The C Restaurant + Bar

We had ann amazing dinner for our anniversary and then two wonderful visits to the bar! Luis was so professional and definitely had great drink knowledge! One night we came in a few minutes before closing and a server said he was sorry he just clocked out but Luis took out to go desert order and was so patient and kind! This restaurant really makes the hotel. Amazing and Luis is such a great front man at the bar!

Had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and then went to the bar later that day for drinks. We asked for a tequila old fashioned cocktail and the lovely bar man Luis made us one of his own creations. He called it a Mexican old fashioned and it was honestly the best cocktail we have ever tasted. Luis is a very skilled mixologist and hopefully his Mexican old fashioned will become a regular drink at the C bar.

Excellent food and service by the ocean and with live music as well. The sea bass was a special that day and the prawns and dungeness crab pappardelle was great as well. Would highly recommend it.

This restaurant is such a gem! Every single surface was spotless and every single staff member was so attentive and professional while maintaining friendliness and warmth. The view is beyond compare, so be sure to make reservations noting a window table (though every seat has a pretty great view). The warm rosemary bread with goat cheese butter topped with lemon olive oil is stellar! I'd be remiss if I skipped the dessert; the Baked California is outstanding!!! The acoustic music Thursday through Sunday evenings provides the best relaxing environment.

Had breakfast at the restaurant. Live music and great view of Monterey Bay. Wait staff was attentive and food was good. Originally I was a little hesitant about the place being too foo-foo, glad to see my fears were not justified. I ordered Ham and Eggs, what I got was what I was expecting...a hearty breakfast.
(I was worried about getting dollops of egg foam, resting on a slice of potato and surrounded by ham puree.) 😆

Later that evening I was desperate for a cup of regular coffee. Not expresso or latte, just a regular cup of hot black coffee. The bar was able to come to my rescue with a cup of coffee I could take back upstairs. Really appreciated not having to run out to get a coffee.

I love this hotel and the restaurant but haven’t been back for quite awhile. The services, decor, food and drinks are still very good but it’s a bit pricey (we are on our 3rd year of COVID, everything is getting expensive, gas is $6 per gallon).

I had a great dinner and would recommend it to anyone.

HUGE shout out to this restaurant for their attentive service and kindness. Three hours before I was going to propose to my partner, my original plans fell through and I was stuck. The restaurant really pulled together to help with a backup plan - reserved us a great table, helped calm my nerves, and were extra sweet to us. I'm so grateful. ALSO since most of you won't be proposing... the food was great and the view was beautiful! Can't recommend this place enough.

Everything about the C restaurant was amazing for both breakfast & Dinner. Whenever we are in Monterey we love staying at the Intercontinental. The ease, the excellence in service, and the abundance of amazing dishes make the C a A+. If you want to escape the craziness of the aquarium for lunch the C is the place to be.
The cost is nearly the same but you can easily be seated. Where as lunch at the aquarium you are circling like buzzards to nab a table.

Lovely restaurant inside The Clement hotel. They have splendid views onto the water. The food is tasty and well prepared. The wild mushroom risotto I had was nice, with the sort of bite you'd expect to the rice when well made. Also good ceviche. Service is friendly.

We had an amazing dinner here at the C restaurant. The servers and waiters were attentive, unobtrusive, I'm incredibly friendly. The food was amazing. What really made it all come together was the perfect setting and pairing of wines. Highly recommended!

One of the ten best dining views in Monterey. Surf rolls gently across the rocks underneath you. Generally no problem getting a primo spot. Service attentive, prices hefty but reasonable. Hard to beat on a nice day. Often overlooked because it is a hotel restaurant.

Got a table outside with an oceanview. Incredibly attentive staff (Sharon)...Fresh seafood, intricate dishes. We ordered ceviche for appetizer, and seabass for entrée. When we visit Monterey again, we will definitely come here.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The C restaurant have an exceptional customer service and just amazing ingredients on all the dish we ordered. They also have live music on Saturday evenings. I had a lovely time dining here with their friendly staff.

Finally a place that's worth the cost in Monterey... As a local it's harder than you think. Everything is geared towards tourists here. I loved my scallops and sides and my husband loved the duck even though we both noted it was a bit dry which seemed odd (it was smoked). We went with two friends and they both really enjoyed their meals. Nice atmosphere and view. The service was spot on until we needed to cash out which took an additional 30 minutes. All in all a good experience and we'll be back.

Dog friendly, what makes a place dog friendly is not just allowing dogs but the staff have to be friendly with dogs ( instead of giving you attitude or vibe that they really don't want your dog here). The staff here are super friendly with my dog, and the food is delicious, will definitely be back.

Great ambiance, clean surfaces, friendly and professional staff, delicious food, music, amazing view of the ocean. What more could you ask for? The C delivered all these and more.
I can’t wait to go back.

This 5 star is for Jesse at the bar. The drinks were in point and conversation was easy and honest! He is an amazing bar keep, with hemade margaritas and a great bloody! Will definitely be back! Thanks Jesse, for a great day drinking experience and an all around fun time! Also, the restaurant was very nice and clean! Would suggest this establishment to any and all!

Wonderful meal. Service was fantastic. Prawn cocktail was a bit on the smaller size but the presentation and flavor was fabulous. Filet was perfect (med-rare) and the off menu special was Sea Bass which was cooked and flavored to perfection. It got a bit busy towards the end our meal but I'm seriously nit picking here. Can't wait to go back.
