South Sound Running Puyallup

Went in today to find some running shoes for my son. Kurt was so helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. Getting advice and guidance on finding the right type of shoe was fantastic. He helped us pick out the correct shoe for my son. We will all be back to get fitted in future. Thank you SSR!

The gentleman working alone last night right before closing was top notch!! His attention was divided between 4 groups and he made sure to handle each group with grace and great customer service - I believe everyone walked away with a pair of shoes! He made me feel like I was the only person in the store and took time to analyze my run and find the best shoes for me. As a newer runner, I was a bit intimidated to try out a running store, but so glad I chose South Sound Running! Thank you!

I visited here on a weekday morning. I can't remember the name of the older gentleman that helped me pick my shoes, but I am very grateful. I was specifically looking for a shoe that I could both run and work in, while also mitigating some pain I have due to a recent ankle injury. I got to try on multiple sets until I found the perfect shoe. Thank you guys so much!

Outstanding customer service. The lady who helped me out provided a on the spot fitting and analysis for new shoes. She brought out numerous pairs based on my stride and how my feet strike the ground. Just a great experience overall. Even offered to call anotber store to get shoes transferred for a color preference. Ended up going with the Brooks Ghost.

I've come here twice for running shoes as a cross country runner and both times I've come, the staff has been incredibly helpful to me, from determining what shoe would be the best feel, to analyzing my arch type. They care very much about what they do and I recommend this business to anyone in need of running shoes.

Fantastic local running store! They are super friendly and no pressure when helping you find the right shoes to fit your specific needs/feet! I have bought my last few pairs of shoes here and will continue to do so! They are locally owned and they also support lots of local events and even donate lots of new running shoes for them.

Great customer service! I went in to find a decent, supportive pair of walking shoes. I have large feet and had some injuries so shoe shopping is often difficult and I end up returning many pair if I buy online. I believe the woman that helped me was Jenn. She was very knowledgeable, heard my needs and concerns and helped me find a pair that so far, really meets my needs! It often takes me time to try them on and get it just right. She was more than willing to let me try several pairs and see what felt right for me. I also love that they have a 30 day guarantee to be able to return for store credit! I have bought a few pairs online, wore them in a bit and was found they would not work out, then I was out that money. I will definitely be back to this store for more! Thanks for the excellent service!

Had a great talk with Kurt and he analyzed how I put weight on my feet while I run. Hopefully the new shoes I got will be better than my old ones which gave me some issues when I ran for a while. He gave me many shoes to try on and spent a lot of time making sure we got it right! I really appreciate the care provided and highly recommend this store.

Another productive trip to South Sound Running Puyallup. Customer service is always great and they’ve really helped me get outfitted perfectly over the past month or so as I’ve been training a lot and trying to find the right gear.

I was blown away by my experience here. I haven't run for many years and wanted to get back into it. I walked in just planning to pick the shoes that I thought looked good but Jenna steered me towards potentially the best shoes I have ever purchased based on the way she saw me jog in the store. I never would have picked the shoes I did without her expertise. I now look forward to running which I would have never said before. Great place

I came in by the recommendation from my PT for shin splints and heel pain due to ill fitting shoes. The gentlemen who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable and the shoes he recommended changed my running game! It’s been about a month and no pain at all! 10/10 experience

Had a great experience here. Charles is so knowledgeable and patient. Spouse & I each found a pair of shoes that we needed. South Sound also has everything from reflective running vests to foam rollers, to compression socks, to mace. Will definitely be back!

Excellent shopping experience! Knowledgeable friendly staff address my needs and concerns and got me exactly what I was looking. I wear a size 11 and after sizing me correctly I left with a size 10 in one pair and a 10 1/2 in the other. I will be being me son and wife back with me next time. They have made a lifelong customer out of me.

What an excellent store and staffing. I went in here last Thursday, 01.16.20, and was put through the process of being fitted. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. He has me run and walk and instantly identified factors important to show selection. We tried on about four pairs and the obvious winners were purchased. I've been running in my new shoes and realize I've NEVER had a shoe fit right. Give these folks a chance!

These folks are *stellar.* Everyone I've worked with there really knows there stuff, and their exchange policy is *amazing.* I've had to return shoes twice, because after I ran in them one or twice, I just realized they weren't going to work at all, and they're amazing about it. It's so easy to work with them, and they're fantastically knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store.

My girlfriend and I went there to get her a pair of walking shoes. The store representative, sorry cannot remember his name, was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. He practiced social distancing (never thought I would put that in a review), and had her in a pair of Brooks within 15 minutes. Other customers came into the store, he acknowledged everyone, and kept us all abreast of what he was doing, who he was helping, and practicing courtesy with social distancing. Saturday June 20, 2020 @ 1400 hours.

Great service and selection. Great being helped by people who know shoes and running. I'll be back for sure. Plus you can support a local business and I thought prices were about the same as the national chains.

The young lady that helped me was very pleasant & not the pushy sales person type. I think she said she normally works at another store location (S.Sound Running ) She was very knowledgeable of the details of running shoes designs & running mechanics & picky feet. Was looking for a new shoe as my other long time favorite running shoe was discontinued. I got the Nike Pegasus 34 and they work for me. Felt a little snug at first but they are adjusting good after a few days. Just enough support, flexibility and not too cushiony so my feet feel in control.
