Anthem Coffee & Tea | Old Town

Adorable and relaxing! A far cry from chaotic! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and were all smiling!! Great price for a snack and coffee in an environment friendly enough for teleworking or catching up with friends!

I love the Old Town Anthem. It's one of my go-to spots after my morning downtown-Tacoma-high- school-drop-off -- when I can't bear the idea of immediately going straight home just to sit in front of my computer. My favorite drink is the Wake Up Call with either vanilla or lavender syrup. It's everything I want in my morning espresso. And what makes it even better is the walk I can take on the waterfront when I'm done.

Very nifty little coffee shop right in the Old Town park, it's a gorgeous place to eat outside! Love the industrial decor & the coffee was delicious!

Great coffee and gluten free treats! We are going to return to try the other drinks and food. If you want a Tacoma feeling coffee shop, this is your place. Bonus it's next to the park for the kids to play.

Glad to have a coffee shop here again! Missed Treos. Sunday mornings and bike rides have a good place to stop.

I’ve been a Starbucks junkie for years, but they have nothing on Anthem! The friendly staff, warm and inviting atmosphere, and probably the best mocha I’ve had, will bring me back many times! I highly recommend the Old Town location. It’s got it’s own vibe, unlike anywhere else in the city.

Friendly staff, funky, fun atmosphere, food is good, especially considering nothing is made from scratch here. Nice outdoor seating. Near Glass Museum.

Visited for the first time recently and I loved the laid back atmosphere. Deedee was working the front and she had such a calming presence. She was very patient with me as I was debating on what to get. Both the pastry and the drink was delicious, I will definitely be back again!

Another fantastic location of Anthem, amazing coffee, the best service and friendly staff. Great place to hangout or get something to go. The food is delicious too! Street parking wasn't too bad, but I could see it being a little harder on a nice day. Which is to be expected.

I have been here several times and my drink has always been just right! Parking is easy to find and navigate. Parking is both on street or a small lot a bock down. In the morning there seem to be a few locals that gather and meet for coffee and it has a "welcome neighborhood" feel inside. There is a small food menu with healthy options and curbside delivery for pick-up, but I haven't tried that yet.

Very nice for what it does. Essentially a bistro, with good seating, coffee/tea/beer/wine beverage service, hot and cold snacks and some light hot dishes, including hot, fresh made sandwiches. I had a toasted hot chicken sandwich and "anthem fries," seasoned shoestring potatoes with shaved cheese. Good quality. Service is friendly and efficient. No off-street parking, but on street parking is readily available. Pleasant Old Town location across the park from the Carr cabin.

Excellent coffee shop. I meet with a group of guys here almost every Saturday to knit and drink coffee. The peppermint mocha is excellent, and their Italian sodas are so refreshing. They have a selection of baked goods, but my favorite food they offer has to be the flat bread pizzas and their garlic fries.

Lovely place. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the team members take ownership of the shop. I’m visiting from OKC and received lovely suggestions on places to eat in Tacoma. Would definitely recommend!

Almost always do latte art no matter the alternative milk! Which means the milk is steamed properly every time! Good select of flavours, have a fun specialty menu. Baked goods are high quality. Every Anthem barista I've encountered is wonderful, they care about craft and are very friendly.

We love Anthem coffee. Our whole family gathers her on Sunday and we just hangout for hours. It is such a welcoming place.
They have a app that allows you to order via your smartphone and it seems to work quite well. 20% off on the first order i think.
The coffee is great and the staff are very friendly. I believe they use DCR and offer a very traditional style coffee. I think its on the dark side but people but I have always preferred lighter roasts. We were actually fortunate enough to win one of the contest they put on and were given a $230 gift card!
The atmosphere here is great and being so well placed near the park and waterfront you can't go wrong stopping here before walking on Ruston or taking the kids to the playground.
The food options are wonderful and on Sundays they have some all day special on a food item or two. We got some the taquitos today and they were wonderful. The dipping sauce has a great flavor also.
The seating here is well suited for small groups and there are plenty of outlets for computers and other electronics.

I often use this place as my office as a realtor in North Tacoma! The staff are the friendliest and the coffee is so delicious and a lot of yummy treats to be had! It’s very cozy and good alone or with friends!

It was an amazing experience, I’ve gone for lunch and brought my family. I’ve taken my lady out on dates here. It’s a humble place with awesome food and drinks. If you’re an IPA and a coffee lover try their cold fusion. Anthem coffee has taken my heart by storm.

I've always loved Anthem Coffee and Tea in Puyallup! Now I love it even more since this location opened up closer to where I live. Great coffee! Great apps and small plates. And an awesome location a block away from the waterfront!

Warm atmosphere and excellent coffee/espresso.

I went to the Old Town Anthem Cafe to get a caramel chai during my lunch break and the only barista that was there named DeeDee made it exactly how I like it and was very accommodating and upbeat. Definitely will come back
