothly. The breakfast was delicious and they were so quick to make sure everything was clean and refilled, they are so appreciated! We loved the fireplace and balcony, and the bottle of wine and chocolate they left in our room :) will definitely be back!!

Lovely rooms and stay. Breakfast was pretty good. Location is great, could walk to almost everything. My only complaint was the street noise was loud as if the windows didn't block any of it out.

This place is walking distance from the Aquarium and one of the lowest prices in the area that isn't too far away. The street is quiet with only few cars passing by.

The room itself is clean and spacious. I have no complaints other than the room wifi was very slow that if you try to mirror cast and stream your favorite movie/tv show, it wouldn't play completely. And if you use your own LTE, it wouldn't work because you need to be connected to the room wifi for the mirror cast to work.

The fridge was also empty so we had to buy bottled water 3 blocks from here. There weren't any utensils so if you decide to bring in a togo order, make sure you bring utensils from the restaurant. There is a keurig coffee maker, coffee mugs and sugars but that's it.

Staffs were friendly except for one during our checkout. Anyway I recommend this place if you want to visit Monterey aquarium.

We have been incredibly comfortable here over the last 10 days. The king room with fireplace for 2 adults is spacious and clean. Our room has a large shower and 2 sinks — one in the shower room and one outside in the vanity area — making it quicker and easier to get ready at the same time. All rooms have a patio or balcony.

Breakfast (7-10am) has both hot options (egg and sausage) and cold options (yogurt, cereal, whole fruits, waffles, etc.). Afternoon wine/cheese hour (5-6pm) offers cheddar and Gouda plus crackers and Red Delicious apples (which are salty — I would change that, btw) plus a Sav Blanc and Cab Sauvignon, lemonade and iced tea.

We have visited Monterey ~8 times over the last 2 decades and have stayed in VRBOs/AirBnBs and B&Bs. Since the CV-19 pandemic started, room inventory in the area seems to have remained low. Our choices were to either pay $800/night for a VRBO/AirBnB/B&B or to pay average of $300/night here. It was well worth it to book direct with the Inn — we received an upgrade to 3rd floor, which may have been bc we booked direct.

Would definitely book here again — and will.
