I have started a new relationship with this business. After speaking to Henry on the phone and reading his reviews, i felt he was very professional and is there to serve his customers. While its easy to send someone to research or fix a problem that is not there expertises (time is money) he will assist you to find the right solution for the task at hand! Keep up the great customer service Henry!

Henry Perez is without a doubt the nicest guy ever! He was so helpful in fixing my sons truck issue and getting him ready for his inspection for NC! My son is stationed in Monterey but his vehicle is registered in his home state! Not only did he take care of a soldier, but he took care of my son! The service was perfect and they also gave us a very good price! José and his son Henry are awesome people and I would always recommend them to everybody. Had a great experience with Jack Fox Auto Service. I am from out of town and brought my Rv in to what I thought was a broken exhaust manifold but turned out to be something else that was a minor fix. Jack Fox was very honest about it. They could have very easily not told me and charged way more. They got me in and fixed the same day which was great since we are from out of town and were staying in the rv while in Monterey. I would highly recommend there service to anyone! They did great work and are very friendly and honest with you which is hard to find these days. Thank you Jack Fox!!!

Henry and Jose were very helpful when we broke down in Monterey. Our air conditioner compressor burnt out causing smoke from the engine. We thought we were in big trouble. Henry and Jose diagnosed the problem, quickly ,ordered the parts and fixed it. We are very grateful to their professionalism and quality of work.

I was in Seaside, CA, visiting from Utah for my son's 20th birthday and my check engine light came on! It was 7:30p on a Saturday and we were supposed to leave early Sunday morning for San Francisco. Google wasn't showing ANY auto shops that were open in the Monterey area until Monday. I thought we were stranded, the rest of our trip ruined AND I would be out a LOT of money for whatever mechanic had me at their mercy. We don't know anyone here so my husband told us to go to O'Reilly Auto Parts to at least have them run a free diagnostic. We did and it was engine misfire (4 codes!). As I was standing at the counter wondering what in the world was I going to do...Henry Perez from Jack Fox Auto walked in with one of his customers to get him a new car battery. We told him my issue and he told me to follow them back to his shop so he would take a look at it! WOW, angels DO exist! So it was 7:45p, their shop closes at 9p but Henry and his dad Jose stayed until 10p to make sure our car was good for the rest of our trip, topped off all the fluids, changed the oil, filled the tires, changed the sparks plugs and took it for a test drive to be sure there were no other problems. While Henry (the son) was working on the car, we had the GREAT pleasure of hearing Jose's story, found out Henry is an aspiring journalist and how much sacrifice they have all given for others and their family. At the end of the night I walked out paying less than $200 and left with a full heart! I WISH they were in UTAH, I would never go to any other mechanic again! These two TRULY exemplify the meaning of honest, hard working and angels on earth. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Henry and Jose for caring, giving and paying it forward.

I took my VW Jetta in with whole car shaking anytime I hit > 60 mph. Henry assured me my car was, in fact annoying, but driveable, not charging me some absurd price to fix something that didn't need fixing. I continued to drive her for a year (the shaking subsided) + after a few oil changes, new front brake pads & front tires from the always helpful, always affordable Henry + crew, drove her all the way from CA to VA. Cannot recommend this place enough! Not many mechanics exist like these guys!

For the second time Henry Perez and his crew came thru for my son! He is stationed in Monetary at the moment! As a mother 42 hours away I have 1 less thing to worry about when it comes to my sons vehicle! Not only do they look out for their customers new or returning, they do quality work at a great price! I have an old 1982 brougham RV. It has had several problems in this past year that I have owned it. Every time I bring it to Richard (Jack Fox himself), he has fixed the problem. I have been very satisfied with his work. They are very nice people and they actually care about what they are doing. I would recommend them to others.

As someone who moves to different parts of the country on a regular basis, I am not able to maintain a place to perform vehicle maintenance. That said, I am a gear-head at heart and know enough about vehicle maintenance and small engine repair to know a good mechanic when I find one.

The shop may not be expansive, may not be well lit, may not be able to guarantee same day service and may not have racks of the latest diagnostic computers put on display to make you feel at ease…but anyone that starts by saying “Let us listen to it” vice, “We need to plug it in” is getting off on the right foot.

I have been to the shop a couple of times now, for different vehicles, and each time I have walked away completely satisfied. I have had no re-work, no missed diagnosis, no loose rattles. If they see something out, they fix it. These guys pay attention to details and will look for the actual problem instead of just changing parts until the code goes away. If you request something that is normally beyond the scope of what they do…they will do everything they can to expand their scope.

Bottom line, these guys can fix it…and take care of you in the process.

I love these guys! It's hard to know where to go, I needed some help with my lights, they got me right in. Fair price. All success to you going forward.
